Shadow possession apocalypse system

Jared Night, 22 years old, and was both a lucky and unlucky young man. Jared had inherited 150 million dollars from the death of his parents when he was 8, but had become an orphan in the process. With a sickly physique, weak constitution, a shallow presence, and a submissive personality; Jared was charged into a hospital at a young age and forgotten about. When Jared had aged to a legal adult, he was unable to gain control of the remaining 95 million dollars as the doctors said he wasn't able to take care of himself without assistance. The next 4 years after becoming an adult was very lonely for the young man, as he was often left in a padded room when he wasn't drugged up with morphine. The only solace was the first person shooter games and Grand theft auto type games that only twisted his personality.

Signs of the apocalypse was evident with global warming, the increase of human related diseases, famine, natural disasters, increase of all other biological life, and now the Artificial Intelligence takeover. The takeover crippled technology, launched and detonated nukes, and sped the inevitable fate of destruction for humanity. The mass loss and collapse of life caused the fission of life essence into what would later be called the birth of Mana. It was later confirmed that 15 thousand years ago there was magic which is where our lore originated the ideas of magic, but a astronomer related to the fortune telling of fate had instigated a war which led the strongest magician to seal all Mana producing sources on the planet and launch them into the sun. The news was released when the computer self proclaimed himself the second Messiah to protect all life, not only humans. The event was called metastasis, the cancer of Mana, by infusion of new Mana sources into the world. As the influx of Mana levels increased, the akashic records of Earth was manifesting into reality.

95% of humans became zombies at 9am PST 1/1/2019, the change effected everyone on the planet at the same time. Everyone went unconscious for 30 seconds, the AI detonated nukes all around the world causing world wide amplifying EMP effects, many airplanes crashed, and facilities exploded. The AI gained experience and many akashic records for itself gaining a type of godhood. No longer would a second AI ever be allowed to be born if the air was filled with static to interfered with micro processors. The only place not on Earth, the international space station was not exempted from the metastasis, and had even received 10x the radiation; however the AI had the station crash into the Earth to kill the possible survivors.

Jared had been one of the unlucky who had a body that was receptive to the zombie genes. His body became a zombie while he was unconscious.

When Jared woke from his 30 second coma he received what looked like a message in his left eye, not knowing he was a wandering spirit and not feeling the physical body.

"Welcome host to the apocalypse as a sentient survivor. You have 30 seconds before all monsters start spawning. All sentient creatures who are still in a coma have failed the preliminary evolution and are monsters. Good luck." -AI Messiah

After another 30 seconds another message appeared in his right eye: "Welcome host to the apocalypse as a newborn monster. Your objective is to gain Akashic records. You can kill others to gain them." -AI Messiah
