Weird feeling

" You must've trained a lot to be put in this state, but don't worry darling, you'll be good as new right after I heal you "

The woman now known as Elena said while staring down at what she called her daughter, with worried eyes.

After a moment of silence, Ayami's body began to rise, being surrounded by air which began to change into a bright white color.

Her skin color became pale, so much so that her blood vessels and muscles became visible

" Hm, let's see "

Elena whispered as her finger began to travel across her daughter's body

" Her veins seem somewhat flustered, it looks like she forced her sanctuary energy through them. The only way this could have happened was if she was either, running out of sanctuary energy and was forcefully trying to pull out all the energy in her core, or, she was releasing too much energy at once "

Elena said to herself, as her hands stopped moving at Ayami's wrists, once there, she would apply force to what seemed to be glowing dots in between her veins

" I should block all of her sanctuary roots, that way, only her blood can travel through her veins "

Elena said, with a tone full of wisdom as she stared at those glowing dots, which only seemed to be found at the corners of Ayami's body.

Two on both of her knees, two on both of her shoulders, two on both of her wrists, two on both of her ankles, one on her neck, and lastly one in the center of her chest.

With quick but precise moves, Elena would target those dots, hitting each and every last one of them with her thumb

" That should be good enough for now "

Elena said to herself as she watched as the glowing dots lost their light

" Hmm, then....now, I should charge her core "

Elena thought as she would then place her right hand on Ayami's stomach, as soon as she did her hand began to glow a bright white, and that light started to enter Ayami's body, surrounding what seemed to be a huge dot in the center of her stomach. The light then began to wrap itself around the dot, like a blanket would a weapon, and just like that Ayami would open her eyes, panting as if she had a nightmare, breathing so heavily as if she had run a marathon, she seemed, tired.

" Ugh—my head "

Ayami whispered as she placed her palm against her own forehead, trying to get rid of the annoying feeling in her head.

" Where—-where am I? "

She questioned as she looked around, pushing her hair back with her fingers. After a few seconds her eyes would lock onto her mother's, and as soon as they did, she would immediately bow, bashing her forehead against the floor with her hands do the side

" M-mother, what am I doing inside of your cube? "

Ayami questioned, as her breathing became even louder as her arms began to sweat

" Well, you've wasted a great amount of your Sanctuary Energy so Yanu had no other choice but to bring you here since I'm the only one capable of helping you "

Elena explained, in an attempt to calm her daughter down, but as her lecture ended, Ayami's body went back to normal, her skin was no longer see-through

" Mother, you know it is highly prohibited for a villager to enter this cube, you set that rule yourself, the only way to enter is if you're escorting an outsider with you, which, at the current moment, I am not doing "

Ayami quickly replied as her forehead began to bleed

" But you're my daughter, and you're suffering quite a lot at the moment, so who cares about the rules, I was worried about you "

Elena replied, which in turn made Ayami somewhat irritated

" Mother, you're the village head, you have to set an example, if the village head is allowed to break the rules, then the younger villagers would follow right behind those footsteps and break the rules themselves, later leading to our village turning into a pathetic club for imbeciles "

Ayami said as her mother simply stared at her with a look of extreme concern in her eyes, because the moment she spoke, Ayami fell headfirst against the ground, hurting her nose in the process

" you shouldn't move a lot in the star that you are right now, it's incredibly dangerous to do so "

Elena explained as she helped Ayami up, assisting her with sitting on a chair

" Mother "

Ayami whispered as she looked down at her own legs, as the sweating that covered up her body increased

" Yes? "

Elena questioned, intrigued by her daughter's sudden call out

" I feel tired, so tired that I could pass out at any moment "

Ayami said, as her loud breathing became even harsher, which in turn made her face red

" Well, for one, you've released a lot of your sanctuary energy, second, I've blocked all of your sanctuary roots, prohibiting the energy from your core to travel through your body, this will allow your veins to heal, but in return, you'll feel tired and wasted "

Elena replied, while Ayami simply sighed. She seemed disappointed in herself, which made Elena even more concerned

" Why did you even push yourself so hard? "

Elena questioned as Ayami slowly turned to look at her, with an expression of embarrassment

" Because of a boy.. "

Ayami replied, her tone full of honesty and her face covered by a brighter red

" A boy? "

Elena asked, receiving a nod as an answer from Ayami

" Is that boy perhaps, Shu? "

Elena questioned, as all Ayami could do was turned away from her mother, not wanting her to see the expression she was making

" Oh, I see, you like him, is that it? Are you training to catch up to him so that he could recognize your value? "

Elena exclaimed as Ayami quickly turned to look at her, her face seemed angry and her eyes seemed irritated

" No, it's not that. It's just that, I've been training my whole life and then a random boy just falls from the sky and turns out to be stronger than me. Not only that, but that boy is an idiot and indecent! "

Ayami replied, as Elena simply blinked a few times at her daughter's statement, laughing a bit right afterward

" I know how that feels, but, jealousy could lead to many, many mistakes in life. Don't let that feeling conquer you, or else something even worse than what happened today might happen later on "

Elena explained, as Ayami simply nodded, looking down while squeezing her pants a bit

" But it's not only jealousy, the moment I saw him, I began to feel something, it didn't feel like love or anything, it felt like—uh, a connection of sorts, like the feeling you get when you're extremely obsessed with something, but you don't necessarily need it "

Ayami, replied, trying to explain to her mother why she was acting the way she was, of course In her mind she thought she was only making excuses so that her mother wouldn't punish her

" Hmm, I see, well, it was nice talking to you Ayami, like you said earlier, I can't make exceptions when it comes to my villagers, besides, you're practically already healed, all you need is some rest, which you can get plenty off at your house "

Elena said as she clapped her hands a few times, and once she did, they both found themselves outside of the cube

" Thanks for healing me mother, I-I really appreciate it. I hope we can have another conversation like this another time, until then, take care "

Ayami replied, at first a bit surprised at the sudden change in environment, but soon got over it, beginning to slowly walk away from the cube, being as careful as possible so that she wouldn't fall down

" Connection huh? I'll have to look into that "

Elena whispered as she watched her daughter walk away, before turning around, entering the cube with a serious look on her face.
