The drive to Leonardo's mansion was silent and tense. Alesia sat beside him in the back seat of the sleek black limousine, staring out of the window at the passing city lights. Leonardo exuded a cold, commanding presence, his gaze fixed straight ahead, betraying no hint of emotion or thought.
As they arrived at the sprawling estate, the gates opened to reveal a grand mansion, it's exterior illuminated by soft, golden lights. Alesia felt a shiver run down her spine as they pulled up to the entrance. This was to be her new home, a fortress of luxury and isolation.
Leonardo stepped out first, offering Alesia a hand as she exited the car. His touch was firm but devoid of warmth. He led her inside, the grand foyer with its marble floors and crystal chandeliers making her feel even smaller and more insignificant.
"Welcome to your new home," Leonardo said, his voice a low rumble. "I hope you find everything to your satisfaction."
Alesia managed a nod, her throat too tight to speak. A servant appeared, taking her luggage and leading her to the master bedroom. The room was a picture of opulence, with a four-poster bed, silk drapes, and an ornate fireplace. But it felt like a glided prison.
"Goodnight, Alesia," Leonardo said, his tone final. "We have much to discuss tomorrow." With that, he turned and left, leaving Alesia standing alone in the vast, empty room. She changed out of her wedding dress and slipped into a nightgown, feeling the weight of her new reality settle heavily on her shoulders.
As she lay in the unfamiliar bed, staring up at the ceiling, Alesia couldn't help but wonder how she would survive this marriage. Leonardo was a man of power and control, and she was just a pawn in his game. Tears slipped down her cheeks as she thought of her father, of the life she had been forced to leave behind. She had always dreamed of a loving marriage, but now she found herself trapped in a cold, loveless union.
