"I love you, Orig. That's my crime,"
Taya said with desperate eyes. Why was there so much darkness in her eyes as she spoke those words? Once again, Taya closed her eyes, a hopeless case.
"You must treat her more gently if you want her to stay alive as your wife. Her body is weak, Lord Orig, and the medicines will be useless if Taya loses the will to live. No one will be able to wake her up,"
said the healer, who had overheard the last part of Taya's conversation.
"Don't give me advice on how to handle my wife, just go and make her an effective medicine. That's your job, cure her however you can,"
Orig truly felt pain and regret for what he had done. He stared at the hand he had struck her with. How foolish he was. Why hadn't he controlled his temper? Why did he always end up hurting the people he cared for?
