End of a Myth

The three grand lords lost large amount of health with each passing second.

When their hp was close to 20% and they were about to enter a berserk mode, they noticed that a team of knights walled toward them.

Three hearts skipped a beat as the Twilight Knights appresive aura surrounded the trio.

The giants took in air and released a deafening screem.

"Master!! Save us!!!"

They screamed like pigs as the sound made everyone take a step back.

Leroy frowned, and wasn't the only one, everyone resumed their attacks before thing started to get more, the twilight knight attacked inmediatly and the giants were quickly in the brink of death.

It was at this point that the wind started blowing throw the city's alleys as if a storm was forming.

A flapping sound could be heard that quickly arrived above the team.

Leroy looked at the new challenger with shock.

When the tree grand lords died, they looked at the source of the sound and were equally shocked. But quickly, everyone's face was filled with excitement.

Abyss Demon Tyrant, Deyro (Mythic Rank)

With more than two meters in height, Deyro had a humanoid body with two large wings comming from its back that released mana with each flap.

The tyrant looked down and started descending calmly, but the aura it released made everyone's blood boil.

Dying in the abyss battlefield had no penalty, one just wouldn't be able to log in for the rest of the day.

Not letting the tyrant take the initiative, Leroy started casting his debuffs.

'Curse of Piet' 'Curse of the elements' 'Absorb Agi'

Three curses fell on the boss, everyone quickly used their curses and buffs.

Olympus was ready to tank the tyrant that was descending to the ground, when a portal opened behind the mythic creature.

A hammer that seemed to carry the weight of the world struck the tyrant's back and sent it flying.

The strength of Wonder was that high, specially when the monster had quite a few debuffs on him.

Even though their spells had lower effect due to the tier difference, when stacked, they still played a significant role.

The tyrant was about to crash against Olympus when he activaded a shield skill and the boss was sent four meters back.

His awe inspiring entrance ruined, the tyrant released his aura and everyone felt their movements became slower.

Thd tyrant turned to Wonder and aimed a finger at him, at this moment, Olympus attacked with his shield at his sides.

From the tyrant's finger, a dark ray of energy shot toward Wonder but it missed by a small distance.

The ray easily penetrated many buildings behind and made them collapse.

"This isn't a monster we can deal like this, Trafford prepare that array" Robb said as he started attacking along everyone else.

"But it is a single use one" Trafford complained.

"Just do it, this thing surely has good drops" Katakuri said as he also attacked.

Trafford sighed as he took out a five colored crystal, he then throwed it into the ground.

As the crystal seemed to fuse with the ground, the sorrounding mana went crazy all over the central area of the city.

The tyrant inmediatly saw his attributes decrease by 50%.

Abyss Demon Tyrant, Deyro (Mythic Rank)

"There goes the trial of god's suppresion treasure" Trafford sighed as he used the item, they have obtained it after a lot of effords in that place, in the end, it could only work against mythic monsters anyway.

What he regretted was that this monster didn't drop any crafting material or money.

Leroy looked at the tyrant and smiled, this would make things a bit easier, he didn't expect for a mythic to be so strong.

Trafford inmediatly attracted the mythic's attention as it launched itself at him.

The tyrant wasn't as fast as before but still much faster than a grand lord.

Trafford disappeared, surprisimg the tyrant for a second. Behind him, Wonder used a strong skill and his hammer made a solid impact on the creature's chest, sending it back.

At this point, everyone was constantly attacking.

Leroy then decided to go all out from the beginning.

'Magic Synergy' 'Land of the Dark' 'Demon Domain' 'Unholy Domain'

His spell efficiency increased, as well as his and his summon's attributes did.

The tyrant was visibly slower as the twilight knights sorrounded it and started attacking.

The knights used a whirlind skill, rotating and sending the tyrant flying at the sides. Their attributes had increased massively.

The tyrant inmediatly became a pinball, one whirlind sent it flying to the other.

The personal guards also started taking action. Ifrit chanted as a river of lava rlse between the knights, where the tyrant crashed before being hit again by the knights.

Poisonous fog also appeared in the path between the knights as the venomancer guard attacked.

When the twilight knights skill ended, it was Garo's turn to slash at the creature's chest.

The tyrant was pushed back and was about to fell on the ground when Wonder hit him in the back of his head and sent it flying vertically.

Leroy was surprised that the tyrant still had it's head attached to it's shoulders.

Everyone took the chance to deal as much damage as they could.

The mythic monster, that only had the standard of a Refinement Realm Expert, was no match for the team if he didn't have that massive attribute's advantage.

A terrifying spear pierced the mid air tyrant and exploded.

Dozens of powerful attacks landed in thd tyrant as it's body fell.

Large amounts of mana manifested from the tyrant as his wings flapped and it regained his balance.

From his wings, a rain of black feathers fell on the team from ten meters above.

Everyone used their defensive skills and spell inmediatly.

His shadow guard passive activated and healed him slightly, however, when not triggered, he lost almost half of his hp with each feather.

At this point, Elna appeared behind the tyrant and stabbed with her daggers.

'Spell Cutter!'

The rain of feathers stopped and even the tyrant wings dissipated.

The tyrant started falling again.

"We can't let it attack again" Leroy shouted and started attacking again.

As the monster crashed, everyone coordinated their attacks and in less than a minute, thd boss lost more than half of his hp.

Most damage was obviously done by the twilight knights. Still, four knight has already died, this spell couldn't be used again until all knights died, then the spell entered a cooldown of five hours.

As time passed, the tyrant grew stronger as he used his spells.

'The domains won't last much longer, the knights won't be capable of suppresing him then' Leroy noticed this as the tyrant's mama went berserk.

"Berserk? But he has more than 40%!" Robb exclaimed as he attacked, the tyrant sent him, Mark and Olympus back and almost killed them with a single attack.

Then a dense purple mana came from within the monster body as a saber condensed on his hand.

"Can mana be used like this?" Leroy was surprised "Is this a skill? It doesn't looke like one" He mutered.

Two more knights were crushed under the tyrant's saber attacks.

'Magic Current' 'Demonic Energy'

Leroy also used his berserk spells and his boots skills.

His attributes increased massively, his aura made the sorrounding area tremble slightly until everything seemed to silence.

The tyrant inmediatly put his attention on Leroy and rushed saber in hand.

"Is this how mana is supposed to be controled" Leroy looked at his hand, mana flowed according to his will. He felt an endless amount of power flowing through his body.

The tyrant got closed and used a saber skill followed by two dark mana snakes that came to Leroy from the sides.

'Shield of Heity'

Leroy casted and a shield formed in front of him as usual, however, he guided the mana and two more shields formed at his sides.

The tyrant was pushed back like a bullet due to Leroy's magic attack, both snakes dissipated inmediatly.

'So it is like that, this is how it is supossed to feel' Leroy tought as he felt the mana manifesting around.

"He... this" Mark looked at him with an open mouth.

"He is breaking through!" Robb was flaggergasted at the sight.

"This is... above Domain Realm..." Olympus heart trembled at the aura coming from Leroy's body.

Domain Realm experts could affect their sorroundings to a certain degree, however they didn't know what someone at a higher realm could accompmish as such a people could probably be counted with a hand.

Leroy felt his control over mana improve massively.

"Spells are guidelines, true control lies on ourselves" Leroy mutered as he took a step forward.

'Dark Fireball'

He casted but this time he manipulated the mana himself, he didn't let the system complete the spell for him.

Three huge fireballs appreares in front of him and he launched them at the mythic creature that was standing up.

Boooooom!

The fireballs released a small explosion that made the entire city center tremble, it sent shockwaves through the entire city.

The tyrant howled in pain as a rain of feathers came from withing the dark fire.

Leroy didn't bother defending.

'Sin of Fury' 'Dark Spear' 'Dark Rain'

Leroy increased his damage again and two spears appeared at each side. Instead of one large sphere of mana, three mid sized ones appeared above.

Leroy sent both dark spears and they almost instantly pierced the tyrant.

At the same time, from the three spheres in the air, dark arrows shot toward the their target.

Both spears landed and dealt massive damage to the target, one even became a critical hit.

Leroy's damage and attributes was huge in the berserk state, now with this degree of control over mana, he could even use more attacks instead of being limitated by the system.

The game helped players to use their spells, but at the same time, it limitated them severely.

Leroy was still limitated by the cooldowns and the spell base damage, but that was all.

His mana also decreased sharply as his control still couldn't compare to the system, which used the most efficient way to cast a spell.

But mana didn't worry him.

The tyrant released a huge aura and entered a berserk state once again. The saber on his hand released an aura that suppressed everyone around.

The attack he just received took 13 millions from his health, he ended in a heavily injured state inmediatly.

Yet, seeimgly oblivious to this, he charged again at Leroy.

"Strength without control, is just violence...."

Leroy walked to him calmly.

"...Strength with control, however..."

He talked as he started casting one spell after the other.

"is true power"

He said and a huge syphoon appeared between them, it seemed capable of devouring everything around the city center, it's range easily stretched to 100 meters.

The dream chaser team was forced to retreat slightly.

Dark arrows fell, more than ten illusory snakes bitted the tyrant.

Leroy's mana exploded forth as he draw a cross with his finger in thd horizon.

Cross shaped waves of mana constantly assaulted the mythic monster inside the typhoon.

Leroy could clearly feel the monster that has fell to the ground.

But now he did something different.

His mana started condensing at his eyes and started following a certain pattern.

'Sovereing Eyes Technique'

His view of the world started to change quickly.

He could see the array supressing the tyrant around, it had many magic nodes.

"So frail" He muttered while looking at some nodes on the array, they were clearly much weaker, he felt that if he attacked them, the array would probably collapse.

He could also see the monster sorrounded by attacks clearly.

As the mythic fell to the ground, it was sorrounded by a large shield that protected him from most attacks.

"That won't be enough" Leroy said and five bone spikes rose from within the shield, penetrating the tyrant from all sides.

The tyrant roared in pain but still didn't retract the shield, that syphoon and the arrows were too dangerous.

He looked at his enemy in rage after the spikes disappeared, he could only wait until the attack dissipated.

The syphoon was constantly draining his mana as he didn't cast the spell following the system but using his own mana.

He just tried to imitate the flow of mana that the spell had when using thr system, this time, controlling his own mana.

The syphoon and arrows disappeared and the tyrant inmediatly took this change to rush at him, he didn't have much health left, this fight couldn't be dragged any longer.

Leroy tought the same, if his berserk skills went off first, he would die. If the tyrant killed him first, he could kill the rest or at least escape.

He tried to manipulate mana but this time, he didn't follow any of the mana flows of his spells.

He instead spread his mana in the form of chains that wrapped themselves around the tyrant.

Following them, bars of mana sorrounded it forming a cage.

The tyrant cut the cage in hald but the chains still managed to stop his charge.

At this point the rest of the team also attacked the monster.

"I can see through you" Leroy said while looking at the enemy with his pitch black eyes.

He could feel the tyrant's mana flowing clearly, the spots that had the highest ampint of mana should be his strongesr point, while those with the least density could clearly not protect the tyrant.

Leroy rearranged the mana on his eyes as he tried to improve his mana-based Sovereing Eyes Technique.

The tyrant made the chains explode with his own power. However, he only had 5% of his hp, knowing better, he spread his wings and prepared to flee.

"Gravity Field" Trafford casted and the tyrant body's lost balance but still managed to fly.

A large lightining fell on the tirant's back but didn't manage to stop it.

Leroy saw that he only had less than a minute on his berserk state and looked at the tyrant with a smile. He used all of his luck skills before saying.

"Mythic monsters sure are scary, if it wasn't because of that precious array and all our stackable debuffs decreasing his attributes massively, it would be impossible to defeat it" Leroy smiled as the rest nodded while attacking.

"But even light can't escape the darkness, black hole"

Leroy rose his left hand, aiming his palm at the tyrant as his mana exploded forth.

The mana formed a vortex that spinned at high speed and seemed capable of swallowing everything.

The flying tyrant's speed was further reduced and even started being pulled back.

There was not enough time to be shocked, everyone did their best to attack.

'Dark Spear'

A single spear appeared at Leroy's side this time, he had almost no mana even after using his berserk states and mana potion.

The tyrant that was trapped at the vortex let out a howl as his berserk state ended and he entered a weakened state, his wings disappeared as his defenses fell apart.

The spear along many other attacks landed and the tyrant's corpse fell on the ground.

"A mythic monster's body sure is strong" Leroy said as he also left his berserk state.

His body felt extremely week as his attributes were reduced by 80% for 24 hours. His mental energy was drained too, but not enough to make him collapse.

"Leroy, what was that? Did you broke through?" Everyone asked curiously as they walked toward the tyrant's loot.

"Yes, controlling mana seems much easier now" Leroy replied with a smile.

He could now use spells without following the system generated ones. It was no different from using combat techniques, altough he noticed that said spells were still limitated by the system.

"Let's see the drops" He said.
