28: Benefits of helping a protagonist.

Timmy felt strangely refreshed, even though there were many parts of his dream that he had forgotten, those teachings that he had learned or reflected on himself were deeply engraved in his being. Then, when he saw his sponsors, he felt an intense need to apologize.

Then he started to think about why, then he began to think about how he had behaved since he got his sponsors, his way of thinking, his words, and his actions, and he realized many things that made his face crumple.

"Cosmo, Wanda, I... I want to apologize to you. I have treated you like wish machines, wishes that I have asked for out of control and for which I have not taken responsibility. So... I hope you will forgive me for the foolish things I have done," as he spoke, Timmy lowered his head, feeling sad after facing the reality of his past actions.

"Ay Timmy, it's okay, you must realize your problems," Wanda came out of the fish tank and transformed into her fairy form, then hugged her godson who started to sob in her arms.

"I-I will try to be better in the future..." the boy managed to say between sobs.

Cosmo had also returned to his original form and hovered around Timmy, not hugging him but putting his hand on the little boy's head. He was silent because he knew what it was like to face your actions, even someone as stupid as he was, after millennia of gaining wisdom, he just preferred not to show it.

Cosmo was a calamity when he was born, and although this word may sound very serious for a baby, fairies are fundamentally different from humans. Not only are they immortal, but they have powers beyond human understanding, and they grant wishes to children as a mission rather than a true bond.

Not to mention that his actual forms are more mysterious than one would expect. Thus, when Cosmo was born, he caused catastrophes to the point of destroying civilization on several occasions.

Of course, as he grew older and took control of his unbridled powers, he found himself contemplating his past actions, even if they were unconscious because he was a baby.

It didn't help that his cousin Jorgen held a grudge against him for all the work he put him through, even though he was very grateful to him for helping him control himself. Cosmo would never forget that Jorgen was perhaps one of the few people who supported his marriage to Wanda, even against all the objections of his overprotective mother.

"You are very brave, Timmy. The important thing now is to move on knowing that you can fix things, at least you didn't destroy Atlantis," Cosmo said with a big smile on his face that made Wanda laugh and Timmy curious.

"Atlantis is real?" the boy asked, wiping away tears as he watched his Magical Godfathers in amazement.

"Oh yes, they talk about it for a reason, don't you think? Even though I'm forbidden to go there," Cosmo said with a little embarrassment in his tone.

"Would you tell me about some mysterious things? Please", an obvious change, Timmy rarely asked for a favor, that he did this time surprised even the fairies who had seen what their godson had been through in those illusory worlds.

"Sure honey, but first you should go downstairs for dinner, I think your parents would want that," Wanda mentioned, then the fairies turned back into fish and swam in their aquarium, just as Timmy's door was opened by his father.

"Hey son, I know it's your privacy and all that, but I'm your dad, so don't bother me," Timmy's dad said, knowing that his rude intrusion might cause his son to throw a tantrum, just to calm things down.

Timmy just looked at him and didn't answer, which made his father feel quite strange, but he was really tired after a day's work, he didn't want to think about anything else but dinner, so he just walked over to his son and took his hand.

"Come, I'll take you to the dining room, your mom made 'food' again, but I ordered a nice pizza for both of us, you know how it is," the father shivered, thinking about the monstrous food his wife was capable of creating.

How could such a beautiful woman have no talent for organic things? Even living plants couldn't stand her touch, even he, with all his love and understanding, saw the situation as unreal. Fortunately, it didn't work on humans, otherwise neither he nor his son would be here.

"Oh yeah, thanks dad," Though Timmy's thanks took him by surprise, the man simply accompanied his son and left the room alone.

"Fuck, I thought he'd never leave," came the voice of Samus, who came out of Timmy's closet together with Ciri, a strange twinkle in her eyes if you ask me.

"But at least we could see that what he learned stayed with him and didn't go to waste," Ciri replied, feeling the change in Timmy, he was no longer the snotty and annoying kid they had met before.

"Yeah, well, let's hope he grows upright and doesn't go rogue, or I'll have to give him the beatings that life has in store for him," Samus said as she approached the Magic Godfathers' fishbowl.

The fairies reverted to their original forms and looked at the blonde with some confusion, but both were grateful for Samus' help, so they just smiled. Cosmo, in particular, offered her his hand.

"Thank you," Cosmo said, causing Samus' eyes to narrow slightly in excitement.

She had wanted to make contact with such special beings for a long time, so she accepted Cosmo's greeting without hesitation, and then, after several years of seeing nothing unusual, Samus' eyes seemed to glaze over as she saw the true nature of the being in front of her.

Unlike Skull Knight or God Hand, who didn't bother to hide the essence of their true selves, the fairies did. Their bodies were theirs, but there was something else inside, something more... special.

Samus saw that inside Cosmo there was a more essential aspect of him, you could say it was his second form instead of his true form. Golden wheels with multiple eyes that, sensing her gaze, watched her and returned her gaze.

Samus' mind seemed to explode from what she saw, her mind receiving random information from everything, absolutely everything, much of it meaningless babble in an unknown language, but something vital was hidden there, taboo knowledge, superior knowledge that a mortal mind should not experience.

Samus' eyes turned red, blood flowing from them as her body withstood the pressure of her mind on the verge of collapse. Beings of this style cannot be blinded by weakness; mortality is weakness.

But with the suffering Samus was going through, her body collapsing from unknown forces and her mind shattering, she smiled. Her teeth, stained with her blood, looked especially cruel as madness peered into her bloodshot eyes.

Then she began to laugh, for in that moment, right now, she was blinding herself to a truth, one of the many truths that existed independently of the universe in which she found herself.

Alchemy is an act of refining and sublimating oneself through practice, and many alchemists were people who acquired small bits of information from beings of immeasurable power.

That's why it was easy for Samus to get along with superpowered beings, but not even Aleister Crowley, who was said to be able to talk to angels, would dare to examine one as deeply as she did. It was the equivalent of looking an eldritch abomination in the eye just because you were curious to see what it looked like.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Samus' laughter seemed to echo ironically throughout Cosmo.

She was alive now, because even though Cosmo was powerful, he wasn't a being that held an important position, so Samus was only able to stand by sheer stubbornness. Ciri wanted to approach her, but Jorgen appeared in front of her and avoided her.

"Do not approach, this girl has seen something a human should not see, her mind only pieces, debris of what she once was, only something superior could help her," Jorgen's eyes were focused on Samus, assessing the situation that had just occurred.

This was his fault, he had been distracted and let this happen. Samus was a researcher, fairies were the perfect material for research in this universe. The mages tried and it caused them so much trouble that they isolated themselves in their dimension, from which they still haven't emerged after thousands of years.

"What happened? She just shook hands with Cosmo," Ciri felt angry that they hadn't stopped her from helping her friend, but also sad to see her in that state, bleeding from her eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.

"She saw the second nature of fairies, I never noticed your friend's special eyes before, I thought they only allowed her to see ghosts or something, I never expected her to see so deeply into us," Jorgen explained, making Ciri understand a little.

Although she wanted to know more about it, she figured she would end up in a similar state to Samus if she tried to find out more, so she concentrated on watching Samus, who had begun to move erratically.

Samus' blood was falling to the floor, her feet were moving crazily around the room, but then Ciri realized that she was doing something, she was drawing something. When she tried to look, her powers seemed to react, randomly teleporting her to some distant place, as if they sensed a threat so great that they acted on their own.

"This is bad, isn't it?" asked Cosmo to his wife, both were frightened by what was happening in front of them, and the male fairy felt bad for unintentionally hurting this girl.

"It's not your fault honey, how could you expect such a terrifying ability in such a young human?" said Wanda, realizing what was happening to Samus, she felt the need to calm her not-so-bright husband, she didn't want him to feel guilty.

"We need to isolate this room, Cosmo, Wanda, help me," Jorgen asked with some urgency in his voice, as the Supreme Fairy he knew what young Samus was doing, and although he was astonished by this development, his duty as the strongest Fairy urged him to act.

Soon, Timmy's room was enveloped in layer upon layer of spatial isolation, separating her from reality itself, yet anchoring her to it at the same time, all before Samus finished what she was drawing.

It was a series of lines, glyphs, and geometric shapes impossible for mortals to understand, but at this point Samus was just a broken puppet of what she was before, acting on pure instinct. When she drew everything in a circle, the interesting thing began to happen.

A silver glow soon bathed the room, the pure energy of the universe being drawn to this place and interacting with the matrix Samus had created with her in the center. Soon, the blood stains on the floor turned silver and the whole room took on a heavy atmosphere.

"What's she doing?" asked Wanda.

"What's left of her knows the situation she's in, so she instinctively created this matrix with the forbidden knowledge she gained from observing the Cosmos, all for a clear purpose, albeit a very greedy one if you ask me.

She will sacrifice all the incomprehensible information in her mind, leaving only the truth she has learned, in addition to healing her shattered mind, well, not exactly healing it, it would be more like... tempering it. The girl instinctively wants to use her terrible situation to make herself mentally stronger, commendable".

Jorgen's eyes were sharp, he knew Samus was human, but her body was too... perfect, so to speak, it reminded him of those primitive humans capable of living for centuries. But the girl before him faltered on the mental side, even with her sensitivity to the energies of the universe, her mind was essentially that of a mortal.

How interesting, with this, she would be able to explore the knowledge she learned without much risk and perhaps she could become immune to many beings with corrupting or mind-damaging abilities. She also felt a strange power supporting her, it was luck, an exaggerated luck, blessed because of her actions against Timmy.

Helping the Turner boy seemed to give Samus a blessing of luck, or so Jorgen assumed.

"Timmy is the main character of this era, and helping him get better would allow you to get a small boost of luck temporarily, but why did the girl seem to multiply that blessing by 7?" wondered Jorgen quietly as he continued to watch the glow of intelligence return to Samus.

"I have seen gods and conversed with them, I have seen the Omniverse in all its glory, and now I understand a truth..." the blonde said, smiling like a flower in full bloom despite the blood that covered her body.

"I HAVE UNDERSTOOD THE INS AND OUTS OF ENERGY!" the young woman shouted.

Samus felt that her sensitivity to the energy of the universe had become stronger, and she felt that she could now do alchemical work with less effort and with much greater complexity. The difference between her and the alchemists in the Omniverse was that she exchanged her resistance instead of matter or energy.

Now she felt she could control this process better, she would no longer fall to the ground with weak legs when she tried to do something big, unless she did it twice, of course.

It wasn't a power-up, but it allowed her to refine herself under the concepts of classical alchemy, to reach a kind of enlightenment, one that she would research, test, and execute to make it her own.

It would be like Flamel with his stone, Hohenheim, and his homunculi, or Crowley with his summons.
