Chapter 78: Walpurgis Banquet II [Part 3]

Finally, after over an hour of waiting, the person who proposed the banquet arrived. It was Claypot himself.

"Move faster, you retard!" Clayman yells as he suddenly hits Milim, "Too damn slow. Go and sit down right now."

Oh, how I want to kill him right now, and I can see I'm not the only one.

Even if Guy's expression didn't change on the outside, I know he is thinking the same.

"Slime, The Leader of the Jura Tempest Federation, Rimuru Tempest."

"This concludes the introductions."

Leaving his seat, Claypot glanced over all the Demon Lord while stopping at Roy for a bit longer. That reminded me to send some shadow soldiers into his shadow so they could protect him against Laplace.

He started his speech about how Carrion has helped Rimuru to proclaim himself as a Demon Lord, and according to him, that's why his army is in Tempest.

He also said that Rimuru manipulated the Kingdom of Farmus to attack the Great Jura Forest as an excuse to attack humans and that he defeated them with Carrion backing him up, and that's why Milim attacked Carrion's Kingdom.

While I know, and it wasn't hard for most people here to see that he is lying, still, even if that was true, so what? I did what he said when I awakened. Guy wiped out an entire race, and Milim killed hundreds and thousands of people in her rampage.

Now, putting all his acting skills to use, he looked heartbroken. "However, my subordinate Myuran, who reported me all this, has been murdered by that slime named Rimuru. That's why I've decided to avenge her."

Wow, I almost clapped at his acting skills. While Rimuru technically killed her, she isn't dead. I guess you don't die when you are killed.

He continued, "He, together with Carrion, tried to kill me. Myuran was able to inform me of it with her last bit of strength through [Magic Communication]."

Oh, that's so funny. I almost wanted to burst out laughing as I listened to his story.

Milim, wanting to protect Claypot, destroyed the Beast Kingdom Eurazania, killing Kairon in the process.

But Claypot scolded her later about how it was inappropriate without evidence. After the incident, Milim began admiring Claypot and asked for his help…

A donkey wouldn't even admire Claypot, let alone Milim...

"Now that everyone has learned about the story from start to finish, this Rimuru here is a despicable Majin and an idiot for daring to proclaim himself as a Demon Lord. It is best if we eliminate him..." Claypot said.

Now that he was done with his story. It was time for Rimuru to speak.

"Now then, allow me to explain to everyone," He said, standing up. "You are Clayman, right? I mean, you are just a big liar."

That's true...

"What?" Claypot looked offended.

"I'm going to be honest with you. I don't care whether or not I become a demon lord. The thing you said about Carion's instigation was all nonsense. And the Kingdom of Farmus attacked due to their greed. The two incidents have no connection whatsoever." Rimuru said.

Claypot sent him an annoyed glare, "Huh! Who would believe such excuses? My subordinate also got killed!"

"Is she called Myuran? I didn't kill her. She's still alive, you know? All of your claims have been mere hearsay and your personal deduction. It may work for more gullible people, but I won't buy it. Your witness, Myuran, is now under my protection. I won't allow you to do a thing to her, and your testimony has zero credibility."

"How despicable of you to do such a thing. You must have done something to Myuran's corpse and allowed an evil spirit to possess her!" He said, trying to deny Rimuru's claim.

'Are you sure we can't discuss the world threat now?' Guy asked me through [Thought Communication].

'As much as I would like to do it now, it's better to wait until the annoyance is away... Anyways. How bored do you think Milim is to go with this whole mind control act?' I asked.

'Do you even need an answer? You know how she is.'

'Sigh... I know...' I replied with a mental sigh.

'But what do you think about the slime?' He asked

'He is strong and possesses at least one Ultimate Skill. I would put his current strength around Leon and my mother.'

'So he has your vote?'

'I like the guy. He is interesting."

As I continued to chat with Guy, the whole thing between Claypot and Rimuru continued until he threw a chair at Claypot and ate the table with [Beelzebuth], the skill I copied by replacing Gluttony.

"Everyone, how can you tolerate such violent behavior from this guy?! He's even ignoring our authority. We should punish him together!" Claypot yelled.

Rimuru went to the center where the table used to be and addressed everyone, "I've mentioned before, I don't care whether I become demon lord or not. I just want to create a country. I need human help in that aspect, so I've decided to protect humans. If anyone dares to stop me, whether they be humans, demon lords, or the Saints Church, they are all my enemies. For instance, you, Clayman."

"WHAT!" Claypot shouted.

"As for violent behavior, you said, did you plan to attend the Walpurgis Banquet while trying to mind-control others?" Rimuru asked.

Wait, he tried to mind-control people? It must have been so weak I didn't even feel it...
