Later that night, someone knocked on the door of the Parker's manor.
After asking for Marlon's permission, the servant opened the door.
It was raining outside.
Lance was wearing a black-gray wool coat and leaning on a black scepter. He walked in with water vapor all over his body.
Marlon could barely get out of bed and walk now. When Marlon saw the man coming, he frowned and said, "It's so late. What's the matter?"
"Has Yvette fallen asleep?" Lance asked.
Marlon was confused. "It's so late. She must have gone to bed."
"Is she alone?" Lance asked.
Marlon was stunned for a while, then he realized and said, "Of course not."
Even Marcus didn't know about the fake marriage. Of course, the fewer people knew, the better. Otherwise, it would be no good for Yvette.
Lance's eyes darkened as he asked, "Can you go and have a look?"
Marlon didn't understand. "It's so late. She is sleeping? What am I going to see?"
