She Became The Boss's Lady After Divorce

Tessa ran away from home to get married to the love of her life, David Winston. On David's birthday, and their three years marriage anniversary, Tessa caught David cheating on her with his childhood friend, Olivia George, a figure from a prestigious family.  She found out that the man she thought was her soulmate only married her because of his family inheritance, now that he had gotten it, she was no longer useful to him. It was time for she to go her own way, after three years of hardship and unfaithfulness.  Tessa picked the pen up and signed the divorce papers.  ‘These people, they have no idea who they are messing with’ David smirked.  “Tessa is from the countryside, I bet her family are local farmers... She can't do anything. Come to think of it, she never told me anything about her family. Perhaps they are beggars! In the countryside” Olivia George screamed.  “Tessa, you will pay for this, I will show you that I am from the George family!” Olivia's quivering tone was heard.  “David... I... I... thought you said she is from the countryside, her family are beggars! right? cos what in the devil's name is going on” Tessa's cheeks raised slowly.  “I forgot to introduce myself. I am Tessa Wood. From the number one mafia family in the country” “Tessa, you would be crowned the next heir to the Wood family, but you have to marry somebody from the military, that is your grandfather's last request”

CHAPTER 90

Layla stepped inside the white room. Her movements were followed by the people in the celebration hall; they wanted to see what a Queen of war was capable of doing. However, they believed she wouldn't get close to James score.

They all believed she would have the same score as Joe, even though Joe was a one-star king of war, and Layla was a three-star Queen of war.

"You can't compare them; of course, the men's rankings were more brutal. A man would have to do more to be ranked as two or three-star king of war, whereas a woman could just do so little and would be given, just to promote equality."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I bet she would score the same thing as Head Commander Jonathan. His score was fifteen, that would be pretty decent for her."

"James has won this already, let's just declare him the winner."

Everyone was voicing out their opinion, and none of them had a fate that Layla could pull any surprise.
