"Do you need help?"
The world seemed to have stopped as those words hung in the air.
Time itself seemed to have been frozen.
The bear monster was frozen, suspended in time itself.
Raze's body tensed up despite him not being frozen in time; he found it hard to move.
The offering of help came from behind him in a voice as sweet as honey itself.
It was so sweet and melodic that Raze instantly wanted to believe any and every word that it said.
And yet, his heart grew cold, feeling like it wasn't even beating anymore.
It was hard to notice, but for someone who was perceptive of little details like Raze, they would notice how the voice was ever so slightly off tune.
Out of pitch, almost like someone or something trying to mimic a human voice.
Air refused to enter or exit his body, and it felt like he was being choked just by being in the presence of what was behind him.
