Homesick

(Ezekiel drives the two of them to the usual skate park. They both get out and walk into it. They see Mei first. She skates up to them, in something different)

Mei-" Hey~ Glad you BOTH could make it"

(Lynnon looks down at her choice of wheels today. She confusingly smiles)

Lynnon-" Roller Skates?"

Mei-" Yeah you like em? Wanted to try something new today"

(Lynnon looks back down at them. They were bright pink with dozens of stickers with unimaginable colors)

Lynnon-" I like them. I would've personally gone for yellow"

(Mei rolls her eyes and smiles. She gets beside Lynnon and grabs her hand)

Mei-" Now cmon. You too Ezekiel. Says the one who said skating wasn't their thing"

Ezekiel-" Whatever"

(Mei makes sure to skate a bit slowly so she didn't DRAG Lynnon to the ramp. Lynnon and Ezekiel sit down on a bench and Mei goes back to the team and continues to practice with them. Beside Lynnon's foot was a skateboard. She knew she couldn't ride it but she takes her good foot, steps on it then moves it back and forth as she sat. Ezekiel notices but doesn't say anything)

Lynnon-" You think Mei told the team about us?"

(Ezekiel chuckles)

Ezekiel-" Yeah"

(Ezekiel supports his head by resting it on his hand)

Ezekiel-" I mean it's Mei. No way she didn't tell anyone"

Lynnon-" I guess your right"

(Lynnon looked a bit down. Ezekiel looks over at her and stops smiling)

Ezekiel-" Hey... What's wrong?"

Lynnon-" Nothing"

Ezekiel-" Well It's obviously something. Don't lie to me"

Lynnon-" Well... I've been thinking a lot about Nana recently"

(Ezekiel's face goes blank)

Ezekiel-" The bastard who called me a pervert?"

Lynnon-" He isn't a bastard. Really"

(Ezekiel scoffs)

Ezekiel-" I don't think I'll ever learn to like him. For your sake, maybe, but no"

Lynnon-" Well other than you guys hating each other... I think I might want to visit him. Visit Texas"

Ezekiel-" So you've been feeling homesick?"

(Lynnon looks over at Ezekiel and he looked back, feeling a bit guilty. He showed it in his expression towards her as well)

Ezekiel-" I'm sorry If I caused that"

(Lynnon freaks out inside)

Lynnon-" What?! No no no, you did nothing wrong! Don't feel bad. I guess in a way, yes, I've been feeling homesick but you had nothing to do with it"

Ezekiel-" So... you want to go back?"

Lynnon-" Not for long. Maybe a week. I definitely plan on coming back. I just thought I should tell you first since... well... I'm living with you"

(Saying that made Lynnon have a tingly feeling in her stomach though nothing changed physically)

Ezekiel-" When?"

(Ezekiel asks looking back forward at the team practice)

Lynnon-" In a few days?"

(Ezekiel's eyes widen)

Ezekiel-" A few days?! That's so soon"

Lynnon-" I WANT to go soon. When I come back, I'll be able to skate again so it would all work out"

Ezekiel-" Are you sure you have to leave so soon?"

(Lynnon looks in his direction but doesn't look at him. She looks down and slowly nods)

Ezekiel-" I don't mind you going-"

(Ezekiel leans in a small bit)

Ezekiel-" -But please just give me time to prepare"

(Lynnon looks up and their faces were close by less than 2 inches. Suddenly it felt like they were the only two people in the park)

Ezekiel-" You can't just leave and expect me to be ok... I'll be miserable without you home with me..."

(Lynnon turns red. Frozen by the shock of Ezekiel's sudden dominant behavior. Just after, they hear a faint voice call out to them)

Oda-" Guys! Our stuff is here!"

(Ezekiel looks forward and the team wasn't there on the ramp. He looks to his right and sees them heading towards a small mailing van)

Ezekiel-" Well I guess they need us now"

(Ezekiel stands then looks back at Lynnon who was still in shock)

Ezekiel-" Bear? Are you coming?"

(Lynnon snaps back into reality, though she was still flustered)

Lynnon-" U-Um yeah"

(Lynnon gets up as Ezekiel notices the board under her foot)

Ezekiel-" Wait don't!-"

(But it was too late. Lynnon had stood and the skateboard had slid right under her. She begins to fall forward before Ezekiel catches her. She's was screaming internally, embarrassed by the moment)

Ezekiel-" Are you ok? You aren't hurt, are you? Is your ankle fine?"

(Lynnon freaks out and rapidly stands up. She was so embarrassed that she had done that in front of him. Why did it have to be Ezekiel out of all people?!)

Lynnon-" I'm fine. I'm fine"

(Lynnon begins to walk away from confused yet worried Ezekiel)

Ezekiel-" W-Wait"
