"Thank you for holding it in." Maya's mother said as she and her oldest daughter wait for the bus. "I know she just buried her child's mom but honestly, it took everything I have in me not to slap her with the cold hard truth," Tamara said angrily. "I mean, did she really think she would have it all, the man, the house, the money, the child? No, life doesn't work that way, Mom."
"I know, I know but she's hurting right now, as angry as I am at her for what she did to Maya, I'm still her mother." "I know Mom and that's the only reason I held my anger in. That child was her sister's husband's child, how could she? The Lord knows best I guess." Tamara snorts.
"And on top of all that, she put all her attention on that child and all but ignore the others, because that child was her meal ticket to the big life, well let's see how long that bastard will stick around now. here's the bus. Let's go home." Tamara said in a cold tone.

"Don't do that, don't you dare stifle your grief, don't suppress it, let it out," Samson said to Caleb as he stands beside him at the pool. Tears were running down Caleb's face but he said nothing and made no sound.
"Speaking from experience man, grief has a way of eating away at you until there's nothing left. Look around you, all these people are here for you. Let them in, let them be there for you, trust me it's the only way you're going to get through this." Samson said softly as he grabs Caleb's shoulder pulling him into a hug.
For a moment Caleb didn't move but a few seconds later Samson could feel Caleb's shoulders shaking and before he could respond or say anything Caleb grips his shirt and began weeping bitterly. Samson knew that no words would be able to soothe him, so instead of trying to find any, he held Caleb tightly as he wept.
His mom and dad came over to them but seeing as though Caleb was still gripping Samson's shirt they came behind him and place their hands around him just as Caleb's knees buckled and he fell to the ground, still weeping bitterly.

Ty chuckles softly to himself as he watched his wife admiring her newly acquired certificate and beaming with pride. He, his mother, his sister, two of his aunts, and about eight of his cousin including Jayden, who had strongly refused to give up his role as her personal bodyguard were all standing in various parts of the restaurant, their eyes scanning every corner, entrances and exits. His mom had chosen this high-scale restaurant to celebrate Janice's latest achievement. They were all very happy for her.
"Oh please excuse me, I need to use the bathroom," Janice said holding her stomach as she got up. Immediately Ty got up with her. "Relax brother, I got this," Anna said getting up also. "She's just going to the bathroom Ty, she'll be fine." One of his aunts laughs.
"Yeah, this place is so heavily guarded right now that Kayla couldn't get within a hundred yards of the parking lot without being spotted." Anna laughs as she and Janice walk away from the table. Ty was about to follow them anyway when his phone rang.
Janice had just finished using the toilet when she heard a commotion outside her stall door. She flushed and open the door, then shrike in pain as Kayla slashed her upper arm with a knife. "I've been waiting in this bathroom for hours to get my hands on you bitch." Kayla sneers in a cold deathly tone.
"Thought you had outsmarted me huh? You were wrong, you see I still have someone at the hospital keeping an eye on my man for me, they heard him mention this place, saying that his mother had picked it for your celebration." Kayla said in disgust as she swings the knife after Janice again.
"The only thing they'll be celebrating today is your death bitch. You killed my friend, you killed Maya and stole my man, then have the nerve to get pregnant with his child." She said swinging the knife again.
"I'm going to kill you then cut his child from your belly, the child I'll keep because he's Ty's blood, but you, you I'm going to cut into pieces." She growls as Janice glances around her. Trying to find a way out of this situation alive.
Ty had just ended his call when his phone rang again, this time it was Caleb. "Where are you?" Caleb demands. "At the restaurant, why, what's wrong?" Ty asks alarmed. "Where's Janice?" "In the bathroom, with Anna." "Shit! Janice is in danger! Find her now!" Caleb orders as the call ends.
Kayla lunged at Janice again and suddenly the defensive moves that Samson and Caleb had thought her kicked in and she shield her stomach while sidestepping the knife. She then pushed Kayla hard.
Kayla stumbled and tripped over an unconscious Anna on the floor. Janice then went after the knife but Kayla was faster and she quickly scrambles to her feet and swings the knife at Janice again.
Janice could feel the blood gushing from her arm but she couldn't pay it the attention it needed right now. This was a fight for her and her child's life and it was a fight she damn well intended to win.
