But when Liam’s hands fell on Kieran’s bag, he was paralyzed. He remembered their naked shadows dancing on the wall. The candle light flickering in Kieran’s eyes. The unforgettable words he’d whispered in the silent salon that night. The taste of Kieran’s berry mouth. The sound of his giggle. Liam flinched, clasping the bag tightly against his chest. He almost changed his mind, but couldn’t.

He had to end this.

There was no other way.

Liam turned around and froze.

Kieran stood in the doorway. “Don’t do it to me, Liam. Don’t put me through it again.” Kieran’s voice was cracking. “Liam, I love you! I’d do anything for you. I’ll stay here and never go out if that’s what you want…Just, please, please, don’t ask me to leave.”

“No, you can’t stay—”

“What are you doing to me?” Kieran screamed, taking a step towards him.

Liam backed up, clutching the bag. “I’m sorry—”
