Explaining
"This is Alec, he's my boyfriend," I say as Alec awkwardly lifts his large hand in a way of greeting. My Father and Grandfather still look on in worry as my Mother softly says "But.. he's a Shadow Beast..." I try to keep my face neutral but I still feel a wave of surprise rush over me.
Shadow Beast? I clear my throat and say "I know he's a little hard to look at right now but he's quite easy on the eyes as a human... umm, right, Like many other things in life, there are good and bad in everything, right? Well... Alec here is a good boy."
Alec scrunches up his face as he looks down at me from behind "Good boy? What am I? A dog?" He thinks in displeasure as I continue to talk. "He's a monster Maya... step away from him child, he's not safe!" My Father says with a stern face.
