A whole new world

(Konoha Year 52)

Waking up disoriented, head throbbing, and a burning sensation in his gut, a young child sat up from his bed confused. Unsure where he was he looked around and found himself in an unfamiliar room. He tried to remember how he got there until he looked down and his hands and saw how small they'd become. That's when a memory popped through his mind. It was him or his old self, he had died and awoke in another realm and given a second chance to live. A god like being offered the chance to transmigrate into the Naruto world.

<Asuma Sarutobi POV>

Jumping up from the bed I ran toward a mirror in the room. What I saw shocked me even knowing why this happened couldn't shake the feeling of seeing yourself in another body. Especially a body of an fictional character, my heart sank I knew now that it wasn't just a strange dream but reality, my new reality. I was in a world of chakra and shinobi, where my chances of survival were low.

'No' I thought. 'I transmigrated into the body of a three-year-old Asuma I have the potential to reach elite jonin and higher with my boons and knowledge of this world'. The ROB that gave this chance at life chose where and who I'd be but gave me three wishes as long as it didn't break the rules of the world, after discussing my options I chose danger sense, senjutsu potential, and a 2x training multiplier.

First, from what was explained by ROB danger sense was a bloodline that could be explained as a mutation in my DNA. It give the user a sixth sense, it gives a general idea of what it is and where it's coming from and how to best avoid it.

Senjutsu potential allows for me to sense can integrate nature energy into my chakra to enter sage mode. As for why I can use it doesn't need to be explained as those with potential for senjutsu are random and not much is known as most who have it don't get the chance to become sages.

Finally the training multiplier is simple the results of my training is multiplied by 2 so if I train for an hour, my results would be as if I trained for 2 hours. It ability is also a bloodline that can be past down to children.

'Sadly the multiplier only works on me and not any shadow clones' I thought. 'He was pretty specific on that being the case'.

Just as I began to relax my thoughts and start coming up with a ideas on how to go about in this new world I heard a knock on the door. An young woman walked in, "Oh, young master you're awake. Breakfast is ready Lady Biwako is waiting for you" said the lady.

I answered instinctively, "Ok Yumi, I'll head down in a minute." She bowed down in response and left. 'It looks like I kept the memories of the original Asuma'. I felt a little sick knowing I took the place of another person. I decided to push it down, "Maybe he got a second chance like I did'.

Looking back at myself in the mirror I decided to change out of my pajamas and into some regular clothes. I put on a loose black shirt with the Sarutobi clan emblem, some dark blue shorts, black shinobi sandals. Stepping out of my room and following my memories to where the kitchen was.

<Biwako POV>

After asking Yumi to get Asuma for breakfast I began setting up the table and serving breakfast for little Asuma and I. As I was finishing up I heard tiny footsteps coming down the stairs. As I looked up I saw Asuma, he was calmer than usual but what stood out for me was something else.

His chakra was active and felt to be circulating naturally throughout his body. My eyes widened in shock 'How could this have happened, he would have needed assistance to unlock it'. I dropped what I was doing and rush to his side.

I began to look him over seeing no signs of injury or chakra burns. After not seeing any physical damage I began to use the mystical palm technique to look for any internal damage. But I found nothing wrong with him.

'I couldn't find anything wrong with him, yet I could see him begin to sweat'. I decided to ask since I couldn't find anything out, "What happened to you Asuma?".

<Asuma POV>

Taking the final step down the starts I turn left into the kitchen. As I entered I saw Biwako or should I say my mother. It was strange and hard to process as I began to realized what I lost coming into this world. Sadness was beginning to creep into me.

That however was pushed back for now as I saw a worried Biwako drop a plate while rushing at me. That was a surprise to me, she quickly began to look me over. Soon her hand began glowing and I felt a warmth entering my body following the path of her hand.

Caught off guard and rightly confused, kept quiet until she asked "What happened to you Asuma?". Now worried by her actions began to question if she realized that I took over her sons body. Sweat soon began to form on my face and my mind began to race.

Seeing her expectant look waiting for answer could only answer with confusion, "What do you mean mother? Nothing happened?".

'Quick and to the point right? I might have been to polite for a 3 year old' I thought as I waited for more information from her. "What do you mean nothing? Your chakra is active. I told you that you were to young to began using chakra!" She said.

A memory flashed in my head of that conversation from a few weeks ago. It didn't help though because it didn't explain why my chakra would be activated as I had no memory of Asuma doing so.

"I didn't do anything to unlock my chakra, I didn't know I did until you mentioned it." I said. I kept eye contact to emphasize my point.

She kept quiet, not breaking eye contact with me. I could see she was trying to read my body language. She then took a deep breath before continuing, "are you saying to didn't unlock your chakra yourself or have help?"

"Yes mother." I replied.

"If that is the case it's best we tell your father to see if he can figure out what caused this." She said. I could see her relax slightly before calling Yumi.

Yumi approached rapidly, "Yes Lady Biwako?"

"Yumi something urgent has come up can you clean the mess." She ordered.

"Yes mam." Replied Yumi.

Biwako quickly picked me up and rushed towards a large building.

This is my first story, I’m not much of a writer but I love fanfics. Criticism both positive and negative is welcome.
