The Underworld

Gargoyles... Real Gargoyles with stone-like wings were perched upon the highest peaks of the large marble building leaving me in awe. Their stone-like lips were peeled back showing their large sharp teeth as they growl in discontent. Their blood-red eyes watch my every move making me shiver.

Judging by the large talons digging into the top of the peaks they sit upon... I think it would take less than three seconds for them to tear me to pieces. I swallow hard as Leo quickly pulls me into the building. Large spiraling marble staircases wind up the sides of the grand building, branching off at different floors as the center was left open with a faint glowing light.

A few souls following men dressed like Leo step into the empty center and instantly disappear. I snap my mouth shut as Leo begins dragging me to the empty center. I start panicking again and try to dig my heels in. Leo turns to look at me in question and I quickly say "Can't we take the stairs?"
