5 : Parallel

After that incident in the backyard with Serafall, Jinwoo is set to having dinner with the Sitris. 

" Ara~ So this man is our important guest, he is a handsome young fellow, isn't him darling? Nice to meet, you. "

" I've heard about both of you from Serafall, Lady Sitri and Lord Sitri. " Jinwoo nodding. 

" Hm... you have an amazing posture, i would have a hard time believing that you are a human if Serafall hadn't told me beforehand. " 

Lord Sitri is a middle aged stoic man with quite an amazing presence. In a glance, Jinwoo already knew that this old man was a veteran.

"Dar- ling, that's quite a rude thing to say! Now, now, forgive my husband, Jinwoo-san. Let's feast!! " 

' She's so cheerful, now i know where Serafall got that spirit in her from. ' He thought as he turn his gaze to the Satan itself. Their eyes met each other, before Serafall gave him a bright smile.

Jinwoo genuinely surprised that the food is normal. He maybe quite racist for that thought but he expecting some weird things being the food for the devil. But it's just like human foods, some steak, roasted chicken, salad, and a bunch of gourmet dish. 

" Jin-tan! "

" Hm? " 

" Aaaaaa~ " 

Serafall whom sat beside him is trying to feed him with some chicken. 

" What are you doing? " Jinwoo give her an indifferent stare.

" Feed you? Now, open your mouth Aaaa~ "

" Stop. "

Seeing those two interacting, Lady Sitri smiled.

" Ara~, aren't those two seems like enjoying themselves together. It's seems like Serafall has taking a liking on him. " She said, caressing her cheek.

" Well i don't know about Jinwoo-kun but Serafall definitely enjoy it. " Lord Sitri thought as he cutting the steak.

He then taking a slight glance at Jinwoo.

' Serafall isn't someone that interested to a man that easily, it's seems like something happened between them. Moreover, it maybe faint but i can definitely feel it. The darkness that even darker than the original Lucifer... '

After the dinner, Jinwoo continued to spent his mundane daily lives in Sitri's territory for another 2 days. After he is taking a look at the nearest devil city, he actually believed what Serafall said about how devil has changed from how they used to be.

But Jinwoo knew that it wasn't that simple.

' Evil is just a point of view after all. '

In his free time, which is almost his whole time here he spent to trying to get more understanding about his new energy. But it was actually harder than he thought, for now one thing that he could conclude about the Chaos Energy that it cannot be controlled the same way how mana is. 

Yesterday he is also get his first Shadow Army in this world. Even though to call it an army is funny, because it was just a bunch of ants that he needed to plant his shadow into the maids, and also Lord Sitri and Lady Sitri's shadow. Shadow Exchange is not a teleportation skill in its essence after all, it needed a catalyst for it to works in the first place.

It is underwhelming that the first creature he extort is ants but you need to start small to do something big. The ruler's messenger said that this world has a bunch of mythological beings, so it's just a matter of time.

And fast forward today is the day, Jinwoo is quite excited to actually witnessing a human society after a long time spending his time in the sea of chaos. 

" Are you sure that you are going to wear that? Aren't you the one who said that today is the day you are going to attend the parent's day in your sister's school? "

Jinwoo stared down Serafall up and down, she is wearing a cosplay to the school. Another magical girl cosplay, except today is the pink one.

" Noww, this is not just a cosplay! This is magical girl milky spiral seven alternative cosplay! You with your boring outfit doesn't have a right to judge my outfit"

Jinwoo raised his eyebrows, he never really put any thought on his clothes before. His wife is the one who take care of his outfit almost every time.

" Yeah whatever, let's just get going. " 

" Let's go!! " 

Serafall suddenly linked her hands with Jinwoo's, it makes him wrinkling his eyebrows. 

" For the teleportation spell to work, we need to holding hands! "

' So the way it works is actually the same as Shadow Exchange, except that the teleportation magic doesn't need any medium at all. Serafall said that travelling between world is considered illegal except for the Satans and the Seraph, talking about double standards. ' 

Magic circle is circling from the ground all the way up to their head, it seems like magic in this world is manifested through magic circles and to an assassin like him, that is such a fatal weakness. 

" Now, prepare for the turbulance. "

Somewhere in the rooftop of a certain school in Kuoh town. A magic circle is appeared out of nothing. 

" We arrived! " Serafall raising her wand as she then looking at Jinwoo. " How about your first time teleporting, is it nauseating? "

To her surprise, Jinwoo doesn't look affected. His expression changed but it wasn't nausea, he is just staring at the horizon with blank eyes. 

" Jin-tan, is there something wrong? "

" Um, no. I just had a few things on my mind. But Serafall, i don't understand." He didn't turn his gaze away.

" What do you mean? "

" Why are you guys devils, interrupting this peace? What are you guys doing at the human world in the first place? What is peerage system actually made for? Is pretending to be human one of your devil kin hobby? So much questions i have in mind that i actually think that your intent for peace between race earlier is just a bluff. So tell me, what are you guys doing in the human world. "

Serafall felt like she is staring at the abyss as Jinwoo turn his gaze to her. 

To Jinwoo, this situation is to familiar. Fantasy creatures and portal disrupting human's peace, monstrous supranatural being hiding between humans. The parallel between both worlds is so eerie.

" Jin-tan, it's not a new thing that supranatural beings disrupted with human world. In fact, the very reason why human exist in the first place is because of the said supranatural beings. It has exist since the dawn of humanity, the gods from olympus, devas from the mount meru, nordic's world tree, to the biblical faction. Not to mention countless other factions that is concealed themselves to the human world. In the end, everyone is deserved to live in this world. "

Serafall explained with care, one thing she didn't want say things that could potentially make Jinwoo angry. But another thing is that he need to clear Jinwoo's perspective on the geopolitical situation in the world right now. 

" I want to have peace too, Jin-tan. I truly hope that in the future, there is no need for the bloodshed to happen again because that what me and other Satans fighting for in this new era, you can have my word. " Serafall said with a beautiful smile on her face.

' She seems talking the truth, maybe i am become too paranoid. Am i still being haunted by the past? ' Jinwoo contemplating with indifferent look in his eyes and it didn't escape from Serafall's super perceptive intuition.

" Let's go, i will introduced you to my sister. "

In the midst of students and their families, there is a lone young girl standing at the second floor alleyway. Black hair, thin stature, and those magnifying eyes is staring at the commotion from the back of her glass.

Today is definitely not the best day for Sona, seeing that everyone's parents is actually showed up for their children is something that makes her quite a bit jealous.

She knew that her parents is busy taking care their businesses in the underworld but even Rias's father and brother is coming so that's not an excuse. And even if she hate her sister for always teasing her whenever they met, but deep down inside her heart she want her to come and be with her.

' No, i have a duty as a student council president that i must fulfill. I can't be slacking out like this... ' 

Pushing her glasses bridge, she prepared to leave.

" Hey, hey, i heard there is a magical girl in the school right now! "

" For real! Yo wait for me. "

There is huge commotion of students running through the alleyway. 

' Magical girl? ' Sona confused for a second before widened her eyes.

' Don't tell me... '

She run to the commotion, hoping that her little wish would come true.

And as she looking at the girl in the center of attention of everyone, a slight smile appeared on her face.

And when Serafall sees her sister from afar, her expression lightened.

" So-Tan!! Your beloved sister is here! "

Jinwoo who is standing beside her can't help but smiling. This reminds him of the old days when he attending the parents day for his sister. It seems that the thing he share the most with Serafall is the love for their sister.

Sona who heard her sister calling her with some weird names is flustered. And the worse thing is that she called her that in front of everyone.

" So-tan? "

" Is that Sona-sama? "

" Does that mean she is president's sister? "

" Kyaaa so cute~ "

Sona is blushing hard. Her face is as red as cherry. Feeling embarassed and hating her 1 minutes ago self for hoping that his sister would show up. A Satan is a satan in the end.

She then running away to the opposite direction of Serafall, making her confused.

" Uhmm~ Am i saying something wrong, Jin-tan? " Sona looked at Jinwoo, as she saw those two purplish eyes mocking her.

" Contemplate, Serafall. That's your duty as an older siblings. " 

" What does that supposed to mean? Well, i'm going to find her, let's go. " 

Serafall want to take Jinwoo's hand but he refused.

" You should met her by yourself, i don't want to be in the middle of siblings conversation. Moreover, it's been a long time since i had been to the human world, i want to take a look. " 

Serafall thoughtful eyes met with Jinwoo for a couple seconds before she smile and take her leave, followed by the crowd of students leaving Jinwoo alone standing in the alleyway.

' Now that i've alone, let's catch this rat. ' 

He then looked at the window before walking outside. Everyone is inside the school building right now, so there is no one in the school's backyard forest.

But to Jinwoo, there is not entirely right as he walking casually in the school little forest. Hand on his pocket, he then finally opened his mouth.

" I feel like you should just showed up already since i can definitely sense your devil's smell. " 

" Hoo, you are quite amazing. Even the Satan Leviathan couldn't sense my concealed presence earlier. Initally i don't know who are you being lovey dovey with her, but now i know you are not some random dude. "

Jinwoo is indifferent, a man then appeared out of a thin air. A handsome young man with light silver hair and hazel eyes, his fashion sense is quite eccentric, green V-neck with shirt with a high-collared black leather jacket over it. 

' Definitely not my style. ' Jinwoo thought. 

" I happened to be able to sense if there is a rat watching from the shadows. And you have quite an amazing presence for a little kid. " Jinwoo said calmly, mocking the man's height. 

His height is only around 168 cm, compared to Jinwoo's he definitely looks like some highschool boys.

" Kuh, quite a harsh way to address someone you've just met. "

" So, who are you and what is your purpose for peeping Serafall? "

The man then make such a weird gesture as he then smiling.

"Vali Lucifer, nice too meet you old man."
