Truth or dare...

Truth isn't what you hear or see, It's all about one's instinct.....

And Dare is believing on those baseless instincts and following our heart to move forward.....

_________

"Hurry! Come over here, snap off the door. Someone seems to be locked in."

"Wait, Isn't it Emmie? Why is she lying here in the washroom? How did she get locked in here?

"Oh my! Did she pass out ?

"Hurry up! Carry her to the inflammatory."

The teachers were all in a panic.

The school was in a complete mess..

But to students it was just another fuss to add in their gossips, another uproar which was soon going to be the origin of a bunch of more stupid rumours....

"Was she really the one behind Yena? What if she is also a victim?

"So, does that mean, the one behind it is still at large. What if we are next?"

"I can feel the presence of otherworldly being here. Do you guys remember the incidents of the past?"

" I do, there were so many creepy stories our seniors told us about this second floor. "

"Oh heavens ! It's so scary, I am already sweating "

" Huh ! You girls are really so meek and dumb. Don't you get it ? It was all part of her plan. She just did so to clear her nose and stop the suspicion."

"I think you are partially right. She must have done it to look pitiful and gain attention. But

as for pushing someone down the floor, it doesn't seem like her. After all she is just a coward." Arnel stated as he joined their gossips.

"What a load of shit! Don't you feel bad saying that for your cousin? Right now she is laying unconscious and hurt. But, rather than caring for her and being by her side you are here accusing her. Don't you think you went over the board today? "

It was the first time Zephyr spoke to him in three years.

They used to be quite good friends back then....

Arnel was too stunned to speak. However those words did strike his heart and built a sense of guilt.

He was clearly annoyed but didn't utter a word and hurried to check upon Emmie.

By that time she had already come round but something was off.

The doctor explained that she might be traumatized that's why she refused to speak.

It was the first time Arnel cared for her as an elder brother.

She refused to call back at home in case her parents would worry.

Teachers dropped the investigation for the time being.

Back at home Emmie pretended all normal, so Arnel also just played along.

The next day Emmie was called to the office to explain things.

But before she could begin, she was backstabbed by her seemingly close friend Sana.

"I saw it all. It was her. She pushed Yena and then hid in the washroom. It was all just an act."

She handed over some pics as she went on

" This is the evidence. My phone died so I couldn't testify yesterday."

The photos were indeed of her.

"Do you have anything to say now? "

Principal tossed the pics at her furiously.

"Huf...! Will you even believe me if I said I didn't do it? Are you that impatient?

You don't even want to wait for Yena to gain consciousness and explain.

Oh! I know you just need a scapegoat to save the school's image."

Emmie yelled with tears dropping off her eyes.

"How dare you talk to me like that. Isn't it enough to explain your deeds."

"Fine....I will say, Yes I did it all !

Are you happy? But does it explain anything? Does it ...

A long hand came from behind and covered her mouth before she could complete her words.

"I just need three days. I will prove her innocence and find out the one behind it."

A warm yet firm voice echoed in the room.

Emmie flurriedly turned back to identify her saviour. Her heart skipped a beat and she couldn't take her eyes off at the moment.

Shockingly, It was Zephyr who had helped her.

"Count me in" Arnel added and they took her out of the office.

Everyone was in an awe at this view. Some even filmed it.

Zephyr offered her some water to calm down.

Meanwhile, Arnel applied for her half day and sent her back home.

At night, while gazing at the stars as usual she pondered.

"Isn't it ironic, the one I trusted is digging a pit for me while my foes are filling it. And those, whom I never expected to help me are the ones standing with me in this uphill battle."

"Can we really do it ?"

"Aren't three days too short ?"

These were the only thoughts spinning round in their heads.
