Unlucky Stars

Romera was completely shocked after hearing the declaration from Nora, while professor Nolan was quite happy, thinking that Ryan would remain his star pupil after all. 

Both of them had thought that she would be opting for The Creative Commanders house. After all, she has been the first one to solve the trickiest problem of Arithmetic archery that no one has even been closed to.

While other teachers of the school were hoping her to choose the The Swift Swords house, like her parents, as her mother was the greatest fencer of her time, but then none of them had assumed that she would select the house she had selected.

After all, no royal was currently recruited in that house and it would simply lead her to become the Captain of that house. 

Which was also logical and justified for a Royal, but for Nora not only rules but timing was also a factor, because she was new to the school and was not familiar with the rules and regulations.

Hence with this criteria, the Principal thought objecting Nora's selection and thinking that it would put him in the good books of David,he spoke;

Are you sure Nora, that you really want to choose this house…because if you are not aware of the fact let me tell you, apart from the competition of throne, there are many more competitions,that held in school and according to them the ranking of the houses are decided-

"Yes! Principal sir! I am well aware of this factor -"

She tried to interrupt him and place her point in front of him, so that she could get over with this house selection process and go back to her friends. Because from next Monday, her life was going to turn into an army routine, being followed on a hellish road.

But today her stars were indeed not in favour. Even though they have never had any mercy on her, but today they were in the mood for extra cruelty; so the Principal spoke again. 

"You are aware of it! If you are aware of everything already, then why in the world do you want to opt for this house? 

Have you already reconciled the fact that you are not going to win any battle, then why try-"

"I think you are completely wrong here, dear Princy! Because in my opinion, she is extra determined to win every battle.

And this is why she is willing to choose a house where no Royal has already been enrolled into, to keep the flame of completion alive. Am I right, Princess?"

While Nora was going through the battle of questioning about the grace of her stars, she heard David's voice in the background. And just like that, the battle fell into the bags of the argument, for which her stars never had been and would probably never be in her favour.

This is when the Principal opened his mouth again, 

"Da… David, I… This is not what I meant, child -"

"Do you think I care about what you meant or not? No! 

So just let her sign the forms and select her house peacefully, as I am here to discuss the plan of this year's annual sports meet and cultural events."

He spoke, looking at Nora with a smirk, which she wanted to ignore badly but still was unable to!

Hence, she quickly signed the form, taking this opportunity to leave the room, mouthing a soft "thank you" to everyone present there at once.

Including David- after all, she didn't want to take any favours from him and unknowingly, he had made her indebted to him.

Flashback of the previous night:

Nora rushed outside before Valerie could have been able to stop her and she stepped out to see that she had barged into Louis.

Getting a gesture from Louis to stay where she currently was, Valerie turned her back and entered inside the palace without any questions. And the moment he saw Valerie's silhouette vanishing from the doorway, 

"Nora! What happened, sweetheart? 

Are you awakened by some bad nightmares?"

For a moment, Nora forgot everything: every fear, every tension, every truth that she wanted to disclose, every problem that she wanted to discuss… 

Only one thing stayed in her mind: that it was the first time someone was consoling her after awakening from a nightmare, with gentle pats on her back… otherwise, all she had before coming to the school, was some kind words from the Moon Goddess, that too occasionally. 

And while she was lost in these thought of hers, they heard Robin's panicked voice, which brought their attention towards him. As soon as he spotted them, he come rushing from his previous place;

"What happened? Is she alright?" 

By now, she was stable; and finally managed to open her mouth. 

"Yes, actually, I have to select my house tomorrow and I don't know -"

"You are going to select The Authority Achievers House."

Louis spoke with absolute certainty, interrupting her in the middle. But before Nora could show her acceptance or present her resilience, Robin spoke up on her behalf. 

"But why, she is an excellent archer and even better fencer than -"

"Exactly why I want her to select this house.

Because, now that we all are standing at the point where we agree on the same assumption of her being the Sigma wolf, we should also remember three things. 

A sigma will never have her real scent before she finds her mate.

She is the only one to find her mate, based on his smell and that's too on her birthday; before that, no one can trace her presence on the basis of her scent. 

And most importantly, we don't have anyone who can teach her to awaken all her powers, only she is capable of doing this- and until then, she is always in danger."

Louis ended his statement and looked at Robin when he smiled and spoke;

"Welcome to the family, Louis! And I guess it's time for me to officially announce all three of us as one."
