Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

"Listen Harry, I understand why you think you might be a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, and even a distant relative of Voldemort," I began, looking at the Gryffindor boy calmly, "However, I think you're jumping to conclusions, and not really thinking this through."

"Yes Harry," Hermione quickly agreed with me, "Don't you think that if you were related to the founder of Slytherin, or Merlin forbid, You-Know-Who, someone wouldn't have told you about this already after all this time you've been in the wizarding world?"

"Not if it was a secret," Harry replied with a grimace.

And hearing that I rolled my eyes, "You think this could be a family secret, but that doesn't make sense because no family would try to hide that they are descendants of one of the founders, even if that founder is Slytherin."

"And besides, practically all important wizarding families have their family trees public, which means it would be impossible to hide if you really were the Heir of Slytherin," I finished, looking at Harry to see if he had finally understood that he was exaggerating with this whole kinship thing.

"That's true," Fleur said, joining the conversation for the first time, "I may not be from the UK and I may not know much about the families and traditions here, but I know that in France there are some books about British wizarding families, and these books even talk about the ancestors of these families."

"Well, maybe those books don't talk about my family," Harry argued.

And I sighed in exasperation, beginning to wonder if his insistence was because he really wanted to be a descendant of Salazar Slytherin.

"Harry mate, I don't think those books would forget to mention your family" Ron said as he looked at the boy next to him with a strange look.

"Why do you think that?" Harry looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, you may not know, but the Potter family is a very important and old family here in the United Kingdom, and after you defeated You-Know-Who that night your family became even more famous around the world," Ron replied.

And upon hearing this, Harry blinked a little in surprise, but then immediately a memory came to his mind of one of the politics classes he had with Andy during the holidays, where she talked about the importance of old and ancient families for the wizarding community.

And he remembered her mentioning the Potter family at some point as an ancient family, being practically on the same level as families like the Blacks and the Lestranges.

"Oh, well..." Harry stammered, unable to think of any other arguments to defend his theories.

And seeing this I realized that this was the ideal moment for me to use my final argument that would close this matter and put an end to all of Harry's doubts.

"Look Harry, everything you said is just crazy theories full of flaws, but the main problem with all this is that if you are a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, then half of the students from wizarding families at the school are too," I said, which made Harry and even Hermione look at me confused.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Harry asked me.

"Well, before I answer your question I need to ask you... Have you ever seen the Potter family tree?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No... And in fact I don't even know where I can see my family tree," he replied slowly, looking at me without understanding..

"I see," I nodded, "Maybe if you talk to Sirius he'll know where you can find your family tree, and if he doesn't know either you can always ask the Goblins at Gringotts, and for a price they'll do a little ritual that reveals who your ancestors and relatives are."

"Oh, really?" Harry asked.

"Yes," I replied, "And I know this because I did this ritual with them when I first entered the magical world, and that's why I know I'm 100% Muggleborn."

"That sounds amazing," Harry said in surprise, with Hermione nodding in agreement, and there was a thoughtful look on her face.

'Hmm, should I do this ritual too?' she thought, wondering if any of her ancestors were a wizard.

"But well, we're getting off topic," I said, pulling Hermione out of her thoughts. "The point I'm trying to make is that if you, Harry, had looked at your family tree, you would have realized that the Potter family is actually connected to several other wizarding families, some of which you know very well."

"Huh? Really?" Harry blinked in surprise.

"Uh-huh," I nodded, "And let's start by talking about the most obvious ones, which are the Longbottom family, the Bones family, the Boot family, and even your best friend's family, the Weasley family."

"Wait, my family is connected to Neville and Susan's family? And even Ron's family?!" Harry asked, turning to look at his friend in shock.

"Hmm, I knew my family had connections to other wizarding families, but I didn't know the Potter family was one of them," Ron said as he saw his friend look at him, also being surprised by the revelation.

"Well, if you stop to think about it, that's not that surprising," Hermione commented, drawing attention to her.

And when she saw that her friends were looking at her questioningly, she decided to explain.

"The British wizarding community has been around for over a thousand years and some wizarding families date back to that time or close to it, and as this is a very closed community these families probably ended up marrying each other, so it's normal that they are all connected" Hermione said.

"Actually, this is something that happens in the French wizarding community too" Fleur joined the conversation, "And besides, many witches and wizards end up having relationships and marrying people from wizarding families in other countries, which means that almost all wizarding families in the world have a connection with each other, even if it is very small and distant."

And upon hearing the two girls' explanation, Ron blinked in surprise, "Wow, I didn't know that" he said.

"Neither do I." Harry nodded.

"Well, what they said is true, but actually your two families don't have a direct connection as far as I know," I started to say, "But that doesn't really matter since you're connected through other families."

"Huh? Other families? Which ones?" Harry asked me.

"Well, like I said before there's Neville's and Susan's families, but I think the most recent and strongest connection is with Sirius's family, the Blacks," I replied.

And upon hearing this, Ron's eyes widened slightly, "Oh, that's right, Grandma Cedrella was a Black before she married my grandfather," he said, always forgetting that fact since his grandmother was someone too happy and kind to be from the Black family.

And Harry beside him didn't pay much attention to what he said as he looked down with a frown, "Sirius's family?" he repeated in a whisper, feeling something in his mind telling him that he knew what I was talking about.

And he continued thinking for a few seconds, but in the next instant he felt the realization hit him, "Oh yes, now I remember" he said, looking back at me, "Sirius and Andy once told me about our families, and they said that we were actually related because my great-aunt, Dorea, was born a Black"

"Yeah," I nodded, "And actually your grandmother," I pointed at Ron, "And your great-aunt," I pointed at Harry, "Were cousins, which makes you two practically related."

And when I finished saying that Ron and Harry turned to look at each other.

"That... That's amazing man," Ron said, smiling excitedly at his best friend.

"Yes, that's fantastic," Harry nodded, equally excited and amazed.

And seeing the excitement of the two boys who were now discovering that they were almost cousins, Hermione smiled slightly, happy for them.

"Yeah, yeah, that's awesome and all," I said, interrupting their moment of brotherhood, "However, I want to remind you both that all of this means that you're relatives of pretty much everyone in the Black family, which means you're also related… to Malfoy."

And as soon as I said that I tried my hardest not to let a smirk appear on my face.

However, the stunned and open-mouthed looks on the two boys' faces after hearing this information made this a very difficult mission for me.

"We're related to Malfoy?!" they exclaimed with looks of disgust on their faces.

"Uh-huh," I nodded, now not even trying to hide my amusement.

"I.. I can't believe that… I'm going to throw up," Ron said, feeling like he was getting sick.

And Harry wasn't in a better situation, as he stared straight ahead with a look of complete revulsion mixed with despair.

"Urgh... I'm starting to regret not letting the dragon from the first task eat me," Harry commented.

And Hermione was by his side patting his back gently, consoling her boyfriend while having a look of pity on her face.

And Fleur, who was seeing this, turned to me confused, not understanding why they were reacting like that.

"Who the hell is Malfoy?"

End.
