Okashi took a deep breath. This would be his first time training in his new world, and he wanted to mentally prepare himself. The world of DXD was a very dangerous, and to protect himself and the people he loves, he needed to become stronger.
He first made sure to lock the door before starting, as he didn't want his family to see him train. Okashi started his training by doing 10 push-ups. He planned to start with 10 for everything he did, slowly increasing the number every month. After that, he did push-ups, sit-ups, squats, jumping jacks, and other kinds of exercises until he was completely tired.
After resting for a bit, Okashi sat down to meditate and sense mana. While Issei had almost 0 talent in magic, Okashi was already gifted magic by the goddess, he just had to learn how to use it. Since he didn't really know what to do, he chose the cliche MC route and tried to sense the mana in his body. It was a little difficult for him at first, but after focusing for a bit, he felt a warm feeling inside his body. "I guess this is my mana huh? I wonder how much I have in me. Hopefully it's a lot," Okashi said under his breath. After sensing it, he tried moving it around his body. He could do it suprisingly easily, so he decided to start experimenting with his mana.
He went outside and grabbed a rock. Okashi then slowly concentrated mana into his arm. After pouring in some mana, he started squeezing the rock. As he squeezed the rock, he noticed that it started showing cracks in it. Seeing this, Okashi put even more pressure on the rock, until eventually, it exploded! Seeing this made Okashi grin, as his hypothesis was correct. "It seems that pouring pure mana into my body increases my physical abilities. Now, what would happen if I added an image to that mana?" Okashi thought. He went back inside the house to test his new theory, but he noticed the lights were out.
Opening the door, Okashi yelled out with confusion, "Hey guys? Who turned out the lights?" Right after asking this, the lights turned on, with his family jumping out and shouting, "Suprise! Happy 3rd birthday Okashi!" Okashi was stunned, the excitement of training after school made him completely forget about his birthday! Nevertheless, seeing his parents and sibling smiling happily at him made him smile brightly.
Although he would never forget his previous family, the Hyoudou's were now real family to him, and he would do his best to make sure no harm would come to them. Although he knew that Issei's life would be full of peril and danger in the future, he would never let him die. He now truly saw Issei as his big brother, and wanted to do nothing more than support and defend him. He wouldn't baby Issei, he knew he had to grow stronger both physically, and mentally, so he knew he had to be stronger than his brother, to set a goal for him.
On that day, Okashi happily celebrated his 3rd birthday with his family, playing with his brother, watching Drag-so Ball(the DXD Dragon Ball rip-off), eating cake, and getting presents. One of the presents was a game system, which awakened the gamer side of Okashi, causing him to play video games with Issei for the rest of the day, where Okashi absolutely wrecked Issei. At the end of their gaming session, Issei let out a sad sigh as he said, "Jeez, how did I let my little brother beat me?" Okashi, seeing that he was sad that he lost, cheered him up by saying, "It's ok Issei, I'm sure you'll get better soon. But for now, we should go to sleep." Nodding at his younger brother's advice, Issei and Okashi took a shower, brushed their teeth, and went to bed.
And so Okashi grew older, getting stronger both physically and magically. While they weren't too noticeable, there were some small signs of muscle forming on him. On the magical side of things, he mastered magic at a good level, being able to control how strong the magic is when he uses it. He also completely mastered Kazuma's [Steal] magic, no longer having to rely on luck to use it. He also started using basic [Elemental] magic, but he didn't think that is was ready for combat yet.
One day, Okashi, who is now 5, and Issei, who is now 6, were heading to the playground to play, when they noticed there was a young boy on the swing. The boy had light brown hair that reached his neck, strange purple eyes, and a feminine face. He wore a black tank top with a yellow outline, yellow shorts, long white socks, and black shoes. He also had a blue hoodie wrapped around his face. Okashi was originally going to ignore him, but Issei said, "Little bro, we should go ask if they want to play with us! Also, before you say no, maybe that person could be your friend! You keep being antisocial and not talking to people, so as the older brother, it's my job to make sure you talk to people!" Although he wanted to deny Issei's claim, Okashi knew he was telling the truth. While people have tried to be friends with Okashi, he mostly either annoyed them so much they stopped being his friend, or they only wanted to be his friend for his intelligence, which made him deny them.
Seeing that his brother wouldn't let it go, Okashi sighed and replied with a wry nod. As the brothers walked over to the purple eyed boy, the child noticed them and said, "Hey, what do you guys want?" Issei then told him, "Hello, my name is Issei Hyoudou, and this is my little brother Okashi Hyoudou! We were wondering if you wanted to play with us!" Realizing that the brothers wanted to play with him, the boy said, "Ok, my name is Irina Shidou! I'l play with you guys!" Hearing the boys introduction made Issei confused as to why a boy had a girl name, but his introduction shocked Okashi, though he didn't show it on his face. "That's not a boy, that's Irina! Dammit, I thought I was smarter than Issei, how the hell did I fail to recognize who she is?! Nevermind, I might as well be nice to her, she'll be important to the story later on," he thought.
Okashi then introduced himself to her before the three children played. Issei asked her why she had a girl name as a boy, which made Irina and Okashi explain that Irina was a girl, and to Irina's dismay, and Okashi's humor, Issei ignored them. Eventually, it was time for the kids to go back home, but they all promised each other that they would meet at the playground to play once again.
As the three children grew older, their bond became much closer, to the point they became best friends. The brothers took Irina to their house to hang out from time to time, but they mostly had sleepovers at her house, as it was more spacious. The brothers didn't really complain about it, as Issei just liked having fun there, and Okashi wanted to see the Holy Sword that was there.
One day, while Okashi was training in his room, he decided to start focusing more on his [Elemental] magic so that he could use [Explosion] magic. Since Okashi had a high enough amount and control of mana, he was able to successfully create a small explosion in the middle of his hand. Ecstatic, he started creating little explosions in his hands, similar to what Bakugo did when he first got his quirk. While Okashi was having fun with his new magic, his mother yelled to him from the stairs, "Okashi, remember that you need to get your stuff ready for your sleepover at Irina's!" "Ok mom!" yelled Okashi. He quickly packed some things with him before going with Issei to Irina's house.
The boys greeted the Shidou parents with a hello before quickly going inside to play with Irina. The children did all sorts of things that day, playing tag, video games, as well as taking a picture together in front of the Holy Sword, with Irina in the middle smiling happily at the camera, Issei on the right with a big grin on his face, and Okashi on the left with a mischievous smirk and his hands in his pockets. Eventually, the children ate dinner, took their bathes, and went to sleep. However, as the brothers were sleeping, Irina quitely went over to Okashi and kissed him. "Good night Okashi. Sweet dreams," Irina said with a blush. She then went to sleep. Okashi, who was actually awake, let out a goofy smile and turned towards her. "Cheeky girl. Goodnight Irina," Okashi said as he closed his eyes and slept.
Welp, Okashi just met his future waifu for laifu! Similar to Issei after Raynare's betrayal, Okashi will be a little traumatized with girls for a while. However, he'll get over this much faster than Issei did, as he'll have proper support through this problem. Anyway, thanks for reading the story, and send power stones if possible!
