Yeah! Here's the new chapter!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After 1 hour of theoretical lessons and many explanations, the first class of the fourth years with Nick had come to an end.
What Nick taught us was basic information about Alchemy that we would find in almost all standard Alchemy books, but he explained it in his own way, which made everything more interesting and understandable.
However, even this simple explanation was still more than enough to fascinate all my colleagues, who had never studied Alchemy, not even out of curiosity.
And as soon as the class ended, all the students started to leave the classroom talking excitedly, looking forward to the next Alchemy class.
And obviously among these students were my friends.
"Man, my brother is going to be so jealous when he finds out that I had classes with Nicolas Flamel in person!" Anthony said.
"Your brother? I'm sure your parents and grandparents will be jealous" Terry snorted.
"Oh, don't even get me started. My mother keeps sending me letters telling me to ask for Mrs. Flamel's autograph for her" Sue said with an exasperated look.
"Hmm, weren't you one of the first people to ask my grandmother to sign your books?" I asked with a finger on my chin, but only received a death glare from Sue in response.
And I closed my mouth, raising my hands in surrender.
"Changing the subject, I didn't know that Alchemy could be used in so many different ways" Stephen said, somewhat admiringly.
"Yes, and it is incredible to think that Alchemy is not just magic and spells, and that it has a whole scientific basis behind it" Lisa commented with her eyes shining.
And she wasn't the only one, as most of the fourth year Muggleborns were also as amazed as she was, because having grown up in the Muggle world they understood how surprising it was to see magic being used alongside science.
'Maybe these Alchemy classes will make the most prejudiced purebloods realize how incredible Muggles and their inventions are' I thought, 'And maybe with that wizards will stop underestimating people without magic'
But putting these thoughts aside, I continued to listen to my friends talking endlessly about Alchemy, science and their excitement about the upcoming classes, and I felt happy to see that they liked Nick's class.
'Nick may seem like he doesn't care, but I'm sure he's happy too' I thought.
And then I remembered the next class we were going to have today with the other immortal who was in the castle.
'Penny is probably as excited as the students' I smiled slightly, knowing her passion for teaching.
'And I'm sure it's going to be an amazing class, and I hope everyone likes it too'

-Penny's Classroom-
As soon as lunch ended, all the fourth year students quickly went to the classroom prepared for Penny's classes, and when we got there I saw that Penny was already waiting for us.
"Good afternoon class" Penny said with a small smile, seeing the students take their seats, "I'm Perenelle Flamel, and I will be one of your teachers until the end of this school year"
And with this short presentation I couldn't help but smile, as I could feel the students' excitement and Penny's happiness.
"As you may know, like my husband I also have knowledge in many areas of magic, focusing mainly on Runes and Charms"
"However, you already have teachers specialized in these branches of magic, and that's why I'm going to teach you something different." And when she said that, the students looked at each other excited and curious.
"You will learn from me about two types of magic that unite Runes, Charms and Transfiguration, and they are widely used in our world, but they are not mentioned much"
"In your classes with me I will teach you about the two magics in which I specialize... Magics in which I received the title of master... I will teach you about Enchantments and Wards" and saying this Penny pulled out her wand and waved it.
And then we could see some lines glowing softly throughout the classroom. They were on the walls, the floor, the ceiling, our tables and chairs, and even in the air.
With my Magic Vision I could see that there were some runes and spells hidden in these lines, and looking at them I knew that they weren't just for a little light show.
And confirming my thoughts from these lines, some butterflies of light began to appear, and they brought with them a refreshing breeze.
When these butterflies passed near me I felt a comforting and warm sensation, which made me calm down, and it reminded me a little of Nick and Penny's house.
"An Enchantment is a type of magic in which you transcribe a complex magical code into objects and places, and this allows you to modify the place or item in any way you want" Penny began to explain, smiling when she saw the students impressed by the butterflies, "You can, for example, enchant the most uncomfortable and frightening place there is so that it gives you a welcoming feeling, like home"
And seeing the students sighing contentedly, Penny smiled mischievously, before twirling her wand.
"But you can also do the opposite, making the most beautiful and calm place in the world become chaos."
And then a strong wind suddenly arose, bringing with it a strong and dangerous pressure.
"Kyaah!"
"This wind is very strong!"
"Oh no, my hair is going to be a mess!"
And as I looked at my classmates' panic I could only shake my head, before looking at Penny and seeing an amused look on her face.
And after letting the chaos dominate the room for a few more seconds, Penny canceled the enchantment, causing the classroom to become calm again.
And looking ahead Penny saw that the students were still recovering from the controlled storm she created, with some still looking forward in shock while others fixed their clothes and hair.
"Well, as you can see, those were just two simple examples of what enchantments can do to a place," she said, and the students looked at her in shock.
'''Simple examples!?''' was the question that crossed their minds.
But unaware of their thoughts, Penny continued with the class.
"And in fact I want you to know that compared to enchanted places, enchanted objects are even more fascinating and complex, mainly because they have no limits to the things they can do."
"And among enchanted places, enchanted objects, and wards, the enchanted objects are more easily found and even used in our daily lives" and at this fact some students blinked in surprise.
'I think they forgot that almost every object in the castle is enchanted' I thought, before remembering something, 'In fact, the castle itself is an enchanted place... perhaps the most important enchanted place in the entire wizarding world. '
"But well, enough talking about Enchantments, let's talk about Wards" Penny said, breaking me out of my thoughts.
"A Ward is a spell where you create a dome, wall, or barrier around some place, and within that place a separate domain comes into existence."
"The creator or master of this ward can use magic to create their own rules and laws that function within the ward" Penny then tapped her wand on her desk, and the lines of enchantments around us disappeared, being replaced by runes that appeared on the walls around us.
"These rules can be simple, such as preventing anyone unauthorized from entering that place, and most of you who are purebloods or have important families probably have a ward like that in your homes" and hearing this most of the students nodded.
"However, these rules can be more complex, and I would even say... fun"
At the end of this sentence, Penny raised her wand, and I could feel the magic in the runes activate.
And then I felt the gravity around me lessen, leaving me lighter.
And looking around I saw the tables, chairs, objects and even my colleagues start to float slightly, to everyone's surprise.
"Wow!"
"I'm flying!"
"I feel so light..."
"So this is how ghosts feel?"
And now that they no longer had gravity holding them to the floor, my colleagues began to have fun as they floated around the room.
And looking forward I saw Penny sitting at her desk while floating a few inches off the ground, looking at everyone with an amused look.
And I could feel the happiness coming from her, just as I could also feel a lot of positive feelings coming from my classmates, and that made me nod in satisfaction.
'I still had doubts about whether my classmates would like Penny's classes, but now those doubts have disappeared' I thought with a small smile.
End.
