Chapter Four--Senses

The student's had never been more frightened in their entire lives , some of them had never even seen a real ability outside of the TV. Liam's little shows were as close as they could get to elemental powers.

But that day , in front of their very eyes , the class was witnessing a fully fledged rank 3 being unleashing her full power. Ms Laura seemed to be in some sort of a trance, her eyes where open but it didn't look she could see anything in front of her.

All the students where mesmerized by that sight but Lex felt that something was wrong , he didn't know how or why but every cell in his body was telling him to get as far away as possible from their instructor.

"This is not good , we have to stop her " Lex tried to whisper to Adam but had to shout his words because of the noise coming from Ms Laura's winds.

Everyone picked up Lex's words but they could not understand what he meant by that. In their eyes Ms Laura was just showing them her power so they could be inspired.

But Linda seemed to react to Lex's words , she felt some familiarity between the energy released buy Ms Laura and herself. And she knew that the students , herself included where not safe in that environment.

"He is right, her winds are gaining power by the second"

"And how do you know that ?" Jake asked Linda .

"Just trust me alright !" Linda snapped back.

During this time , Lex was looking at Linda and he could not help but notice but her hair had gained a few shades of green just at the tip.

No one could notice that slight change but Lex always paid extra attention towards her. At this point the whole class had already moved towards the back of the classroom where the winds where less intense. Linda slowly advanced towards Ms Laura . Lex tried to follow but before he could reach halfway he felt some pain on his skin .The winds where hurting him just by blowing on his skin.

"How is she....." Lex muttered under his breath, he could not approach the teacher any further but Linda continued to walk before stopping 5 meters away.

"Laura !! Ms Laura!! " Linda shouted. Something was happening to her voice as she called out towards Ms Laura but only Lex noticed it as he was the closest.

Ms Laura blinked a few times before the winds disappeared , she softly landed on the ground and took in the sight in front of her eyes which had reverted back to their original colour. She was first surprised to surprised to see the young girl five meters away from her . Her surprise turned to curiosity when she laid eyes on Lex , which further evolved into shock then to fear when she the memories of the recent events filled her mind.

"Im so sorry, please excuse me " Ms Laura said while quickly making her way out of the classroom.The students went back into their seats as the tables and chairs except for Michael's were undamaged by the winds.As soon as Lex sat down Adam pushed his own chair closer to him.

"How cool was that ! " Adam exclaimed.

"Have you ever seen something that awesome? , how come she could fly ? , and was it me or did her eyes change colour ? , how did she make simple wind cut through a table?" Adam threw those questions towards Lex in rapid fire.

"You are asking the wrong person bro " Lex said

"Aw man imagine myself with that kind of power....." Lex cut off his friend before he could continue

"Wait wait Adam you know that there is no chance of you awakening the wind element right ?"

"I know that bro , i was just saying to have the fire equivalent of that power , you know i have never seen the fire element in action " Replied Adam

"But your mother has a fire aptitude." Lex expressed his confusion.

"My mom never does anything with her power , the only elemental fire i have seen is when she uses her finger to switch on the gas stove" Adam complained "She has a 'no elements in the house' rule just like the school"

Adam then realized something at that point

"Hey wait a minute, won't Ms Laura get into trouble for this?" Adam asked

Before Lex could reply to his friend's worries, Miss Laura walked into the class. She took a deep breath and spoke

"Im so sorry for the outburst, was anyone hurt ?"

no one said anything after that question and truth be told everyone was completely fine , even Linda.

"Ms Laura, what was that " it was Adam to voiced the question this time

"I just lost control for a few seconds but I'm fine now " Ms Laura was finding it hard to convey her words fully.

Michael wanted to ask more questions, but Ms Laura immediately cut him off

"I will explain everything after tea time, you are dismissed for now ,come back here after two hours "

The students started to leave the class but Ms Laura stopped Lex and Linda when they where about to pass in front of her.

"Can i talk to you two please "

The other students didn't fail to notice that Linda and Lex stayed behind. Naturally they knew that it had something to do with the recent incident. But many wondered why Lex was also called because it was only Linda who was instrumental in bringing back Ms Laura.

Lex and Linda sat down on the front row seats before their teacher started

"I won't take up much of your time , i just have a few questions" , the two nodded as she continued

"Even though i was not in control of my actions during.... what happened, i remember everything, Lex you where the first one to realize that you guys would be in danger . How did you know that?" Miss Laura inquired with her black eyes fixed on Lex

"I don't really know how , but... its kind of like i was getting more and more scared of you as time passed..."Lex trailed off at the end when he realized Linda was looking at him.

The explanation didn't really make sense but Ms Laura understood the gist of it.She just nodded towards Lex and then turned towards Linda

"Linda..you should be dead by now you know that"
