JOURNEY TO THE ISLAND

It was a bright morning and everyone had slept peacefully like a baby. Author had woken up early and said his goodbye to the villagers, then he sadled his horse and continued on his way.

It was a long journey but Author had finally arrived at the sea port in order to board a boat.

Author walked up to one of the boat captains and started a conversation.

" Greetings sir, I will like to know how long it would take to get to this island and how much it would cost." Author asked while pointing at a location, in a map.

" Are you crazy boy? No boat owner can take you there, that place is too dangerous and the waves around there will carry away any boat wich approaches the island." Replied the boat owner.

' What do I do now? I tried the travel spell this morning and it didn't succeed.'

((That was because the witch who lives there have casted a stronger spell to reject all traveling spells leading to that place.))

" Please sir is there any other way? I can pay you triple the price if you take me there."

" Let's go."

The Boat man welcomed Author on his boat and there were some other crew members on board wich would be dropped in other ports as the journey continued.

The boat had finally arrived at the area where the island was located and a very huge beast emerged from the sea.

This beast looked like a huge octopus but at the end of it's tentacles, were heads of Snakes.

" Damn it I should have thought about this. Of all places this monster shows up here." Said the Captain of the boat.

"What is that?" Author asked.

" That is a Kraken, it looks like an octopus but it is not an octopus, it is very dangerous." Replied the Captain.

Author looked at the beast, it just stood there not attacking, it seems as if it was looking for something or trying to say something.

" Ready the canons. Fire"

The captain shouted.

" Wait" Author, before interrupting, the Canons had already been fired.

The beast got angry and it started sending it tentacles on board the ship and around it.

The crew members who could fight, picked up their swords and began slashing the tentacles.

The beast became more enraged and wrapped it's tentacles around the ship, then it threw the whole boat on the island.

"Oh no my boat. It has been destroyed, so how will we get off this island?" The Captain lamented.

Author stood up and asked the man how much his boat would cost and Author paid for both the boat and his transport fee, then Author went on his way.

' I have just three days to return to the Duchess before she dies, so I must be quick.'

Author kept on going till he reached infront of a cave.

He took a deep breath and entered the cave, it was dark and cold in there and Author was moving with caution.

Author had gone in deep into the cave and he reached at a certain area that was suprisingly warm.

"I must say you look like your father." A voice echoed out of nowhere.

Author's heart skipped upon hearing the voice and he searched around to know where the voice was coming from.

" Are you the witch who practices Blood Magic?" Author asked.

" Are you the one who will die if he saves the Duchess?" Asked the strange voice.

" What do you mean?" Asked Author in confusion.

After Author asked this question, a figure started forming infront of him. When the figure finished forming, Author could see a young beautiful woman. She was so beautiful and that came as a supprise for

Author.

" Oh shit, why are you naked? " Author asked while closing his eyes.

" You can open your eyes." Said the witch.

Author opened his eyes just in time to see how her clothes finished forming on her body out of thin air.

" I thought you would be older." Author said with a supprise look.

" Oh yes I am old but I can make myself look younger, with my magic powers and I had made aging go slower. That is something you will learn with time. I can smell you are still an apparantice, so you have a long way to go." Said the witch.

" I have so many questions but I will like to ask how you knew my father." Asked Author.

" He was a friend of mine, we use to explore the world of blood magic together to expand our knowledge.

There was another evil force that was always trying to enter our dimension, so we decided to fight against it with all the power we had.

But this evil was not only strong but it was smart.

It decided to play with the mind of Kings and they started making decisions for them.

That is when king commanded the slaughter of all wicthes and wizards. This made I and your father to part ways and I came to this island, but your father remained in the kingdom to save you and your mum."

When the witch finished explaining this details, she started crying.

" I wish I was there with him to save his family but I left him alone." said the witch.

" It wasn't your fault Linda" The witch heard Author's voice, but it sounded different.

" Lawrence, is that you?" Asked the witch.

" Yes it is me. I left my consciousness in the nest crystal that I stored my powers in.

Everything that happened was for a reason. If you could have stayed back, you would have died in that battle. but I am happy you are here. together we can still finish our task." Said Lawrence.

' So all this while you were my father?'

(( Yes I am just his consciousness.))

Author had switched back to his normal self and the witch had a determined look on her face.

" Do want to know what will happen if you save the Duchess?" She asked.

"Yes " Author replied.

The witch brought out a bowl full of water that seemed to be evaporating as vapor was coming out of it, then she waved her hand over it and images started appearing.
