50: Sweet Endings
Logan
I can’t believe all that’s happened. It feels like a whirlwind of a dream I just can’t seem to get over. I’m spinning, but I’m happy.
As the weeks and then months pass by, I find I’m left feeling oddly whole. Even though I’ve had to say goodbye to an entire life, without actually getting to SAY goodbye, I feel calm and content.
Anyra is very busy with the pack. She’s been trying to rebuild all that her father had tarnished. Reconnecting with other packs has been the hardest part.
She went from average high schooler to queen in the blink of an eye. And yet, she’s taking it like a pro.
I’ve asked her if she intends to finish high school and go to college. She told me that she doesn’t need to. She has more important matters to worry about now.
So, as she goes about political agendas and social gatherings, I stand back and smile with pride. I have her. She’s mine, and I’m hers. I can’t believe how far we’ve both come.
