She was a good way down and feel that she was doing great until a cement truck begin driving slowly behind her. She was thinking of pulling over to the side so he could pass when another big truck sped past her in the opposite direction causing her to swerve hard to the left and end up in a big stone.
And then to her dismay came a panic attack. She couldn't breathe, couldn't think, and couldn't move except for trembling. Cold sweat washes her and her hands were shaking so hard she couldn't even hold her phone.
Then came the tears and no matter how hard she tried she couldn't stop them. She was so overcome with panic and anxiety that she didn't notice the man knocking on her car window.
The man saw that she was minutes away from going into shock and he didn't want that to happen while she was still locked in the car so he bangs a little harder telling her to focus on him and not the overwhelming panic that was threatening to overpower her, he was all too familiar with panic attacks.
Through a haze, she heard the faint knocking but seeing as though she had no intention of opening the door she ignored it. It wasn't until the person call her name that she lifts her head and look at him and realized it was someone she knew, well not know but had spoken to more than once.
She began fumbling with the lock but her hands were shaking so bad she couldn't grasp the handle. He call her name again and indicate for her to whine down the glass which after a few tries she was able to do by holding down on the button.
When the glass was down to a safe distance he put his hand inside, pulls up the lock and opens the door, and gently helps her out and that was when she had a total breakdown.
She was crying uncontrollably that he had to put his arms around her waist to hold her up. He tried moving her away from her car but her legs wouldn't move. "I ca…can't….breathe." She gasps. "Shh deep breaths, deep breaths." He said softly. "you'll be alright, shh you're okay now." He whispers trying to soothe her.
Ty takes a bite out of his sandwich as he leafs through one of his big medical books. He skips another page and saw a photo of his ex Kayla. His first impulse was to crush the photo in his hand but didn't and the fact that he found himself staring at it didn't help him either.
He couldn't deny it, her beauty was breathtaking but her soul was dark, very dark and he found out just how dark firsthand, and it literally almost killed him.
His heart ached with how much he loved her, how much effort he put into making their relationship work but she didn't love him, he was just her personal bank account, his money that was the only thing she loved, the only reason she was with him.
All he wanted was to marry her and have kids with her but that wasn't what she wanted and she made that crystal clear when she deliberately killed the first child she was carrying by having an abortion which he didn't know about until she got pregnant again and he found out that she had been cheating on him for years.
And of course not with one man but with multiple, which still made him sick to his stomach up to this day but that was his past. His future now consists of a very lovely lady, loyal, honest, and trustworthy to the core, and two wonderful children. Although if he was been honest he would've admitted that what Kayla did to him back then still hurts whenever he thought about it.
Never in his life could he ever imagine being with someone so cold-hearted and what was worst, he never saw it coming. He had just crushed the photo in his hand when Jessica, one of his best friends run up to him and told him that his wife was just admitted to the ER which had him up and out of the chair in seconds.
Janice opens her eyes and bolts upright in the bed, her eyes roaming frantically around the room but stop when she saw three nurses in the room "Oh thank god you're awake." One of them said coming towards her bed.
"You almost gave your husband a heart attack; he was so worried about you." Another one said. "He's just down the hall talking to that handsome hunk that brought you in here." The third one said.
"Does anywhere hurt?" The first one asks. "Just my head, what happened to me?" Janice asks. "Well according to that sexy specimen of a man, you had an altercation with a rock and the rock won." The second one said laughing. "Here drink some water." The first one said again handing her a bottle of water with a straw.
"You do remember what he looks like right?" The third one asks. "Um, yes I think I do," Janice said with a wince. "Here take these pain killers for your head." The second one said and she did. "So do you know him?" The first one asks.
"Not personally, a group of us from church ministered to him a few times and he seems genuinely interested in our faith," Janice said. "He said he was going to take your car to his shop and fix it free of cost." The third one said.
"Oh no, I can't believe I wreck my beautiful car, I thought I was ready and now look what I did." "Hey calm down we and your husband are more worried about you that the car. The car can be fixed, however, you young lady has been through enough already." The third one said rubbing her hand.
"But wait you guys, did you all see those biceps? He carried you in here like you only weight a few pounds; damn he was like the incredible hulk." The second one said." "Na, more like Aronald Schwarzenegger in Commando." The third one said.
"You two are exaggerating, he isn't that big or bulky. He's more like the Rock in the Scorpion King." The first one said as Janice shakes her head at the three nurses drooling over a man they just met. "Oh she so nailed it, I just hate her." The second one laughs.
"What I wouldn't give to feel those muscular arms around me for just one night." The first one said hugging herself. "You ladies are shameless." Janice chuckles and winces again as she slowly swings her legs over the side of the bed and got up slowly
One of the nurses jumps to help her. "Oh you can talk, you're already married to a sexy hunk, we're still single so we can drool all we like." One of them said as she enters the bathroom.
"Sorry ladies but I think he's already taken, I vaguely remember a wedding ring," Janice said from inside the bathroom.
"Of course he is; a man like him walking around single would be a crime." One of them said sadly and the other two burst out laughing.
