Skeleton adventures

Ghastly wanted to fight with his mother,but Skulduggery didn't.He disobeyed orders and went with a attack group to destroy a foreign operations base,and by the time someone realised that there was a Skeleton in the wheelbarrow,it was too late.And so Skulduggery was allowed to join this attack.

Guild.Thurid Guild was on this strike against Mevolent,eager to find out what the offensive would look like.He was old among the soldiers,rivalling Meritorious.

They made it to the base in half a week,and struck in an instant.Skulduggery lead the way,being the best of the group,he decided.He kicked down the metal pole in the tent and the front half of it was on the verge of collapsing.He set a wooden stool on fire,sending smoke into the air,blocking everyone's vision.But by then the offensive knew what they needed.Shots were fired,shadows were thrown,beams of energy were blasted and fireballs were thrown.They destroyed the elders of the base in a minute.

But this was a noisy fight.So the other camp was alerted.The children.Girls,boys,all under 20.They were rookies,newbies,innocent.They didn't deserve to die,but they were under the influence of their parents,who were followers of the faceless ones.They didn't want to fight though.

So when they spotted the attackers,they threw fireballs and water,weak attempts to scare the attackers away.And then Guild walked in.He had been far away,looking at how things worked,and now he knew no one wanted to kill the rookies.So he decided to kill them.

He snapped his fingers and threw fire,flames engulfing a girl as she screamed and rolled and died.Skulduggery saw this and ran up to him,subduing him with a punch and a kick and a beating."What are you doing!They're children,don't attack them!Let's go now!"The skeleton chided and dragged an unconscious Guild back to camp.

Guild was forcefully taken away after they reached the sanctuary,as Skulduggery was going to hit him,and hit him hard after he tried to and did kill a child.They managed to get him off of the skeleton after a long fight and a lot of snark comments.

It was Skulduggery's new fatherly instinct.Protect the children.He was a father first and soldier second,he said,or started saying from then on.

His wife was about to give birth.6 months since the war started.Half a year.Of fighting.Of killing.Of missing out.
