Battlefield

Teams of the elite group separated on the battlefield as they strategized a plan to combat the deadly twins' duo. They had annihilated the lower to medium demons and now faced the beast known as the princes of darkness themselves, Drako and Dante.

Their reputation for being the bloodlust demon killers preceded them. So far there was no force or army that could ever stop them, until now when they had not just one or two, but thirty teens to fight against with almost the same speed, strength and agility as them, some had special powers.

Suddenly a new portal opened and more demons poured out almost tumbling over each other. Demons of various sizes in height and proportions. They ran in every direction attacking anyone in their path. They looked almost feral and hideous and made snarls with each attack.

The warriors spread out to cover more ground using their special abilities to push the forces of darkness back into the portal they emerged from.

With legions of them, the young elites had their job cut out for them. As they divided themselves and geared up their powers, those who were half Nephilim took to the skies to attack the flying demons. Those who had fire swords, daggers and other holy weapons attacked the grounded demons. It was a savage and ferocious battle. The demon's screech was ear-shattering as holy weapons made contact with them.

The sounds of metal clashing on metal, or metal to claws or bones. Battle cries as the warriors shouted in praise with each ground they regain. While the demons scream at their sudden demise.

The blood brothers continued their attempts to kill their new enemies. With each slash they made it cut right in the air. This was not what they were used to. When they made cuts it normally reveals blood, but these almost angelic warriors seem to have thick skin that was impenetrable.

"If you stay in one place, this battle will be over sooner than you think," Drako said to one of the warriors.

"If you think we are going to roll over and make this easy for you, demon, you have something else coming to you," one of the female warriors sneered.

Suddenly Dante turned his attention to the east and smiled.

"There is one that is not quite, right brother. Maybe we could try bringing them to our side to even the playing field?" Dante said eyeing a young girl whose hair was half long half shaved fighting another demon further down the field.

Drako turned to spot the warrior goddess his brother referred to. He raised an eyebrow at him. "You think she will join us?"

"I sense a darkness within her, perhaps she just needs a little push to come over," Dante cunningly smiled.

"How do you want to do this?" Drako asked him as they deflected blows from the Christian warriors.

"Can you handle this child general and his merry team, while I gain her attention?" Dante asked.

"Sure. Don't take too long... we need to eat to keep our energy up," Drako warned.

"You can't ignore us, demons. We will not allow you both to run free anymore?" General Clint shouted at the berserkers.

Dante left the group to go after his new target. General Clint tried to bar Dante from leaving his present fight causing him to disappear into black and red smoke with a big smile on his face.

A Few meters down the battlefield, Captain Sharla along with her team of Liah, Tico, Nico and Marla strategized how to separate the dynamic beast duo.

"Liah, what do you see?" Sharla asked her best friend as she decapitated one of the heads of the high-order demons, that just entered the battlefield through a portal.

Liah's eyes stared wide with a blank expression for two minutes as her brow knitted before returning to normal.

"One of them will come to you, Sharla. They will be separated in a minute, so whatever you're planning, do it quickly," she replied.

Suddenly the five of them were engulfed in black and red smoke. A face appeared before Sharla smiling at her.

"Hello!" he drawled. Red and black smoke still surrounded them, plunging them into darkness, while he faced their captain.

"What do you want?" she asked staring into the demon's red eyes.

"Aren't you the fearless one? Allow me to introduce myself, I am Dante and over there is my brother Drako. We are like you..." he started.

"I am nothing like you, so don't get this twisted demon," she spat at him.

"My, my, you are a feisty one, aren't you?" He replied.

"You are killing innocent people, you both should be imprisoned for the rest of your lives and if you can't be reformed, then you both should be destroyed," she said.

"Don't you think that's a bit much? I came here to invite you to a sit-down."

"Why would I want to sit down with you?" Sharla asked as she swatted at the smoke in the location his eyes were just at.

"Because I have information that can help tell you who you are?" he began.

She paused for a moment then replied, "You don't know me..."

"I may not know you, but I can see the darkness that is inside you. And it wants to be let out. Why don't you help us get rid of the army and we can help you fill the emptiness you feel inside," he said.

"You can't offer what you can't give demon," she countered.

"Are you sure? Sometimes at night, you wake up screaming. You can't explain the darkness or the emptiness you feel inside. I mean even though you have surrounded yourselves with friends ..."

"They are not just friends they are family, maybe you don't understand the concept or the importance of having a family. Thus you wouldn't ask me to join you by killing them," she said using her sword to cut through the smoke. His voice now sounded like it was all around her.

"I command you to take your flight demon and leave this place and never return," General Clint commanded.
