Chapter Four

"The Young Master of the Smith Corporation wants to speak with you." John said with a cold voice.

"The Young Master of the Smith Corporation wants to speak with...... who?" Sofia asked again.

John could not believe the young lady before him. "Is her hearing ability disabled?

"Tsk,tsk,tsk, young lady didn't you here me?"

"May I know where he is?" The lady asked politely.

John swept his eyes to Albert's direction and the young lady followed suit.

"Hahaha" The lady let out all of a sudden to the astonishment of the people standing before her.

"In the car? Well, go and tell your Master, that I am not one of those who go about answering people that cannot walk up to others. Instead they sit back in their cars while they send scary messengers to fetch others." Sofia said with a straight face  .

"John....."

"Guards......"

"Sir..." the chief guard spoke in a hoarse voice seeking the permission of John to deal with this lady that dares to insult their Master. But John gestured them with his palm to be calm.

"This lady must be a psycho." John said inwardly. "She won't be good for the Young Master. Else she bite in her madness in him. "May I know your name young lady?" John asked politely.

"My name....name... name " Sofia said playing dumb.

"Yes your name. " John confirmed. Looking at the lady with a confused look.

"My name is.... "The young lady snapped her fingers at the man whose ears were wide open and who looked with great anticipation of her name,thereby scaring the wits out of him. "I didn't know you can be scared." The lady said laughing at the man's reaction. 

John immediately regained composure and was about to scold the lady for pulling such childish pranks. But before he could say anything, the lady answered, "Sofia. Sofia is my name." She said walking out on them.

"Sofia"John repeated, nodding simultaneously. "Let's go." He ordered as he took the lead back to the car.

"Master, the..." John was cut short by the facial expression of the fearsome man that sat next to him. His eyes exuded a chilly look that could melt ones marrow on meeting it.

"What took you so long and where is the lady?" Albert asked in fury.

" Young Master, the lady, refused to come with us. Moreover she looked like a physo. So..."

"So.... ?" Albert interrupted. That wasn't the reply John expected. He immediately regretted not forcefully bringing the girl to Albert.

"I...I" Stammered John. "I let her go ." He finally let out as if forcefully letting out a substance after been choked. "Her name is Sofia."

"I didn't ask for her name. I asked you to bring her to me. I'll give you two days to find out everything about that lady. Or?"

John understood the meaning of "or" in Albert's last statement. Cold chills ran down his spine. How was he going to get Sofia's details. He just met her and....." Gosh" He cursed under his breathe.

"Did you say something?"

"Ergghh. Nothing. I'll do as you said."

"Good. Let's go."

Sofia walked into the magnificent surrounding of the building where she lived in. She thought of the "weird people" as she named them; that she met few moments ago.

"And who the heck were they?" Her eyes widened in shock at her imagination."What if... What if they're kidnappers?" But no she shooked her head. 

"How dare they mention the Smiths?" She smiled at her witty behavior and not being swayed by the lies of some strange people. 

"Craaaaaaaaaaaaang." Her thoughts was cut short by a loud noise that emanated from the building. She quickly ran into the building and met a horrific sight. Her father was drunk and was destroying every thing he came across in the sitting room.

" Master please calm down." Pleaded Festus. He looked at the bodyguards who stood there like trees. " Why are you just standing? Stop the Master."

Sofia's face was immediately squeezed by the view she beheld. She had never seen her Dad so drunk. She immediately ran to Festus. " Sir, what's going on?"

"I'm sorry Ma'am, I can't tell you the details for now. What we need to do now is to get the Master calm."

" Don't you dare come close to me." Shouted the intoxicated Williams.

"Guards......."

"Take him to his room you good for nothing bunch of fools!"

In a flash, the bodyguards bundled their Master to his room followed by Festus,leaving behind their stunned young Missy, Sofia.

SMITHS RESIDENCE

There was pin-drop silence in the dinning room apart from the clattering of cutleries. Everyone ate quietly and would glanced  at one another at intervals. John felt suffocated by the atmosphere. He knew he had wronged a beast. And couldn't put up with the sharp look Albert gave him at intervals. He could see those eyes filled with anger and ready to kill if permitted. When he felt his soul leaving his body, he quietly excused himself.

"Hello"

"Hello Investigator Dan. This is John speaking. I need you to get me the details of someone."

"Thank you."

 ..

Back in the dinning room, the servants cleared the table after everyone was satisfied.

"I met with Williams and have officially sign the contract. So you'll need to meet the girl, and get to know her. But that would be for a short while. I want everything to be snappy. So, you can have her as you like and........." Smith frowned when he noticed that his son seemed to be lost in thoughts. 

"Son. Albert"

"Dad" Albert answered after he was jolted back to reality.

"Are you ok?"

"Dad I think I'm stressed up. So let's have this discussion some other time." He said before leaving for his room. John followed suit.

"What's wrong with him?" Smith thought. "Well some other time if he thinks so."

"That girl is beautiful. I need to get a touch of that front side. Gosh, her butt is Paradise at Last. How did I miss that opportunity? I would have been enjoying her taste by now. Hmmmmmmm. But I'll soon get her. What use is my father's wealth if I can't get hold of a small girl?" Albert smirked at his thoughts. "I must get her. I must."
