No Longer At The Top

Nero shifts right next to Alec with sweat running down the side of his face. "What has happened?" He asks in a soft voice. Alec continues to watch the darkness for any signs of movement as I say "Welcome, We are no longer at the top of the food chain..."

Alec and Nero both turn to look at me with fear and aggression. "I need to know about everything you read about these things..." Alec says in a low voice. Even though the City started moving again it was still like everyone knew to be quiet. Even the children seem to understand this as they all stayed quiet.

I nod my head and say "Tomorrow... we need to stay alert tonight. I don't know if the texts I placed will work or how long they'll work." Alec nods and turns to Nero. "Have men stationed around the walls and keep a lookout. I don't think I have to say this but advise everyone to stay quiet. If anyone sees anything... tell them not to move."
