My Disciple

The deputy chief stopped the chief from his advance as he held his hand and stood up from his seat, the chief turn back and look straight into his eyes.

"Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but why do you say Sifeng will be a personal disciple of yours without informing the elders and I, to know if we'll agree or not."

The deputy chief said with a slight bow of his head and move back a little.

"Do you guys have anything against my decision?"

The sect leader asked, facing the elders, none of them spoke for a while, but then an older man with full white hair stood up.

"Although I hate to admit it, but I agree with Sen on this one, we all see what the boy can do on the battlefield and it would be really helpful for him to be a direct disciple of one of the elders, you or the deputy, but you didn't even inform us before claiming him as your disciple. Although we have no problem of him being your disciple as it will help him grow faster and be a great boom to us, but you should've inform us."

The old man said.

"So? Do any of you guys wish to take him as your disciple?"

The sect leader asked, still staring at the elders.

"No we can't take him, but won't it be nice and fair if I take the other kid as a disciple of mine?"

The deputy said, pointing at Yan with a smile on his face. The elders nodded to his request.

"Fine then, you can do what you want."

The chief said as he was about to walk off again, but was called back.

"Wait, we agree that these two kids be a direct disciples of you two, but we need to measure your progress with their training, how about we send the two to the Bre forest in a week's time, to see how far they have both grown."

One of the elders said, making the sect leader turn back.

"Hey, a week is too little of a time to send them into the midst of Stalker Beast, they have little...."

"No that's fine, these kids can handle themselves and since they'll be going together, it should be okay."

The deputy interrupted him, the chief stare at him for a few seconds with dangerous flame burning in the depth of his eyes, the handsome man met his intense gaze with the usual calm expression on his face. His hand fan held in his hand as he moves it up and down, after a few more seconds, the chief step back and turn around.

"Fine, Sifeng, change your dress and follow me."

He said as he started walking off.

The deputy has a smile on his face as his gaze moves around the disciples.

'I knew this would happen, I just hope you'll be some help.'

His gaze landed on Yan.

---

Some minutes later, Sifeng found himself sitting on a eye level with the sect leader, one of the most powerful people in this world, he doesn't know what to feel or think, they're currently in the sect leader personal training room which its wall was designed with different golden symbols, there are weapons all hung around the wall and different training equipment at the back of the room.

Sifeng spent his precious time taken in the heavenly design on the wall, they look like different ancient drawings but as someone who's an art prodigy, he knew the designs are not mere artworks, they're different intricate characters and symbols of the basic spells used to create something more advance. He wonder the type of spells those symbols are used for.

He hadn't had much time to continue his study in the concepts of basic spells, but with the little knowledge he had, he knew these are not normal drawings.

"Don't be mesmerized by those, they're some advance spells I created."

The sect leader's voice brought him back to reality.

Now he remembered that the sect leader is right here with him in the room, first he had to get some things clear. The sect leader have taken him as his disciples, means Sifeng would be training alone under the sect leader's supervision, that's a great achievement on itself, not only will he be able to grow faster and understand many things in a short period of time, but he would also be proud outside and among other disciples that his teacher is the sect leader, one of the strongest people in this world.

The mention of the 'sect leader' alone will scare some people away from getting close to him.

But that's where the problem comes in.

Although, other disciples might not want to harm him in the Academy in fear that the sect leader might get mad for hurting his disciples, but that doesn't mean they won't get to him outside the chief's sight. That's not even the main problem for Sifeng, he can still manage to deal with some of the disciples as long as the sect leader continue to tutor him, but that's not the same for the elders.

He could see the look on the deputy's face and some of of the elders, he could describe some of the elder's expression as that of a jealousy and hatred which was all directed at the sect leader, everyone had seen what Sifeng could do, so they wants to get him under their command and use him, but the chief had outsmart them by getting him before them, they can't do anything for the sect leader which means their anger will be directed at him.

It's just his first day in the Academy and he had noticed some kind of pressure among the elders and the leader, he could see that each of the elders have a few disciples that follow them around, including the deputy, he also had two men who stood by his side every time, only the chief seems to have nobody around him, so Sifeng could only guess that there's an imbalance of power of some sort among them and getting stronger disciples to work for each of them might shift the balance.

They might target him just to weaken the chief's force.

'These people, and they claim other Sects are getting stronger by the day, there's no even the tiniest unity among you guys, how the hell did you guys manage to rule this world for thirty years.'

Although, it's just a patch up guess that he had about the elders, he's not sure if it's correct or not, he's not that smart to figure out what's going on among them in a matter of a day, but the look the elders gave him when the chief claimed him as his disciple, it says otherwise.

But at least, he knew the type of look the elders gave him which gave him a hint of their impression on him, but it's different from the deputy, he couldn't understand the expression of the handsome man. At times when he look at him, his look will be that of admiration, astonishment, hatred and killing intent towards him. He just couldn't understand that man.

'And that might be a great problem, I just hope everything I'm thinking is wrong, I don't want to make an enemy of the elders.'

It's just like Kim had said, getting special treatment has it's own advantage and disadvantages, he just hope the sect leader is powerful enough to stop them.

And talking of the sect leader, the man sat on the floor with his leg crossed and gesture for him to do the same.

"I assume you can perform a few basic spells by now."

The sect leader said with golden energy swelling around his finger as he writes something mid air.

Sifeng look at him with wide eyes and his mouth left wide opened.

'What?'
