Secrets of the Wicked

A plan that was supposed to involve saving her friends turned into a full-blown mess that plagues Anberine wherever she goes. The worst part is that it's not just any boy, it was the King's Son! How will she cope with her bully who now behaves like a puppy on not just any leash- her leash! Short Except- "What could you possibly want with her?" Marcus asked coldly only to pause as he saw Prince Skye show Anberine a withered purple flower which had yellow on the bottom petal that he had in his right jacket pocket. Anberine's mouth parted while her eyes as she narrowed them showed she was in disbelief, what was he up to? "Seriously...? A dead flower?" Anberine asked dryly not at all impressed by what he was up to. "Well it matches your eyes" Skye commented as he saw her newly changed violet eyes which were still not amused, clearing his throat he kept the flower visible "Violets that sparkle, flowers despite withering never suit you anymore than they do now" Skye said mentally blinking at what he was saying. 'Wait what? What did I just say?!' Prince Skye screamed mentally not believing what he had just said. 'Why did I said something so dumb?' he berated himself for the stupid comment. "What?" Marcus was left baffled while Anberine was even more confused, to prove she was confused she tilted her head and her expression showed she was completely lost. "What has he been drinking?" Anberine asked still in shock as she tried to observe any features that would have been off. "Did you sneak a sip from your father's wine cellar? Or did you hit your head when no one was looking?" Anberine asked bluntly now looking at Marcus who shrugged. "I did drink something" Prince Skye admitted causing the pair to stare at him quickly, that was odd why was he admitting anything and to them no less? "I've been drinking in your beauty and for a rat-faced girl, you look cute" he added with a sly smile. -Author's notes- Please let me know what you think, feedback and comments are truly appreciated. Lead the way

As Skye stormed after Anberine he paid no heed on where he was going leaving him perplexed once he stopped to take a breather.

'Where am I?' Skye commented as he took notice of how similar the trees were.

"Oi! Where are you?" Skye yelled as he now stormed towards the left, he soon paused as he saw a familiar rock and groaned.

"Great... I'm running around in circles... where did she go?" he muttered darkly as he tried to examine the area once more. A sharp snap entered his right causing him to almost jump in shock but quickly regained his composure.

"Who is there?" Skye demanded but nothing happened causing him to chew on his inner cheek, he wasn't paranoid. He heard something but what was it?

"AH!" Skye screamed loudly as he felt his back being touched, turning round he glared at what it was- Anberine. She raised a brow at him.

"For a prince you get lost easily if you are alone" Anberine said to his anger.

"Well who left me alone to begin with?" Skye snapped as she remained unfazed.

"You got rude, there's a consequence to that" Anberine said before grabbing his left hand and pulled him to the right.

"Where are you taking me?!" Skye yelled as she stopped to frown at him.

"The exit, unlike you I took note of the path when you led us to the lake" Skye flushed in embarrassment.

"Whatever" Skye rolled his eyes "lead the way" Anberine remained frowning before leading him to the exit. On the other hand Skye felt embarrassed that he allowed himself to get lost and ended up having to resort to asking the rat girl for help. Not that he would allow anyone to find out.

"Don't tell anyone about what happened" Skye said coldly as he removed his hand out of her hold. Pursing her lips with her eyes closed Anberine exhaled slowly.

"Why would I? After all we both will be in trouble for leaving the school grounds" Anberine said with a patient tone before walking ahead of him. "I didn't want to go out anyways" Skye twitched in anger.

"Then why are we here then?!" Skye wanted to shake Anberine's shoulders harshly but refrained from doing so. No once they were back at the castle will he personally deal with her.

"Besides, all you do is mess about. You never show any cares of studying and you're going to be king. What example are you setting?" Stunned into silence Skye continued watched her walk away. That was cold even for her and yet... she was right?

'No way! She's just a peasant what does she know?!' Skye wanted to lash out but held his tongue. Storming after her he grabbed her wrist startling her.

"This is coming from the girl who doesn't stop studying, don't you get tired of keeping your nose in the books?" Anberine huffed at him.

"No one says being lazy helps one get ahead and if I want to be a sorceress then I need to study. Not slacking off like you, even if it is hard or not make an effort" Anberine scolded as he now pulled her towards the village, once there Skye blinked rapidly in surprise at state of it.

Seeing the villagers Anberine sighed heavily as she tried to remove his hold over her wrist.

"I get it, only the privileged get special treatment. You don't need to rub it in" Anberine said causing him to realise she was right next to him.

"I know my place, you don't need to make me feel less than a human" Skye raised his brows before furrowing them.

Grabbing her wrist once more he silently pulled her with him even as they made it back to the grounds, once there he spotted what looked like a homey house and entered it.

What greeted them were tables and chairs on the ground floor, on the tables were vases filled with various flowers that appeared captivating to the eyes.

"Ah-Sire?!" a blond haired woman cried in surprise as she approached them.

"What brings you here?" she asked as Skye dragged a vexed Anberine to a corner of the room that almost hid the pair from viewers.

Curious the woman followed them silently while rubbing her hands on her whitish brown apron.

Wearing a beige dress under her apron she placed her lock of hair behind her light blue bonnet that matched with her electric blue eyes.

"Do you have ice cream?" Skye asked confusing Anberine but he paid no heed. Blinking the woman clapped her hands.

"Yes I do, what flavour sire?" the lady asked as Skye stared at Anberine.

"Well?" Skye said bluntly leaving Anberine who was sitting down uncomfortable.

"What? You brought me here without any reason" twitching Skye sighed at her reluctance to answer.

"Bring something sweet please" Skye muttered wearily as he placed a hand to his face, seeing this the woman giggled softly.

"Coming right up" the woman said kindly before walking away leaving the pair alone.

"Why are we here?" Anberine asked looking perplexed but tried to remain calm given that anything could happen.

"Since you like to be a bookworm then teach me" Skye replied sternly earning him a stunned look from the girl.

"You're joking right?" Anberine asked coldly.

"Do I look like I am joking?" Skye challenged as he folded his arms.

"You a prince wants to learn from a peasant? One who likes nothing more than to wave his sword about?" Skye twitched in anger.

"I get it! I prefer to fight than study" Skye drawled dryly as she leaned back on her chair.

"So? Why me?" Anberine asked while observing him carefully.

'He's being weird, did the lake actually remove the spell?' Anberine almost felt herself go cold from the thought, if that was true then she was going to be heaps of trouble.

Watching Skye chew his bottom lip weakly he looks away with a withered look on his face.

"I- look I find some subjects hard alright? It's not like I want to learn them but-can you do it or not?" Skye squirmed under her fixed look even as the woman placed yellow coloured shaved ice in front of them and left afterwards.
