Chapter Thirty four Beautiful assets

Tyler stepped from his bathroom and frown when he saw Caleb and Fabian sitting on his sofa. "If the two of you are here to lecture me about my dinner with Kayla last night, you can save your breath because I don't want to hear it.' He said sharply.

"Relax little brother; we're here on more important business.' Fabian said in a solemn tone. "We're here about Janice," Caleb adds in the same tone. "Is she okay?" Tyler asks in panic grabbing his clothes off the bed.

"She's alright, well physically anyway. Personally, I don't think that girl will ever be emotionally okay ever again." Fabian said sighing heavily. "What happened? Did she have another nightmare last night?" "Well yeah but this particular nightmare began after she escaped from her boyfriend and before you found her," Caleb replied.

"You may need to sit down for this one little brother because this is going to shake you to your core," Fabian said as Tyler put on his clothes and took a seat on the edge of his bed. Twenty minutes later Tyler walked slowly towards Janice's room while still trying to process everything his brothers had just told him.

He was so choked up with emotions he couldn't even speak but he did manage a weak smile when Mrs. Mona stepped from her room followed by miss Alice carrying Faith. From the expression on his face, they knew that he had heard the story as well, so after pausing long enough for him to kiss Faith good morning they went downstairs.

As soon as he entered her room she ran towards him and hugged him tightly and for a while, he just held her close. There were no words to describe how he was feeling or the hell she had been through.

"I'm so sorry you had to go through all that." He whispered against her forehead. "I'm okay now; I'm trying to put it all behind me. God gave me a second chance when he sends you to save me and Faith that night." She said softly resting her head on his chest. "It's going to be very difficult but I'll try to move on. I now have a second chance to make something of my life and I'm not going to let my past hold me back." She said looking up at him.

Tyler shakes his head and smiles with admiration down at her. "You're an incredibly strong little lady, you know that?" He said with tears in his eyes. "I don't feel very strong right now, but thank you." she smiles sadly. "You're kidding, right? Come on girl, you practically went through hell, and still, you found the strength to help me. You were more concerned about me than the incredible amount of pain you must have been in at that moment." He said caressing her cheeks.

"And still you didn't ask me for help, you were going to let me leave you there. I'm a man and I guarantee you that I would've passed out long before I got to that bench." He chuckled. "Well, I did pass out remember?" She says forcing a smile. "Yes, and I thank God that I was there to catch you. Now, let's go outside and have breakfast in the gazebo with Faith where it's cool." He said taking up her breakfast tray, then taking her by her hand he leads her from her room.

Two nights later Tyler had just left Janice's room and was on his way to the kitchen to get them some snacks when he ran into Caleb and two of his cousins. "How do you stand it, man?" Chad asks biting his lips. "Stand what?" He asks confused.

"Being so close to her without wanting to rip her clothes off and make passionate love to her?" Caleb said and made a seductive moan. "What the hell? Are you morons for real right now? She needs protection and support, not someone gawking at her like a piece of meat, and Caleb I swear, hands-off, you hear me, don't even think about it." Ty said in a stern tone.

"Yes, sir, and no doubt she will get all that and more but you can't tell me you haven't noticed her beautiful attributes?" Caleb said wiggling his brows. "Caleb I'm warning you, don't." He orders. "Yeah, those fit water coconuts, broad hips, and that J Lo butt, damn, makes a man mouth water," Kevin said making the same sound Caleb just did.

"You guys are unbelievable," Ty said grabbing the big bag of chips and two bottles of juice. "Oh come on Ty seriously, you can't tell us you haven't noticed?" Caleb teased. "Last I checked I had a perfect twenty-twenty vision and a photographic memory so yes I have noticed but if it's all the same to you knuckleheads I really don't wish to have a conversation about her extremely alluring attributes. Good night boys." He said and left the kitchen but on his way back to her room all he could think of was her alluring assets.

There was no question, she had a beautiful body and with all the time she was spending in the gym, it was getting more and more beautiful by the day and yes he shouldn't be admiring another woman while trying to make things work with Kayla but damn it was hard not to admire such beauty, especially when it was practically shining from within her.

The following day Susan was busy pushing the trolley down the aisle of the supermarket and choosing food items from the shelves when Kayla walk up to her. "Hi Susan, funny running into you here. I was actually planning on stopping by your house today." Kayla said flipping her hair behind her. "Hi, Kayla." Susan greeted her and turned her attention to the trolley Kayla was pushing.

"That's a lot of food. What's the occasion?" Susan asks. Kayla smiled proudly and ran her hand over her stomach. "Oh; no occasion. My man and I are back on track and he's once again dishing out the cash, so I'm just getting a few things for the house.'

"A few?" Susan asks arching her brows looking at the trolley. "Well you know me, and by the way, Ty has gotten two ladies to help me; my house looks a lot better now."

"I'm glad; a messy house isn't healthy for the baby. So, you and Tyler are back on track? Maybe now you'll stop running around with all those men and finally settle down." Susan said checking her list against the things she already had in her trolley.

"O m g I can't wait to settle down with Tyler. He really knows how to treat a lady and girl; guess what? I was with him yesterday afternoon when the driver of his bus gave him an envelope, and guess what?" Kayla asks excitedly spreading her fingers on her chest. "The man told him that there were twenty thousand dollars in the envelope and my baby just took it and handed it to me, all of it! Can you believe that?"

Susan couldn't help rolling her eyes. "Yes I can; Tyler has proven a hundred times over just how much he loves you." "Oh yes he has but that's not all. Before he moved out because of, well…you know…well anyway I was at his parent's house and I heard him and his father talking about his trust fund." She said taking a few more items from the shelf.

"I didn't tell you this before but girl; Tyler will be getting two million dollars as soon as he turns thirty." She said taking up a few more items; even things that Susan knew weren't good for her now that she was pregnant.

"Go easy on the sugar and the salty things Kayla; they're not good for the baby or you for that matter," Susan advised. "Stop telling me what to do Susan, I'm a grown woman and I'll eat what I damn well please." She snaps but then took a deep breath and smiles one of her famous fake smiles. "But anyway as I was saying, his brothers have already gotten theirs and soon it will be my baby's turn. Wow, my man has got it going on." Kayla danced around.

"He's making twenty-three grand per day off his bus and I heard that he bought another one two weeks ago and is now in the process of getting it licensed and registered, isn't that awesome." She said proudly and frowns as Susan took up a bag of whole wheat rice.

"How can you eat that? It's disgusting." "No, it's not, it tastes very good and it's healthy. I'm going to get some vegetables." Susan said walking away but Kayla followed her. "Anyway it will be on the road soon and that means he'll be making close to fifty grand per day from the both of them and I won't even mention his monthly pay; talk about being financially stable.'

"Sounds like you're more in love with his money than you are with him," Susan said annoyed. "Oh please, stop hating. Every woman wants a man that's financially stable and can take care of them. This brings me to the reason I wanted to see you." Kayla said as Susan took up a few more items then head towards the cashier.

Kayla did the same and followed her. "I need you to tell your man to stop spreading rumors about Tyler being the reason my baby is dead. Both of you are not supposed to know anything about Tyler's decision and there will be devastating consequences for me if Tyler found out that I told anyone." She fumed as Susan took her items out of her trolley and put them to be cashed.

Kayla waited until they were outside before she continued; two guys had followed them out to assist them in getting the things in the back of their cars, so she spoke in a low tone so they couldn't hear her.

"Tyler is getting very suspicious so I need your man to back off now before he says something he shouldn't. Maybe he should spend more time concentrating on his life and less on mine. I'll see you around." Kayla said turning and walking towards her car.

I may give away everything I have

And even give up my body to be burnt

But if I have no love, this does me no good
