Chapter 5: It's a TRAP!

Ace's POV

Tara's brother, I mean step brother is Jeffrey Reyes, 'yung nag-invite sa akin sa S.G.F.C.! Does this mean na nakita niya na ako? Also, Tara did mention na he was using me as his inspiration for his novel? Shoot! I don't even want to be a part of a BL novel or seeing myself or reading na nafa-fall ako with another guy! Just seeing others is already okay for me, but ako 'yung main character, definitely a big "No" for me!

"Ace, free ka ba this evening? Mayroong yaoi convention mamaya sa isang mall near sa school. Gusto mo sumama? I bet na matutuwa ka!" Tara said.

I've never been or went to a yaoi convention. Siguro this will be the first time and I feel excited but scared. What if may makakita sa akin? But I really want to see it and baka may mga cosplayers na guys na portaying yaoi manga characters. Teka, parang nae-excite na ata ako.

"G ako, Tara! Anong oras 'to?"

"Later 5 p.m. Pwede ka magdala if you want to."

"Sure, check ko kung may maisasama ako." I answered and I'm thinking of pranking both Harry and Chester. Naisip ko na iinvite sila sa isang cosplay convention but little they don't know, this will be a yaoi convention and sana, maawaken ang pagiging Fudanshi nila. Hahaha!

As soon as I got into our room sa dorm, nandoon sina Harry and Chester and they were playing games sa phone nila while they are sitting on the floor and magkaharapan. Do they really need to be in that position kapag naglalaro? Medyo sus na silang dalawa but I think pabor sa akin 'yun.

"Guys, gusto niyo sumama sa isang cosplay convention?" I asked.

"Sure! Wala naman kaming assignment ni Chester eh, tapos wala rin naman kaming pasok bukas." Harry answered.

Hindi ko classmate sina Harry and Chester since sa kabilang section sila at ako ang nahiwalay sa aming tatlo.

"Anong oras ba, Ace? Sana marami ako makitang mga goods doon tsaka mga sexy na cosplayers!" hirit ni Chester while he looks so excited.

"Yes. May mga sexy cosplayers doon, and 5 p.m. pa naman." I said while I'm doing an evil laugh at the back of my mind. Haha!

Nang makarating na kami sa entrance ng convention, Tara was already there standing near the entrance and was waiting for us. As soon as nakalapit na kami kay Tara, she whispered at me, "Ace, bakit mo sinama sina Chester and Harry? Fudanshi din ba sila?"

"No they're not."

"Bakit mo sila sinama? Buti pumayag sila?"

"No, they don't know na this is a yaoi con." I whispered and did an evil grin, "I'm doing this to awaken their inner fudanshi kasi we have a deal."

"Baliw ka talaga, Ace! By the way, pupunta din si Kuya since he wants to meet you na rin in person para makapagpaalam siya sa'yo na he will use you."

"What do you mean by "Use" me?"

"I mean 'yung sa novel niya. Later na natin pag-usapan, tara na dahil baka masira pa ang prank mo at makita nila na hindi 'to normal na cosplay convention!" Tara said.

Pumasok na kami sa loob and Chester whispered, "Pre, nasaan na 'yung mga magagandang cosplayers? Kanina pa ako naghahanap kaso wala pa ako nakikita. Puro lalaki pa lang nakikita ko."

"Teka, Chester, baka 'yun 'yung hinahanap mo? 'Yung cutie na may yellow hair na medyo maliit and may hawak na ice cream!" Harry added.

"Takte, ang cute niya! Pwede ko kaya siya ligawan? Tara pa-picture tayo doon!" Chester said.

Hinanap ko 'yung cutie na sinasabi nila na may yellow hair and may hawak na ice cream. And nang makita ko 'yung tao na tinutukoy nila, napatingin kami ni Tara sa isa't isa and when our eyes met, alam na namin kung ano ang nasa isip ng isa't isa.

"It's a trap!"

Ang cutie na nakita nila ay ang M.C. ng yaoi na "Boku No Pico"! Haha! I won't go much into details but this yaoi anime/manga is really disturbing but it's fun to watch but I don't really recommend this since napaka-outrageous nito!

We went there and took a picture with the yellow-haired cutie and good thing na hindi siya nagsalita dahil masisira ang prank.

"Grabe! Ang cute niya talaga! Gusto ko siyang yakapin!" Chester said while he was looking at his phone and cherishing his picture with that yellow-haired "dude"!

Hindi na namin napigilan pero natawa na lang kami ni Tara but we can't spoil the fun yet.

"Parang di gaanong marami 'yung mga lalaki na nasa cosplay convention na 'to no? Tsaka parang halos lahat babae ang mga guests?" Harry asked.

"Okay na 'yan! Mas maganda na puro babae ang nandito, kahit wala pa ko masyado nakikitang nag co-cosplay na babae, mas maraming girls naman ang audience!" Chester said.

Napailing na lamang kami ni Tara at pinipigilan namin ang tawa namin.

"All right guys! Ya oi hakurankai e yōkoso!" bati ng sexy na girl host with her Yumeko Jabami outfit from Kakegurui anime, which means "Welcome to our yaoi expo."

"Shuta! Ang ganda nung host, Ace! Buti sinama mo kami dito! Gusto ko din mag papicture mamaya!" Chester shouted.

"Sure, pa-picture ka lang sa lahat. I won't stop you." I said.

The girl host was introducing a contest for the best cosplayer for this expo. So I guess makikita namin ang M.C. ng Boku No Pico later which will be exciting. Haha! I can't wait na makita ang reaction nila lalo na si Chester.

After a while, pinakilala na ni Yumeko host ang last contestant and doon na nga lumabaas si yellow-haired dude and he made his poses and the best part is that he was eating his ice cream in a very seductive way like the M.C. did in the anime! Haha!

"Ace! Kasali siya! Grabe! Sobrang cute niya talaga!" Chester shouted, "I love you! Sana ikaw manalo!"

Then a part of the audience looked at Chester and they all laughed, at pati na rin kami nina Tara and Harry.

After ipakilala lahat ng host ang mga contestants, we were given a piece of paper kung saan isusulat namin ang favorite namin sa lahat ng sumali.

"Guys! 'Yung yellow-haired cutie ang isulat niyo lahat ah! Contestant number 10 tayo lahat! Di ko alam kung sino 'yung kino-cosplay niya at di ko pa napapanood pero mamaya ko na aalamin! Basta kailangan manalo siya!" Chester said.

Sinulat na namin lahat ang number ng contestant na si yellow-haired dude from Boku No Pico and we dropped it sa isang ballot box near sa stage.

As soon as natapos na ang voting, pinakilala na rin ang winner, and as expected, contestant number 10, the M.C. from Boku No Pico won.

And now, it's time for the moment of truth dahil kailangan niya na magsalita dahil hindi sila nabigyan ng chance magsalita kanina sa stage and puro poses lang ang ginawa nila.

"Ang cute siguro ng boses niya? Sa liit niyang 'yan, napakamala-angel siguro!" Chester said while he is very excited and sobrang fan na fan siya.

Nang magsalita na si yellow haired dude, "Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng bumoto sa akin." with his very deep and manly voice, I looked at Chester's face.

His face was so shocked that he almost whited out and nakanganga na lang siya.

"A-anong nangyari sa cute little angel ko?" Chester said while he is still in a state of being shocked.

"Ayan oh? Gusto mo pa ba mag papicture? 'Di ba love mo siya?" Harry said.

Chester is still shocked from what he had witnessed and nag tuloy-tuloy lang ang program sa stage. There's this one segment or program kung saan may dalawang guys na nag rereenact ng scene from a BL anime which is "Given" where the main lead character, Uenoyama kissed Mafuyu, the other main lead, after their performance sa isang live show.

All the girls were shouting and even I can feel the love and talagang nag kiss sila just for this segment and all are loving it except for Chester. He is still in a state of being shocked to the extent na hindi mo na siya makausap and nakanganga na lang siya and his eyes are glued sa stage kung saan nakita niya ang dalawang guys na nag kiss.

I don't know who's more fun to watch, the two guys kissing or si Chester na hindi na makapagsalita and he was like murmuring unexplainable words! Haha!

"Hindi mo naman sinabi na yaoi expo pala 'to, Ace! Nag expect si Chester!" Harry said while he was laughing.

Wala lang kay Harry since I think na nagets niya na na this is a yaoi expo nang makarating kami dahil he is somewhat an Otaku, or a person that has an obessesion for anime and manga. But for Chester, since hindi naman siya gaanong nanonood ng mga anime, sobra talaga siyang nagulat and tingin ko, nawala na siya sa sarili after niya ma-fall kay yellow-haired which turned out to be a dude.

After the program hindi pa rin makapagsalita si Chester dahil sa lahat ng nakita niyang mga scenes na first time niya lang siguro makita, lalo na sa ganitong paraan. Was I successful in awakening his inner fudanshi?

Hindi na gumagalaw si Chester at inakbayan na siya ni Harry habang naglalakad and nauna na sila umuwi and naiwan na lang kami ni Tara sa Expo. We went our separate ways muna ni Tara sa loob ng convention to check some stuff and kung may maaari din ba kaming mabili.

While scanning through some yaoi manga na I haven't had the chance to read before, I heard a guy with a cold and deep voice, "Bad Boy Musashi? Maganda 'yan! Try mo basahin."

"Oh? What's this about?" I asked while I'm still checking the inside of the manga without looking at the guy who was talking to me.

"Basta something about being a househusband but I don't want to spoil you so better yet, basahin mo na lang." he said.

I closed the manga and I've decided to give this one a try since the guy that was talking to me, which I don't even know, recommended it to me. I looked at him and he was gazing at me and smiled a little. I felt a little awkward so I was smiling sheepishly.

While looking at him, medyo familiar siya sa akin and parang nakita ko na siya. He's way taller than me and older than me. Kung siguro, if basing sa physical aspect ng katawan niya and mukha, he's 12 years older than me so that makes him 28 years old just by looking at his face. He looks matured with his eye glasses na medyo makapal ang lenses, medyo may pagkabalbas sarado, wavy hair and also he has a nice set of teeth which is really caught my attention.

He even looks like a main character from a yaoi manga, a lead one and parang nafe-feel ko sa kanya is 'yung main character vibes from Junjuo romantica, si Akihiko Usami.

Nakatingin pa rin siya sa akin and I still feel a little awkward since hindi ko siya kilala and I don't know what to say, out of respect, nagpakilala na lamang ako sa kanya.

"I'm Ace po by the way. Thank you sa recommendation."

"Nice to meet you, Ace. I'm..."

He then was interrupted by a very sharp and napakatinis na sigaw from this girl.

"Kuya Jeff! Nandyan ka pala!" Tara shouted from a far.

Napatingin ako sa lalaking nasa harap and kausap ko, and I didn't know that I was talking to "Jeffrey Reyes", Tara's elder step brother and the one who added me sa group ng S.G.F.C. and the guy who wants me to be the inspiration for the main character of his BL novel!
