The Encounter

I found myself in Lionsgate, observing a kid who appeared to be my age being attacked by a bandit. Initially, I prepared to intervene and assist him, but to my surprise, the kid proved to be more than capable of handling the situation. It was clear that he possessed heroic qualities. Acknowledging his triumph, I decided it was appropriate to introduce myself.

"Hey, um, my name is Keiko," I greeted him, but before I could say much more, I noticed a party approaching me. Realizing the urgency of the situation, I attempted to explain that I was present on official business, only to realize that they didn't understand the demon language.

"Wait, I'm the son of the demon lord—the one with black hair," I urgently explained. However, they expressed their ignorance regarding any message about the demon lord's son visiting. Moreover, they informed me of their duty to eliminate demons in accordance with the orders of King Lionsgate and the demon lord.

Perplexed by their aggressive stance, I couldn't comprehend why they expected me to willingly surrender and face my demise. I exclaimed, "Why would I volunteer for my own death? Are you all insane?" Despite my protests, the battle intensified, with fierce strikes exchanged between us. A mage attempted to use magic, only to have it nullified by magic cancellation. A hulking figure wielding a sword made an attempt to strike me, but he missed.

I made every effort to avoid physical contact, striving to prevent the situation from escalating into a full-fledged war. However, the challenge became increasingly arduous. Just as I grappled with this predicament, an unexpected twist unfolded. The kid who had been on the verge of being attacked by the bandit suddenly turned against me, stabbing me directly in the heart.
