“Now then.” Blake stretched his arms as he watched the other half of the team disappear into the clouds. “Those biotools aren’t going to find themselves. So, that building Joseph mentioned… Metacorps, was it?”

“Where even is that place, anyway?” Bernicia wondered. “We’re going out completely blind, with no leads on its location whatsoever.”

“Kit and Travis are doing the same thing,” Blake replied. “How are they going to find one person in such a big city? Heck, is Travis’s mom even in Chandonis?”

“Hmm, I guess it’ll be easier for us, then. Maybe,” Bernicia figured. “Buildings don’t really move, right?”

“I wonder if you jinxed it,” Blake mused.

“No way. I mean, I hope not. Actually, I remember reading that black wings are a sign of bad luck…” Bernicia shook her head. “Never mind! Come on; let’s loot the rubble before we leave. Maybe we’ll find something cool.”

“Worth taking a look,” Blake nodded.
