"Why would we come here, I thought the other restaurants are also good Fern, is there something else you want to tell me about this restaurant? I am having a big and difficult day today so I would appreciate it if you had just picked something else apart from this place."

Jake and Fern had made up after Fern promised to be obedient and do everything as instructed. He begged Jake for forgiveness and Jake didn't think twice when she slid her legs wide open for him. They were supposed to have lunch together and Fern decided that she was going to pick this restaurant because she had seen it up on the internet. She loved new places and she couldn't hold back the urge to take snaps here and there. She took several pictures of the hotel layout and asked Jake to take a picture of her by the table before their waiter arrived.

"What's the need of having one thousand and one pictures, Fern?"

Jake was now tired of taking several pictures and wanted to stop and focus on why Fern had brought them here in the first place.

"Babe, come on stop being a pooper, you are not making the mood alive, you are destroying everything for me. Plus you know I need to keep my social media up to date and I am not planning to leave my number one spot in the competition."

Jake sighed heavily and took different pictures of her from every angle he could. When Fern was satisfied, he sat down and looked into her phone judging the pictures one by one.

"Babe, this one you didn't take my boobs properly, and this other one you've cut my legs, my legs can't be seen."

Jake just faked a smile and looked at her talking about her pictures as if they are that important to her. He was already tired and had to be in the office to make a deal with the weapon company. Watching Fern, just made him more tired and worn out.

"Next time, I will make sure a photographer accompanies us, I am not good at photography, but maybe someone who is a pro will be good for you and your campaigns. Just look for someone who can offer us a picture session at a reasonable price and let him or her do the shooting."

Fern on hearing that jumped up and hugged Jake, she was excited that they will be having someone to do their photography session and on top of that, he will be capturing everything that they are doing. She couldn't be more excited at this time of the day. 

Jake watched how he was excited and was left lamenting with his brain about whether he is making the right decision. He watched how the other tables were busy staring at Fern and to some point he held his head in his two palms and bent down.

'I thought you were done with Her after that night with Dee?' 

             His brain was doing some questioning. 

After doing some gun shooting with Dee at Jade's party, they were welcome to celebrate the cake cutting. Surprisingly, Jade gave Dee the cake first instead of his parents. That made Claire mad but at the same time, she understood that Jade and Dee are close together and it didn't bother her much. Later Dee and Jake had a short conversation but it was nothing meaningful that suggested they were going to make ends meet. They were mostly talking about business and the deal that they need to make today. That's why Jake was itching to leave this restaurant so that he can rush and not delay the deal. He knew very well, that Dee might get the deal and it was a weapon deal that they have to make.  That's why he was busy trying to make Ferm understand why he didn't have more time with her and he wanted to go. To say that he was enjoying every moment of this was all a lie 

'Can you at least talk about something else, I just want to eat and go back to my work, is there something else or should I just go?'

His brain did the cheeky pose and gazed from all corners before smiling at him. 

'I know you want to see Dee, I bet today she is one of her best royal blue skirts suit or her mustard high waist skirt that you always salivate when she in. Don't worry, someone else might be touching and you are not going to touch it. She respects herself, unlike you who doesn't care what she is doing. What's the need for a cameraman anyway? You are good at taking pictures. Can we take a look at your google cloud, I bet I will get one thousand pictures of Dee that you took, but too bad you can't take good ones for Ferm too.'

               "Just fuck off!"

"Babe are you okay? The waiter was asking for something that you want to eat, is everything okay?"

Jake didn't realize that he had shouted to the waiter. He thought he was all alone talking to himself, turns out he was not. Instead, he was still in the Italian restaurant with Fern by her side. 

"Jeez, fuck, can we go, I don't think I feel hungry."

Jake complained and was about to stand up when Fern shook her head for him to sit down.

Don't leave banes, plus look at how they are looking at you, they will think you have turned mud with yourself. Let's just give them the wrong look so that they may think you are okay."

Jake nodded and the waiter was called back.

"Fern, oh no, it's you here all along, what are you doing? What? Why are you with Jake?"

Edith was the one serving them at this time.  Fern didn't know that she worked in this restaurant. Now that she had seen her, she started adjusting her dress and moved closer to Jake placing her hands in his. She smiled and Jake also tried to do the same. 

             "We are together now, Jake is my boyfriend."

"Uh,... Ok...well, that's good news, so he is not with Dee again? The way she came here, terrorized me and called me a shame, that's what I remember."

Fern held her mouth trying to fake a gasp. She looked at Jake then at Edith.

"Ohh, I am so sorry, why did she say that? She is so bad and a big pretender. Do you know that he did that to me and Jake? I am happy that Jake decided to choose me instead of her pretending ass, right honey?"

Jake just nodded while looking outside. He wanted to tell them to shut up because talking about Dee, brings in some feelings that he doesn't want to member and he doesn't want to hear any of it. Plus he can't understand why they are all against Dee.

                 "can we meet up later, maybe in the evening?"

Edith asked while winking at Fern. Fern in turn looked at Jake who nodded because he had to agree with Fern.

"Deal then, we will be having Jake too, maybe if we get another plus one, we will have him tag along, is that okay babes?"

Jake nodded and they ordered their meal. 

After Edith walked away, Jake had to push Fern to her initial position and sat lost in his world. He didn't even look up.

"Why are you bad-mouthing Dee, it's not like any of you is an angel?"

"No babes, I am not bad-mouthing her, I was trying to tell Edith that she is not good. Have you also heard? she bad insulted Edith. Tell me if I am wrong to bad mouth her?"

Jake laughed looking at the menu on the table. He couldn't understand how girls were. As much as he has a sister, she has always been complicated on her own, so he couldn't complain about that.

"What are you supporting her anyway? I thought you were against her?"

"That doesn't mean that I have the right to say bad things about her. Maybe Edith is just mad, Dee went and took her deli and now she has turned it into something big. Don't be fooled, Fern."

Fern scoffed and smiled at the new waiter who was bringing their meal to the table. She watched how Jake was busy digging in his meal without a problem and wondered whose side he was on. She wanted to be convinced that maybe he is on her side but the more he looked at his point of view and his words, she was reclined to think that he might not be on her side ever.

She smiled and thought it was not a good idea to show him that right now. 

                         "How was work today?"

Jake raised his head after listening to her talk about work. This was the first time she has asked about that. He thought that maybe Fern has changed and would try to be a better person. Maybe he can now boast to his sister who said he would never find any worthy person in his life.

"It was good, just busy here and there. What about you?"

"It was good, I think the modeling agency is going to endorse me for their modeling. They are still working on it."

Jake nodded. He was excited that they were having a normal conversation and wanted it to last. This is what he has been craving for in his life after Dee left. Getting to know, how each other's day went and helping each other in case there is a problem.

"So what are you going to be advertising for?"

Fern chuckled and played with the nodules on her plate. She doesn't do much. She will say she is watching her figure. Jake was already tired of telling her to stop eating a little amount of food. He leaves her to eat what she wants.

"Just some clothes nothing more, so I am making sure that I am eating to maintain my shape, you never know when they are going to call me for it."

Jake nodded and didn't ask anything further, instead, he ate up. When he was done, he wanted to excuse himself, but he stayed waiting for Ferm to finish her meal.

'Maybe I need to be good to her. If Dee was not made for me she won't be, she is also a person, and someday she will change. I don't know if it will work but I hope that it's going to work. Maybe I am aiming too high for this, I need to calm down.'

'haha, you are imagining the wrong things, dude. Who changed in this world? No one changes. If you think you had a meaningful full conversation with her, congratulations. What I know, dee had Meaningful conversations every day. She knows when to open her mouth and shout all over but look at you two looking so desperate to fit into each other. Just stand up and go there is nothing for you here.'

Jake shook his head to make sure that his thoughts are not monopolizing anymore. The waiter came to pick up the plates and Jake settled the bill before they walked out of the room. 

On their way, they met Christopher walking. He was with his wife. Fern was surprised to see him as he walked closer. She suddenly excused herself and walked to the washroom before they could reach them.

                "Hey man, how are you doing? Long time no see."

Jake chuckled and greeted him before saying hi to his wife who was standing beside him with her belly protruding.

She walked in leaving the two men to talk. 

"I am fine dude, how about you? I see you took your Ex's sister the way you wanted, how is it going?"

"Absolutely fine man, I guess I will see you around, I have something I need to attend to."

With that, Jake left but for Christopher, he headed to the bathroom side where Fern was headed after winking to his wife who was looking at the menu. 

          "There she is, how are you doing my pretty little doll?"

Fern wanted to jump out of the place but the rooms were so small and Christopher had caged her in between them making it hard for her to move anywhere. She stood facing him and didn't want to admit That they knew each other.

"Dont pretend that you don't recognize me, it's Christopher, your little playtoy in the woods. I loved the last time you rode me on top of that dead old lady, maybe next time, let's make sure it is on top of your sister's body because my wife there is not giving me the way you did. Her belly is on the way, so, unless you don't want me to tell Jake our little secret, make sure we meet tomorrow at our usual spot, I have something for you, plus we will chase some bad people later, carry your weapons."

He traced his hands up Fern's thighs and found her pants, slowly he placed his hands into her entrance and Fern leaned into her touch. 

"Not here please, I will make sure I make it up to you. Is that okay?"

".aybe one last kiss before you meet that dick hole you want to drain all of his money."

                    "Fern, we are running late, come quickly."

Jake interrupted them and Christopher walked quickly to the Men's room leaving Fern pretending to be adjusting her dress before walking out smiling at Jake. 

                     Sorry, I was adjusting my  dress, it's all good now."

Jake nodded but could help but feel the unique perfume on her. He wanted to ask about it, instead, he assumed it and walked to the car. They were to be driven to their places of work and Fern was the first to be dropped off.

"I will miss you babe, please take care okay?"

Jake nodded and they left her to go into her bakery shop. Jake was smiling but wasn't sure if it was going to last or if it was just drama showing itself. He wanted to say how much he was happy but he couldn't. He knew some things might go south. Plus why was she having a strange perfume on her all of a sudden?

He arrived at the meeting offices and realized that it was still early. He smiled to himself, he was happy that he didn't come in late. He wanted to take the deal as much as he could through the letters were not open. This time around, his tender was proposed to be friendly to everyone, something he has never done on weapon tenders.

The meeting began and still, Dee was not around. He looked around but he couldn't see Dee anywhere. He thought that maybe they are stuck in traffic. As much as he wanted to be excited that he might end up not attending the meeting, he was worried that something might have happened to her.

'I thought you didn't care about her, why are you still in my mind asking where she is at?'

'I want her around, maybe to see how I am going to get this tender and she will be left with nothing. She might be the student and think she is mighty but when it comes to this game, I am the big person.'

'Don't fool yourself, there are other big people out here than you, so calm your tits.'

The door opened and all eyes opened as Dee and Dan walked in.  The other members said 'hi'' except for Jake who was still surprised as to why she will always tag along with her handbag.

Surprisingly, they were sitting next to each other. Dee wore her blue suit and neatly made her face. Jake inhaled her perfume and to some extent, he wanted to touch her. 

He pulled the chair for her but Dan beat him to hold the chair. Letting out a grimace, Dan took a step back leaving Jake to hold the chair. Dee thanked him and went ahead to focus on what was being said. Jake spent most of his time staring at Dee, her scalp was shinny and her glasses were making her look more beautiful.

"Maybe you should focus on the person talking, I am not offering the tenders."

Dee whimpered at him when she felt he was staring too much at her. 

"don't fool yourself, baby girl, I have a lot of things to focus on."

"Good, take your eyes there it will be good, for now just shut up!"
