chapter 8

Lucifer was on the verge of losing his sanity when he found out that Javan had been reduced into bones. As much as he tried to figure it out only one suspect came to mind.

The last thing he needed was to get more enemies. He was no longer sure if he could survive it.

Although to others he appeared fearless and untouchable deep down he knew that there was no hope for him.

His only hope was Raguel but he was getting out of his control without him even noticing.

If Raguel dared establish himself as an enemy then that would be his downfall. It would as well mark the end of the devil.

For the first time in his life he regretted ever sending Raguel to hell. Had he not done that Raguel would be more than willing to help him.

The list of his rivals was growing longer as each moment passed by. He was already feeling as if his enemies had surrounded him ready to attack and finish him off.

As much as he hated to admit it he knew he was helpless. Until he had Raguel by his side he would continue to be helpless.

If things kept on going to the same direction as they were now Lucifer feared that he might just be compelled to beg Raguel.

That was something that he was not ready to do at any cost. Doing so would hurt his pride. He was willing to give up his life so as to save his ego from being hurt.

He turned into a stream of smoke and went to his throne. He sat down and summoned Raguel.

He was shocked to see Raguel in perfect shape. " How did you heal" he asked. A smile creeped across Raguel's face.

" Did you call me here for that? " he asked coldly " And about me healing you should understand that you are not the only one who knows how to play dirty games"

Lucifer tried to see what was going on in his mind but he could not get access. His mind seemed to be protected by some force.

" Why are you frowning? Or is it because you can't read my thoughts" he asked sarcastically.

That meant that the idiot had done something to keep him away from his mind. Raguel appeared more collected than ever.

" It seems as if burning you made you more powerful" he said with a frown " But don't get your hopes high because soon enough I will send you crashing down"

Despite his threats Raguel remained emotionless and his smile did not leave his face.

" You have probably heard that fire is a good servant but a very bad master. You used to be on top of the world back then when I was your slave. But now things have changed." he said calmly.

" You will be the one to listen and I will be in charge "
