The match had already been going on for a few minutes, and I, having never seen a professional match before, couldn't help but marvel at the skills of the players in the air.

But beyond their skills I could see that the match was much more aggressive and violent when compared to the matches that took place at Hogwarts.

And as I watched the match with interest, my mother looked on in horror at the not-so-safe wizarding sport taking place in the air in front of us.

"Is that Quidditch?" my mom asked in amazement.

"Yes" I nodded as soon as a bludger hit one of Ireland's chasers in the back very hard, causing him to nearly fall off his broom.

"And you play this?!" my mom asked again with a startled look, pointing at the bloody match that was taking place in front of us.

"Well yeah" I replied, and seeing her pale complexion I continued, "But see, since I started playing I haven't been hit by any bludgers" I said proudly.

"Was that to reassure me?!" she asked.

'Hmm, it's been a while since she acted so protective of me' I thought in reflection.

And seeing this immediately on my mind the image of my mom from the first life overlapped with hers, with me remembering when she acted all overprotective when I got hurt in a football game as a kid.

And looking at my mom I could only smile slightly, but Sirius' next sentence made me frown.

"Sigh... I still remember my younger days when I played Quidditch too" Sirius sighed in nostalgia, "I think I've broken more than 7 bones in a single season" he said.

"7... Bones..." my mom mumbled with a blank stare.

"Sirius, you're not helping!" I spoke with a frown to the dog man who just shrugged.

Sighing at Sirius' attitude, I shook my head, until my mind finally grasped what he had said.

"Wait... You ever played for the Gryffindor team?" I asked.

"Yes, I was a Beater my fifth year," he said proudly.

"Oh, impressive" I said honestly.

"Of course, I'm always impressive" he said without any shame.

"Yes, I know" Remus snorted, "You're so impressive you were banned from playing Quidditch for Gryffindor team by McGonagall, and it's only thanks to the Headmaster you weren't banned from flying a broom at school either"

"Don't even remind me of that" Sirius said with a frown.

"Oh, now I'm interested in that story," my dad said, with me nodding.

"Well unfortunately that's a story you'll never know" Sirius said looking at us seriously.

And hearing that I looked at Remus.

"Let's just say Sirius has discovered a weird and disgusting new use for a mandrake," he replied, and that made me stop.

And with that simple sentence dozens of images came to my mind, and none of them were pleasant, and so I started to look at Sirius strangely.

'Ugh, now these images won't get out of my head' I made a disgusted face.

And meanwhile, in the match between Bulgaria and Ireland, Ireland clearly showed superiority against the red and black team, and analyzing their way of playing, it was clear that the teamwork of the Irish team could be considered impeccable.

And even knowing the result of the match I was still a little disappointed, since for a grand final I expected a tighter match.

Even though to some the two teams appeared to have the same level of skill, many people could see that Ireland were in another league compared to the rival team.

'Sigh... So this is how the other students and teachers feel when they see Ravenclaw play' I thought, indirectly saying that Ravenclaw is a superior team to the other houses' team.

'I guess next time I might try to give the other team some chance... Nah, I'll still crush them' I nodded to myself, a slight cocky smile tugging at my lips.

-------------------------------------

A few minutes had passed, and I was still watching the game calmly, having lost some of the interest I had in watching this Quidditch match, mainly because I knew what the outcome would be.

But that wasn't the only reason why I wasn't interested in the match anymore, in fact I couldn't concentrate on it because there was something bothering me.

And that something was the gaze of a certain girl with blonde hair and a cold expression, who had not stopped staring at me since I arrived at the box.

Turning slightly and out of the corner of my eye I saw the undisguised cold stare of Daphne Greengrass, and there wasn't even a need for me to use my empathy for me to realize that she was upset about something.

'What's the matter with this girl?' I wondered.

Sighing I turned around, looking directly at Greengrass, and as soon as she saw I was looking at her looked away, pretending to be watching the match.

Seeing this I rolled my eyes, before noticing that Astoria, who was sitting next to her, noticed my look and started smiling at me with an amused look, and I responded with a smile of my own and a nod.

'Well, at least one of the sisters is normal and friendly' I huffed, turning back around as I watched the match, watching as Ireland scored yet another goal.

"Hey Ethan" Charlie, who was sitting on my left side, whispered to me, and I turned to him.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Why was that girl in the back row staring at you?" he asked, and then a smirk crept across his face, "She wouldn't happen to be your girlfriend, would she?"

"Hmph, I would rather marry a chimera" I said with disgust.

"Huh?" and listening to my answer Charlie looked at me confused, before looking back at Greengrass.

'She doesn't look that bad' Charlie thought, frowning before looking back at me, 'Now I'm confused...'

And unaware of Charlie's thoughts I continued to watch the match, trying to ignore the intense look on the back of my neck.

I knew Greengrass had a problem with me, but I didn't expect her to stare at me at the Quidditch World Cup.

She had a match to watch and her family to talk to, but she decided that for some reason I can't understand, she'd be better off staring at me like the look in her eyes could kill me.

'Sigh... Girls are so confusing' I thought, deciding to let it go to prevent a possible headache.

...

...

...

"Hey Ethan?" Charlie called me again.

"What?" I sighed.

"Why is that girl's dad staring at you now?" he asked with a strange look.

And listening to him made me want to bang my head on a wall in frustration, as I really was feeling another gaze on me.

'Now even her father!?' I thought in exasperation, 'Who's going to stare at me next? Her mother or a third cousin?'

And not knowing what to make of these stares I was getting I tried to ignore them, something that proved difficult because of my senses and the nagging feeling in the back of my neck.

And while I was struggling with this little problem, Sebastian Greengrass kept looking at me with a few questions running through his mind.

'So this is the boy my daughters talk about so much…' he thought, frowning slightly, 'Hmm, looking like that he doesn't seem like much'.

Looking to the side Sebastian then saw that his eldest daughter was looking at me, and that only made his brow furrow even more, with some feelings of an overprotective father arising in him.

'Maybe I should keep an eye on this kid... Just in case'

And while Sebastian was downloading '47 Tips for Becoming an Overprotective Parent.exe' I kept trying to ignore the stares as I watched the match, unaware of the problem that was going to be looming over my head for something I wasn't to blame for.

End.
