C4 Familiar & time skip

After getting looked over by the doctor, I was given a clean bill of health. He looked surprised and kept saying It's a mystery how I'm still alive. The look on my mothers face when he mentioned how I could have died scared even me. Let's just say the doctor almost lost his life that day. Ever since my mother found out I was poisoned she wouldn't let me out of her sight. It's been a month since I've woken up in this world, and I still haven't had the chance to summon my familiar. My mother has been attached to my hip keeping watch on me. I can't blame her for being protective because she's my mother, but I wish she would leave me alone for an hour. All I need is one hour to get to the palace garden and 'find' my familiar.

I've also not run into the sour side of my family since waking up here. They're either lying low after the failed assassination attempt. If they did it of course, or they've been told to stay away. It's unusual to not see my elder half brother. He would usually try and bully me in some way. Whether that be spreading rumors about me, or trying to intimidate me. He hit me once when I was four, and let's just say that didn't end well for him. My mom is a scary woman when she wants to be, and he hasn't laid a hand on me since. Either way not seeing them is good.

Other than that I've been practicing with magic and battle energy. Every night I devote about three hours before sleep practicing. If I wake up early enough I'll do some practice before the maids come to wake me. Then the rest of the day is spent practically tied to my mother, and going to lessons. Leveling up has been slow, but at the pace I'm going I should hopefully have 100% control over my magic and battle energy by my sixth birthday. Magic and Battle energy Manipulation has reached level 3. I've also been practicing with my fire attribute and it's reached level 2. It would be higher but most of my time has been spent on Magic and Battle energy Manipulation.

The maid that brought me the poison food was never found. My guess is whoever ordered her to bring the food already killed her. Why leave behind someone that can point to you and say 'He/She ordered me to do it'. The search ended after a week, and nobody was found. Today is a special day. It's the day I'll finally be able to summon my familiar. My mother has a meeting at the adventurers guild that she's been putting off. The problem with that is she's one of the highest ranking adventurers in the world, and when she has a meeting it's usually important. Since she can't avoid the meeting anymore, I'll be able to open the Animal Loot Box.

After a long drawn out goodbye, I was finally alone. Well, not alone. I still have guards following me, but they don't watch as closely as my mother. They just secure the area and watch the perimeter. Making my way to the gardens, I find a nice secluded spot.

'System, open the Animal Loot Box'

A screen with a prize wheel appears in front of me. The wheel is massive and has thousands of possible outcomes. On the bottom right of the screen is a button that says spin. I press the button and the massive wheel spins extremely fast. After waiting the wheel slows down, and lands on my prize... an egg (ಠ_ಠ). Alright calm down, it could be something good that just has to hatch. A red egg double the size of a chicken egg appears at my feet. I pick it up and immediately feel that the egg is hot, not hot enough to burn though.

'System, what will hatch from this egg?' I ask.

{The egg will hatch a Phoenix. In order to hatch the egg you must feed it your magic.}

'What world is the Phoenix from? Did it unlock a portion of the system shop?' I ask.

{The Phoenix originates from the Harry Potter Universe. You've unlocked a portions of the system store. Please spend wisely.}

Good, this worlds magic is only the attribute your born with, but Harry Potter magic is very diverse. I'll worry about spending my points for later. Now, I finally have my familiar, and it's a Phoenix! I should take the egg inside and hatch it in my room. Placing the egg in my pocket I leave the garden and go to my bedroom. In my room I take the egg out and slowly push my magic into it. The magic leaves my body and gets sucked into the egg like a black hole. After my magic runs dry, the egg didn't hatch. I guess it needs more magic or time or both. I have a maid bring me a small box, and cushioned the bottom with an old shirt. I put the egg in the box and store it under my bed.

Another month passed and I've been on my usual schedule including feeding the egg. One night while I was feeding the egg it got really hot and glowed in a faint red light. I placed it on the bed, and the egg started to crack. I could see a small beak poking through the shell, as the egg wobbled back and forth. A small red chicken like head pokes through the shell and looks in peeks around the room. When it looks in my direction, I can feel an instant connection with her. Yeah, somehow I know it's a her.

It's a good thing I didn't waste my SP on Fire Resistance.

'What's the difference between Fire Attributes and Phoenix Fire Attribute?' I asked.

Huh, lucky me. The sound of *cheep cheep* coming from the Phoenix breaks my concentration. I can feel from our connection that she's hungry, so I order the guards to fetch me some worms. Their's no use trying to hide her since she'll be found sooner or later. While I'm waiting for the food, it's time to come up with a name.

"I'll name you..."
