WHAT HAVE I GOT MYSELF INTO?

Dominic had parked the car at the entrance of the cemetery. The area was too bushy and the trees were scattered all over the place. You could mistake it for a planted forest. 

The gravestones were hardly seen, but a look closer to the place and you would see most of the gravestones had fallen probably due to bad weather or because they were old. In some areas, some holes looked like empty graveyards. 

Dominic wanted to try and check for a good entry point but he didn't find any, wondering at the outskirts of the cemetery it was hard to locate a good place to enter into the place.

'How do people survive in here?' He asked himself as he took out his phone to call Martin. 

He was suddenly interrupted by Jake's voice but he couldn't locate where the voice was coming from. 

He ignited the car and left the engine running as he walked nearby to locate the sound.

"Dominic, Dominic," Jake called again, he was trying to walk past the tall grass that was reaching his waist. He was barefooted so he couldn't walk fast in fear of being harmed by anything that was below or was on the ground.

He wasn't sure where the entry was, as the direction that Martin had given them was just a secret way out but it didn't let them out of the cemetery. 

He tried to look back but he couldn't see the way they had taken it, all he could focus on was looking forward as he took one step at a time.

"Dee, please, I need you to try your best and breath, just breath for me baby okay?" He whispered to her as he passed the tree before coming across the fence. 

He called Dominic's name again, and he heard him calling his name back. 

Following his voice, he walked and saw an entrance, though the fence was wired, he decided to carefully place Dee through the other side and then he crossed before carrying Dee again and walking towards Dominic's voice.

"What the fuck, what happened to her?" Shouted Dominic when hos eyes landed on Diana's body.

"Please, can we rush her to the penthouse first then I wi explain everything to you?" Begged Jake as he walked past him to the car. 

He settled Dee in the car and Dominic took the steering wheel and got them out of the place.

Jake was busy looking at Dee's body, he examined his stomach that was not healed and luckily for her it was still okay, but his hands and legs were bleeding, he decided to puck the extra shirt that Is usually placed in the car and toed it on her leg and hands to prevent more bleeding. 

Checking for his phone, he realized that they had switched it off and dropped it inside his pocket, he wanted to open it but he threw it through the window, borrowing Dominic's phone.

He called doctor Viraj and ask him to meet him at the penthouse. Jake was trying to avoid the hospital because he felt like all this will bring suspicion among other people and some social media will just be throwing words anyhow anything that he doesn't want, plus Dee doesn't need to get her name tainted on social media. 

When they arrived at the penthouse, they found the guards aligned at the entrance of the hotel, but Jake was not ready for any respect right now, he ordered Dominic to get them through the back door, after the packing, he grabbed Dee gently and he used the elevator which was quick and convenient.

Luckily Dr Viraj was there and had arranged everything, he wanted to take Dee from Hale's hand but Jake refused and he carried him to the bed, laying her down carefully and removing her clothes by himself and dressed her in the gown that Viraj and neatly placed beside the bed.

After he was satisfied that everything was okay, he walked and stood by the door pacing up and down. He wanted the Dr to make sure that she is awake but he knew that it will take hours for Dee to wake up and look at him. 

Dominic walked up to him and saw his worried look. This is the second time he is seeing this look on his face. The first time when was when Dee was assaulted and now today when Dee was hurt do bad. He wanted to joke but he jew he was not going to one about this. 

All he wanted was to know what happened after he flagged the taxi that took him to know where. 

"Jake," he called him, Jake was fixed in a trance looking at nowhere and he had to bring him back before he starts any conversation with him. 

Jake was still deep in his thought and Dominic one that he needed to be hit or else he won't come out of this. 

He walked over and handed him a bottle of water before leading him to the sofa though he was adamant to go there. He insisted on standing on ten doors to wait to See wakes up but Dominic had to take some sense into his head.

"Are you listening to yourself, I know you were once a doctor and you know it takes time for a patient to wake up, so please sit down, " reasoned Dominic and he led him to the sofa.

"Do you know Dorcas was behind all this?" He said with anger filled tone as he looked at Dominic. 

Dominic intern was shocked. He had been told that Dorcas left the mansion but they didn't care where the had done to become she didn't ask for security or to be driven to a mall. 

"Trust me, I didn't expect anything more from her," said Dominic in I'm pleased tone.

Jake looked at him, he knew he had seen Dorcas's behaviour and he was not interested in her. 

Clearing his voice, he looked at his laptop that was on the table he quickly rushed to it and decide to google something. Dominic was surprised by what he was doing. He is a business person maybe he was looking through his business but then again for his business he has a specific laptop, not the one can't he was looking at.

Walking towards him, he saw what he was looking at, "human sacrifice?" 

Jake looked at Dominic who was now shouting and heaving on beside him.

"Yeah, this is what they are involved in, sacrificing people and Dee was the victim today, so I was trying to look and see if they have a name but I can't see any name!" Scoured Jake as he closed the laptop with a bang and pushed it away. 

"Can you explain to me what happened Jake, backer you can't just sit down and tell me that they wanted to offer Dee as a human sacrifice and then you guys just escaped because you paid someone one million and everything was okay," said Dominic as he picked a stool and joined him.

"You know, that guy asked Dee to ask her father if he is her real dad?" Started Jake as he looked at Jake.

"What do you mean her real dad?" Asked Dominic. 

Jake had to replay all incidents by word of mouth to him. How Dorcas made him hard and rode on his dick like there was no tomorrow and about Martin.

Dominic, we focused this time as he listened to what his boss was saying. 

"What did you mean, she made you hard?" Asked Dominic while laughing at him.

"I am not lying, it was like a dream and Dee confirmed about it when I woke up," said Jake.

"Wait, he did that and made her watch?" Asked Dominic in a shocked voice. 

Jake just shook his head as he saw Dominic laugh at him. He was also shocked by those events. 

"You have just made that little girl have a trauma of her life," said Dominic.

Name knew that was going to last in Dee's mind for the rest of her life and there is no way he can reverse it. 

Though that didn't eat his mind, what are his mind was the little cult that people had going here on the wood creek where children are being sacrificed for peace and wealth? 

"Make sure you save Martin's number, he is the person I going to get the information from," said Jake as he looked at Dominic.

"I think we should spy on him because we don't know what might happen next, next time you won't be there to save dee, he won't be there to give you a secret passage, so I am going to monitor his number then I will inform inspector Daiz and make sure the proper measures are taken," explained Dominic.

Jake agreed with him because if he had done that to Dorcas, they won't be here and Diana would be joining her classmates to begin their classes on Monday.

"Any other information you want us to work on?" Asked Dominic as he stood up. He knew the doctor is almost finished and he wanted Jake to have all the time to look at Dee.

"I need more information about the people of Wood Creek, look for people who have studied around the area, investigate them and information will be useful. I don't want to hand anyone to the police without enough evidence, don't investigate Fern and Edith," said Jake.

Dominic nodded am walked out of the room. 

Jake decided to bathe before looking at Dee. In the bathroom, he was still debating with the words that Martin had said. About people being jealous because of Dee. He worried about Dee.

When she was almost raped, he knew it was just a normal rape case, but now, he doesn't believe that was a normal rape case. The death of Kim and his grandmother and now Dee. He tried to reason with himself. Although he is trying everything under the same tree, he doesn't know where the roots are and where the branches are. 

"What have I got myself into? Who are you, Dee? Why is everyone jealousy of you? What is it about Dorcas inauguration?"
