Day 1: Aliferos Assemble....

For being able to solve any quest, it is extremely hard to build up a strong team....

And finding trustworthy, caring and friendly teammates is even harder...

Next morning, at school, Emmie was greeted with an unusual yet suffocating gaze which surrounded her from every possible direction.

This gave her chills all over her body.

All the girls were looking at her with envy and disgust, and why wouldn't one be jealous at the site of an almost unknown face being accompanied by the two most personable toppers of their school.

"Huh.. What a gold digger she is."

"Isn't she ashamed? First she hurt her best friend, and now to clear her nose she is dragging the innocents into her mess."

"Shameless! She clearly doesn't know her place."

"How can someone be as vicious as her! She must have used the honey trap to bewitch Zephyr and act vulnerable to gain Arnel's trust."

"What a brown noser."

"Does this little punk really think that she is pretty? Zephyr will never fall for someone like her."

"Well... I think it's better to stay away from her, who knows what this psycho will do next."

There was a river of criticism flowing along with evil laughs, as she walked past the main gate of the school.

Emmie tried to the best of her limits to pay no heed to their shit. But, now they had crossed the line.

She calmly went over those girls and started sniffing around them.

"Oh.. I get it now. I was wondering where in the world was this burning odour coming from. Seeing you all fuming here, I guess it explains everything."

She just moved carelessly towards the corridor after saying it.

Everyone was in awe at this scene. Those girls themselves were so lost to say anything. While some admired how cool she looked just now.

They all had changed their colours faster than the chameleon.

"She didn't even get worked by their awful comments or had any lines on her brow."

"Did you look the way she was too calm yet cold while speaking."

"Oh my.... Look at the way she walks, it's so mesmerizing."

"Why haven't I noticed it before, that our school has such an eye shattering beauty?"

She had always kept a low profile for the past years, so, no one had really even cared about her presence in school.

But now, that she was in the limelight, her drop down beauty which was always hidden in the darkness behind the bars of ignorance was now the new hot topic of the school.

'The school seemed like a huge palace, the corridor like a royal carpet, and finally the class appeared to be a ball room where a princess with a jaw dropping beauty whose looks were enough to bring down an empire, had set foot in with her two dashing knights, while the guests(her schoolmates) were gazing at her with hungry faces, waiting just to invite her for a dance.'

Alas! The dreamy view suddenly collapsed as the bell for the first period rang.

Everyone rushed back to their classes at the drop of the hat.

But, Emmie, Arnel and Zephyr had bunked the class to continue their pursuit.

They all gathered at the rooftop to have their first official meeting. Though, Arnel and Zephyr didn't see eye to eye on any matter, they tried their best to stay rational this time.

"Since this is our first meeting let's come up with our team name first. How about 'The Light Bearers'? Doesn't it sound cool? It makes us sound like the protectors of justice. Doesn't it?"

Emmie spoke with a faint smile to reduce the tension in the air.

"Are you dumb? What a stupid name it is? It doesn't make us sound cool, rather it makes us sound like a group of selfless elderly people." Arnel barked.

"How dare you yell at me? You, brainless creature. Why don't you come with a better name then?" Emmie screamed.

"Oh yes...why not. I am sure I can find a better name.

Umm...

Ya, I know, Let's call us "The Teenvengers".

Arnel proudly smirked.

"Ah!!! What was I even expecting. It's the worst name I have ever heard." Emmie wailed.

Zephyr was perplexed. They were fighting like first grade kids. He didn't know whether to interrupt them or not.

He finally mustered up his courage and spoke "Can you both stop bickering already? Is the team name even important right now? The clock is ticking and we don't even have a clue. How are we going to catch the culprit?"

Emmie and Arnel immediately stopped and stood straight like a log.

Just as they were about to begin their discussion a loud, firm voice chipped in

" You brat ! I was away just for a few days and yet you have caused so much trouble. Given your ability, I would be seeing the ruins of the school if I came any later!!"

It was her Basketball coach, Xavier. He was a young handsome man in his mid-twenties.

Emmie was delighted. She ran and hugged him tightly. She knew he really didn't mean what he said. He was just teasing her. He had always treated her as his real little sister.

"Don't worry I have your back. You can always count on me" he said in a warm tone.

"Hey guys! Don't you dare forget about me." Flora said while catching her breath.

She was Emmie's seat partner.

Emmie was almost in tears at this site.

For the first time, she was not all alone. She was surrounded by people who genuinely cared for her.

She screamed happily while wiping her tears.

" Then let's call us 'The Aliferos'. What do you all think?"

Everyone was greatly satisfied with the name.

"So, now that we are done with all the formalities, should we get back to the point."

Zephyr said jokingly.

Everyone laughed along, nodding their heads.

"Aliferos Assemble!!!" Emmie shouted proudly before starting their discussion.

Now, the quest had finally begun. They were completely unaware of the challenges they were going to face soon.

Was everyone as trustworthy and caring as they appeared to be?

This was yet to be known.
