Chapter 32

Daniel kept looking at Azazel waiting for him to organize his thoughts as he seemed to be shocked of something he didn't want to believe.

But Daniel decided to give him a hint to make his thoughts more organized because like this he wouldn't finish soon.

"Let me tell you something, I know that you sent your subordinates to investigate the whereabouts of the Grand Seraph, Gabriel, and you found her but that was through a very frightened subordinates of you who clearly told you something, right?" Daniel said while looking at Azazel with slightly narrowed eyes and a small smile on his face.

And Azazel who heard this felt like something clicked in his mind and remembered that the three subroutines that he sent to investigate Gabriel's whereabouts only two of them returned with a very frightened face and muttering words like 'He exploded' or 'Blood everywhere' and their mind seemed to collapse if not for the immediate intervention and helping them calm down with some healing magic. But it would take more time for them to return to normal.

That was very weird and made Azazel wonder what had happened to the other one who didn't return with them. As these thoughts ran through his mind he looked at the man sitting opposite to him, looking at him with calm expression.

And connecting what happened that day to his subordinates with this man, who he didn't know, sitting opposite to him, Azazel reached a conclusion.

"D-Don't tell me, you were the one who made my subordinates like this?"

"Took you long time to realize, and I came here today to talk about that. And don't even think of doing anything stupid, I could kill you without lifting a finger if I wanted to, so stay still, you filthy crow." Daniel said with a very cold voice that made Azazel feel like Death itself was sitting in front of him.

Horrible.

Madness.

Fear.

Three emotions filled Azazel's being as Daniel gave him a slight taste of his power. The old fallen angel didn't think that such a being existed in this world and he didn't hear about him.

No, such being is not allowed to even exist or the world won't be able to endure his power.

'Just where did he come from?! I didn't get any news about him or heard of him at all! The world, no, the whole three realms will be facing the danger of extinction if they try to mess with him.'

"Your thoughts are exposed through your face Azazel, although I expected you to be calmer."

"How can I be calm when a being of your caliber is sitting in front of me like that, you don't know how much of a threat you are to the three realms."

'He is not wrong since a Monarch is an existence that no one could stand against. Monarchs after all are in a league of their own. So ancient, so powerful. And I'm one of them.' Daniel thought but he was surprisingly calm. Usually when someone was to be faced with that would be nervous and started to be afraid of his power, like some anime protagonists, but Daniel, it made him more prideful and a lot calmer knowing that.

"Well, you are not wrong with that, but today I came here to tell you one thing and then leave. And it's up to you to listen to my words or not." Daniel said as he stood up and walked slowly toward Azazel and put his hand on his shoulder before looking down on his with glowing purple eyes.

Azazel didn't try to look up or in any direction, his face paled and felt like if he tried to take a look, his life is over.

"Don't try to look for my wife again or send your filthy subordinates to look for her or else I will send you to the afterlife. For a being who had fallen because he lusted after someone's else wife, you deserve more than death but your father is merciful to you you see. Be thankful. And remember, STAY AWAY." Daniel said these words coldly while emphasizing on the last two before darkness enveloped him and disappeared.

Azazel sighed as he felt the Presence in his room disappeared but then the same voice echoed again.

"If I saw a glimpse of you or a black feather around my home, then you are done." And the voice disappeared.

Azazel felt like he was running a marathon for several days while he was with Daniel in the same room.

Just his gaze made him feel his life flashing before his eyes.

"T-That was so close, I felt my life would over if I did a wrong move, but wait here, did he say Gabriel is his wife?!!!! That's impossible! No no no nooooo!!" Azazel screamed like a mad man who lost the love of his life to another man.

Well, that was quite right as Lily was Daniel's wife from the beginning. Before even Azazel lusted after her.

But remembering that darkness he glimpsed at for a moment, shivers ran down his spine and felt like going crazy or throwing up.

"Something like that is incomprehensible by the normal mind. If I just continued gazing at it, I think I would go crazy and kill myself or even worse." He muttered while shivering.

'Must tell my people as well to not go close to that mansion or else the faction is doomed.'

And while Azazel went to inform his subordinates and Cadres about Daniel and to stay away from his mansion and Gabriel, Daniel himself was walking through the streets of Shinjuku enjoying the view of the bustling city with his usual indifferent gaze.

He noticed that people kept giving him gazes that had some filled with lust and desire and others filled with jealousy and irritation.

Although he didn't feel anything receiving this kind of gazes, still anyone would feel uncomfortable being the center of attention, no?

And if not, then this is your problem, you attention seeker!

So Daniel decided to conceal himself with a layer of aura to make him look normal in front of people's eyes so to not attract any attention.

And once he did that, no one spent a second to give him a gaze, they all ignored him as if he was just a rock at the side of the road and that made Daniel sigh in comfortableness as he felt relaxed.

He walked and enjoyed the view of the tall buildings and skyscrapers, people going to work, cars and taxies on the road.

It somehow reminded him of his past world.

Truly, memories not to be forgotten.

Then noticing a restaurant, he decided to go inside and have a meal.

It was a fast food one by the way. Once inside, he was welcomed by a waitress.

"Welcome to your home, master~" The waitress said with a smile on her face that could make the customers feel welcomed and warm.

Daniel nodded at her before saying in a calm manner.

"Is there any empty table?"

"Of course, this way, master~"

She said as she led him to one of the empty tables, it was the one at the farthest place of the restaurant, it was also the most quiet place which was better in Daniel's opinion.

He sat there before the waitress took his order which was a simple Big Mac set with more fries and hot ketchup along the way. He liked the spicy food.

And while waiting for his order to arrive, he watched how things went and how customers were served.

They were served with a happy smile that made the customers smile as well and feel relaxed while placing their orders. And while waiting for their orders, they either chatted with their parents or partners if they came with one or they would play with their phones.

The atmosphere felt—

'Cozy, their smiles made the customers feel comfortable and welcomed beside their flexibility and quick work on delivering the orders gave them more positive points.'

'Now that I think about it, I didn't have a phone because if felt I didn't need it, after all I don't have many relationships in this world with many people to char or talk with but it could be used for something else like games and more. Another thing was that I didn't need to work to make money because I had everything, the mansion refill itself with all necessities I need every day.'

'I may start a company to spend some time cuz I don't have many things to do beside training at the moment. But which kind of company is the question here.'

Daniel talked with himself inwardly as he looked through the glass to watch the cars running on the roads. He didn't observe just watched until suddenly a cheerful voice of the waitress sounded beside him.

"Your order is here, master~"

"Thank you, young lady." Daniel said with a small smile as if he was an old man. But the truth was that he remembered his past life when he was in his 40s after his wife died with many years, he used to frequent a certain restaurant where a young waitress always took care of his orders. At that time, he couldn't taste his own food properly as it looked like a garbage in his mouth, so he started eating at that restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner as it somehow the food there had a slight flavor.

And every time she delivered his order, he would thank her the same way he did at the moment.

The waitress who heard this and looked at his smile—although he concealed his handsome face with his aura to look normal—blushed and became nervous before bowing slightly at him while saying with shaky voice.

"E-Enjoy your meal, M-Master." Then she ran away with flustered expression.

Daniel looked confused a little before remembering that he was in a new world not his previous one, but he just shrugged it off as it already happened.

Just imagine a young healthy man like Daniel saying 'Thanks, young lady' to a young woman who looks like a little younger than him if not at the same age.

It would look wired, no?

Anyway, Daniel began eating slowly, savoring the taste of the food and although it was your normal Big Mac, it felt familiar to him.

'Somehow it reminds me of the food I used to eat at that restaurant, and even that waitress from earlier, she reminds me of her. What a wired fate.' Daniel had a warm nostalgic smile as he ate while swimming in the sea of memories of his time in that restaurant from his previous world.

Although his life was dull and black and white, that restaurant made him feel slightly better and warm and cozy every time he went there.

Truly beautiful memories~

Time passed and he finished his meal before going to the counter and paid for the meal with a money had made with his power. He figured he could do it by chance and the money was real and could be used to trade with.

Then maybe he doesn't need a company now? We will see~

Once he got out, he decided to walk for a little before going back home. The sky was dark with sparkling stars and white bright moon, then along with the nighty wind, it was perfect for a night walk.

His walked aimlessly without any goal or destination in mind, just strolling and his feet ended with him in a park.

The park didn't have many people and was mostly empty, so he walked to a bench and sat there while admiring the night sky and its bright stars.

But then suddenly, a voice interrupted him.

"Hoo~ finally I found you, Handsome~"

Who this voice belongs to and what does it mean by that, will be known in the next chapter.
