Knights Corruption

"No! Amy, feeling the sting of the slap, retaliated by shooting an energy beam at her attacker. Amy was knocked to the ground, rendered unconscious. The world around Knight turned dark, and he was devastated. His rune grew, and his horn changed color. In that moment, he heard a voice urging him to embrace the change. Knight unleashed a relentless assault on the dark hero, landing fierce strikes. The hero attempted to dodge, but Knight's speed was unmatched.

Keiko, also known as Knight, felt scales growing across his body as his helmet cracked, and a spike emerged. Undeterred, he continued tearing apart the dark hero. Suddenly, the dark hero teleported and underwent a transformation, becoming equal in strength to Knight.

Within Knight's mindscape, he wept uncontrollably, burdened by guilt. He believed he could have done something to save someone. Then, Knight heard conflicting voices—one claiming she was alive and another insisting she was dead. Filled with anger, Knight unleashed dark tendrils towards the voice, engaging in an inner and outer battle. Meanwhile, outside the mindscape, Keiko, still known as Knight, fought on.

Simultaneously, Lycone, one of Knight's comrades, began succumbing to corruption. Witnessing the effect this had on their leader, Lycone grew sad. However, this sadness granted Lycone a significant power boost. The status screen revealed the utilization of emotional power, granting him a 50X boost to his stats, which increased further depending on his emotions. With one powerful strike, Lycone obliterated the enormous monster. Just as the dark hero gained the upper hand against Knight, Lycone called out Keiko's name, enraged. Charging towards the dark hero, Lycone turned the tide of the battle, causing the hero to falter momentarily. However, the dark hero underwent another transformation, prolonging the fight.

Yuki and Lycone joined forces, fighting the dark hero together, but their combined efforts were not enough. They found themselves on the losing side. The dark hero declared their intention to end it all, conjuring a massive energy bomb, and..."

At this point, the story continues with the unresolved situation of the impending energy bomb, leaving the outcome uncertain.
