We will meet again

He could no longer see her through the trees as he leisurely walked towards the village. He had explored mostly around the south and west area of the village where the forest was, while the north and east were both roads that went to different cities.

He planned to explore the forested areas around there since those were the last places a field boss might be.

Of course he may be completely wrong and they don't have one, but there were always hidden gems early in the game and players had to take big risks to get them.

"Please wait!" He heard a distant voice. But pretended not to notice it.

"Please wait! Give me a chance!" The voice was getting louder so Jax picked up his pace, eventually going into a run.

"Don't start running from me KENNYYYYY! I only want to talk to you! That's all I ask!"

Succie pleaded again, but it wasn't her usual crybaby tone. It seemed more serious and genuine so he gave her the benefit of his doubts and stopped.

He sighed, "what is it?" she stopped in front of him out of breath with her hands resting on her knees.

Between breaths, she said, "I'd like us to stay as a party but I can't promise you that I can contain myself."

'That's obvious.' Jax raised an eyebrow at her statement.

"If you just came to state the obvious I'll be leaving now." He turned around but Succie grabbed his hand.

She looked straight into his eyes with confidence. He was a bit surprised as she never seemed very serious about this game or anything she talked about. It was all jokes and teasing and he didn't need that right now.

'Has she changed already?' Usually it takes way longer for someone to go through a personality change like this, but maybe it was just a "heat of the moment" thing.

"I know it's obvious but I'd like you to also look at it from my perspective." She was determined to keep him here and get him to listen, even if he would come to hate her.

She needed to say this not only for their party's sake, but for her own as well.

"As you know I can't control this title and succubus class well. I've gotten into a lot of trouble with it so far and I will probably continue to in the future. However I think you are the right person to help me. Even though I don't remember much from earlier, I do know that you were talking to me, directing me, to try and help me understand my power.

"I ask that you give me a chance to prove my worth. I can see that you have ambitions in this game and I don't want to hold you back, but I want to stand by your side if possible.

"I also haven't been completely honest with you… I think.. t-think you're h-hot. A-and I find you really attractive! So p-please let me prove myself as your teammate and as a w-woman!"

Succie poured her heart out into that speech and fumbled her words and blushed by the end of it.

She kept her eyes shut preparing for the worst but she stood up tall, proud of having spoke her mind.

Jax sighed, 'she must have a lot going on at home.' As he had been through a similar phase in his life when his father passed, he could sympathize with having a rough childhood.

He rubbed his face and pulled his cheeks down as he groaned. Succie opened a eye to see what he was doing and he looked frustrated as he stomped around huffing and puffing.

'Did I make him mad?' Succie was sure she pissed him off and her heart broke. Although they had met only a little while ago, she had fallen for him.

Even if it was influenced by her stats, or from the fact that she was now alone and might latch on to the first living thing to show her compassion, she didn't care.

She didn't think those feelings were superficial. She wanted to get to know him more, and find out his hopes and dreams. His ambitions in this game, and become someone who was worthy to stand by him.

Although she wasn't the brightest, she could recognize talent, as her father was someone who looked for talent every day, so she learned from him.

Jax was also very much her type. Tall, handsome, stoic man who could easily dominate her in bed. She was a hardcore sub and always looked forward to him telling her to do something.

Of course, her title and race heightened those feelings too much, to the point where it annoyed him, but she wanted to control those raging feelings so she could get closer to him.

"AHHHHHH!"

Succie heard him scream and jumped in fright waiting to get killed. Instead, she saw him staring up at the sky with a frustrated look on his face.

Eventually, he rubbed his face with his hands and sighed, 'I'm going to regret this aren't I?'

"Jax, you can call me that since KENNYYYYY was just a joke name. I don't need you yelling KENNYYYYY every time you talk to me."

To Succie, her entire world turned more vibrant and she felt like the main heroine from a romance anime who just got confessed to by their crush. One could see flower petals dancing with the wind as it blew through her hair.

Meanwhile, Jax was cursing himself. He was fighting hard with himself over partying with her but caved in the end. He wasn't happy about the decision either, but her sincerity and determination to change won her a second chance.

Before Succie could celebrate, Jax added more terms, "If we are gonna be a party, you can't be goofing off like you always do. I don't want you crying or flirting with me. You can't tease or touch me inappropriately and if you keep getting turned on by my every word like you are now, I will kick you out."

Succie's heart eyes had been pulsing and Jax could smell her pheromones again. Succie came back to reality and calmed herself down. She didn't want to mess up before even starting.

"You should pay attention to my words, make sure to do what I ask you. If you can't do these things, and I think that you are pushing boundaries too much, I will kill you.

"Should you choose to keep following me and continue to behave poorly, I will keep killing you until the point that you will be right back where you started without friends."

His words were harsh, especially the last ones but he didn't apologize for any of it. If she wanted to follow him, she needed to be a player like him and her current behavior wouldn't cut it.

"I'll do it. I promise to do my best to be a better player and companion to you." Succie didn't hesitate in agreeing. Even though it might be on par with a slave contract, she didn't care.

Sometimes people did crazy things for love.

"Also I won't acknowledge your feelings, I don't have time for shit like that."

That was probably the hardest pill to swallow, but she pulled up her big girl pants and took it like a champ.

"Then I will wait for you. I'll prove to you that I'm worthy to stand by you." Simple words, but they packed a lot of meaning. Jax couldn't help but chuckle.

"You must've hit your head at some point during the battle. You've never once cared to challenge me before." Jax spoke his thoughts but he liked this change in attitude. He didn't know if it would stay that way but that was up to Succie.

"Now that your feelings are out in the open, I will see you later." Jax turned around again and began leaving.

"What?! I poured my heart and soul out to you and you're still leaving me!!" Succie was heartbroken and ready to break down crying. Was he messing with her?

"Relax, I have things to do and I don't need you following me for it. Plus don't you think you should get to level 10 for the second time? Also, try to choose a class that fits your fighting style better, IF you get to choose again. You suck at tank."

Jax teased her, earning a glare and pout from her but she quickly smiled. She was glad their typical banter wasn't leaving so soon so she called out to him, "Adrianna! My names Adrianna!"

She waved at him but he showed no reply. The cold indifference he showed a lot of times only encouraged her more to make him fall for her. She wanted to be the one to melt that heart of ice.

Once he was out of sight, she quickly dropped to her knees shaking. She began panting and a puddle quickly formed beneath her.

"Jax, Jax, Jax, Jax…." She began mumbling his name over and over as she turned into her succubus form. She fought hard to keep her succubus instincts in check while she talked to Jax. It was well worth it in the end, but now it all came flooding out like a dam broke.

She gently put a hand on her crotch causing her to moan loudly and send a wave of pink mist into the surroundings.

Without a second thought, she quickly logged herself out as she had "business" to attend to.

"AHHHHH~"

Jax heard her moan from the distance and later felt a wave of mist hit his back. He sighed, "I take back what I said, we can't be a party."

He groaned as he decided to pick up the pace and search for a field boss.

The band got back together.... unfortunately
