Chapter Nine
SMITHS RESIDENCE.
Albert smiled thinking of the beauty he was about to meet again. Immediately he was informed that his guards have left with Sofia to his secret residence,he quickly entered his car and zoomed off.

"And where the heck are you taking me too?"
"To the Prince residence, Ma'am." One of the security guards or rather messengers as they called themselves answered.
"Why do I feel like you're abducting me?
"Security guards:.....?"
"What? Why the reaction? I mean why should the Smiths residence be located at the outskirts of the town. At first we passed by houses,stores and the rest. Now we're in the middle of trees. Soon we'll be going through the waters.
"Security guards......"
"What were you thinking?" Sofia shouted at the messenger driving. He actually lost balance listening to Sofia spout 'nonsense' as he thought.
"I wonder what gave her the rights to talk like that about our Master's family. She surely has some guts."He thought not realizing the fowl running towards them. The car shooked with great force in a bid to put on brakes turning everyone in it over.
"I'm sorry Ma'am." He apologized before he silently prayed that Sofia do not tell Albert about it. Else he would better bid his family farewell before going to meet Albert .
Soon they arrived.
As soon as they got down,Sofia took a look round the environment. A beautiful 'scenario' she must say. Surrounded by blue seas. Flowers, arts,'ooh what a cool place to stay.'
'This way Ma'am." One of the messengers said, jolting her back to reality.
She followed them silently till they came face-to-face with a magnificent building.
"And where is Albert?"
"Inside Ma'am."
"Well, I won't go inside till i see him."
" But he's inside Ma'am."
"How am I supposed to know you're telling the truth? When he sent some fierce looking men to fetch me. Who knows if I'm been taken to a slaughter house?"
"And who is going to slaughter you?" A deep,hoarse voice asked.
The trio looked at the direction of the voice . On seeing the owner,the two messengers bowed respectfully apart from Sofia who stood , head straight, shoulders high,looking sternly at her so-called future husband.
"Leave us." Albert ordered the messengers.
Now alone.
"How are you Beauty?"
"I'm fine as you can see. Can we make things snappy, I'm a busy person. Why am I here?"
"Let's go inside."
"I prefer to stay here."
"I would have done whatever I wanted to do with you a long time ago. Why do you think I'll hurt you now? Please come with me. We need some private moments, away from the eyes of these servants here."
"Let's go." He said offering to give Sofia a hand which she ignored and went past him.
"Are we not going in again?"
"I'm sorry."
With that, Albert took Sofia to his sitting room, upstairs.
"Please make yourself comfortable. I'll be right back."
Albert rushed inside and came back with a tray containing a bottle of Pinot Noir red wine and two wine glass.
He filled her glass with the wine and did same to his.
"So how have you been?" Albert asked sipping his wine.
"I'm ok. Why do you keep on asking same thing?"
"I'm sorry about that."
Sofia only rolled her eyeballs. "I feel disguted."
"Albert......."
"What if I employ you in my company. Don't you think it'll be better?"
"Well thanks. I'm ok staying at home."
"You're a bit harsh to me."
"Really?"asked Sofia, sneeringly.
"Yes."
"You know what, I'm so tired and wants to go home."
"But you just came."
"Well, it's becoming stuffy infact don't ask too much,take me out of here."
"No problem, If you say so."

THE NEXT DAY.
COFFEE SHOP.
A lady is seen covered in a face mask. She is drinking coffee. Seems she's waiting for someone. Few minutes later,another young lady joins her.
"Good evening Aunty."
"Welcome Dear."
Sofia drinks her own coffee. "Aunty you sounded urgent when you spoke on the phone."
"Yes Dear. First of all I want to apologize for not fulfilling my promise of protecting you from your father's ploy. Things are getting out of hand now, we ought to do something."
"Aunty,i don't know what to do again, I've decided to accept my fate."
"Never! That's why I called you over. I have a plan."
"Really?" Sofia asked excitedly.
"Yes. I thought of you a replacement on your wedding day.
"What!" Exclaimed Sofia who got choked while drinking because of what her aunt had said.**cough**cough**.
"You ought to be careful next time. You almost spilt the coffee everywhere." Mary said.
"Aunty how could you.........? Oh no please. I appreciate you concern for me but I don't want to involve you in this anymore. Please Aunty, it's for your safety"
"Sofia if I don't get involved,who then will?"
"Aunty I want to do this alone."
"Sofia,you can say that you don't need a replacement but please don't tell me you don't want me to get involved. Moreover, your Mother will not be happy wherever she is,if I don't do anything about this."
"It's ok Aunty. I'll update you with whatever that happens."
"That will great." Mary said heaving a sigh of relief. "The coffee is almost cold."
"Yes it is. I'll drink it down in a heartbeat."
"Mary: Hahaha."
