Knights and Beasts

When Valkorion returned back to his manor, the first thing he did, as usual, was to put away the remaining Gold Dragon Coins that he had before he went to sleep as he was tired from the entire journey to the nethers of the Painted Mountains and the entire mess around it.

He was dead tired from the journey of returning back to the Cartharys, and due to the fact that during the expedition into the Painted Mountains, sleep wasn't much of an opinion, his tiredness had just accumulated together till now.

***

The next day, he was going through the things that he brought back with him, as the most important things were obviously the Potion Formula for the Sequence 6 Beast Knight Potion from Albus, together with the ingredients that he requested, as everything was already prepared for him.

Albus managed to get it for him, so Valkorion was in a very good mood because now he only needed to wait until his current Potion had fully digested, which, thanks to the latest trip, wasn't that far, and he could finally advance to the Sequence, 6 Beast Tamer.

Now, after obtaining an additional few thousand Gold Dragon Coins, his overall wealth was reaching the sum of over 7,000 Gold Dragon Coins, which was a very nice number, if he had to admit.

In a few days, he planned to go into the commercial district to buy an armor for himself, preferably something made from the Valyrian Steel or some similarly though material, now that he had more money, as these scraps that he was wearing were far from enough.

Due to the impending overpopulation of goblinoids within the Painted Mountains, there were far more soldiers and adventures within the Cartharys than usual, and due to that, there were also more blacksmiths in the Cartharys than usual.

Valkorion heard that many famous ones across the Freehold decided to go into the Cartharys to open their shops and forges to make money because there was a constant need for good weapons and armors.

The money one could make from creating armor and weapons was staggering, especially if the already mentioned equipment was made from some more extraordinary materials or it became a Sealed Artifact.

Valkorion even heard that some dwarven Forge Masters came into the Cartharys and opened their stalls, which was very rare occasions, as dwarves typically kept to themselves in their underground kingdoms and rarely dealt with the surface world.

Aside from their contact with the Valyrian Freehold, Golden Empire of Yi Ti, and Winter Kingdom of North, not many could boast of having even traded with the dwarven underground nations.

Now that Valkorion obtained a superb sword from this Patron God?, if he could call 'Him' like that, the sole thing that needed some serious upgrade was his armor because it was severely outdated compared to his needs.

Additionally, advancing to Sequence 6 was right now his priority, though he needed to wait for the Chosen One of 'Him' to find him in the Cartharys, from which they would most probably go to the Volantis and from the Volantis to the Orange Shores.

Still, what was annoying was that he didn't even have the slightest idea when the Apostle would arrive, so he would need to wait in his manor. Still, he had enough adventuring and fighting for the time being; thus, remaining home and just training was also an acceptable scenario for him.

Valkorion already stored the Potion Ingredients for the Beast Knight Potion in a safe place within the manor because this manor also had a Ritualistic Room that served as a place for the Beyonder to concoct the Potions and other things.

There were two main ingredients for the Sequence 6 Beast Knight Potion

One of them was the Spring of the Elves Marrow Crystals, which resembled a faded egg. These crystals feature thin shells that appear fragile and prone to shattering at the slightest touch. Despite their delicate appearance, they contain swishing water inside, even without agitation.

The second was the Royal Jellyfish's Venom Crystal, which was basically the crystallized poison gland of the Royal Jellyfish, rather a rare thing to come across because one would need to fish in the depths of the ocean to find Royal Jellyfish as they were cautious creatures that lived only in the deep water currents.

Aside from those, there was a whole bunch of secondary ingredients that Valkorion didn't even bother to remember, as he locked everything in the Ritualistic Room after he returned back home.

The room was basically a safe place for the Magic stuff where one could practice one's abilities in a relatively safe environment if it could be called that way. It wasn't the best one around, but it was still far better than nothing, he had to admit.

He also needed to think about further advancement in the form of how to fastest digest the Sequence 6 Beast Knight Potion. Valkorion already did his research about the Sequence 6 Beast Knight, as the libraries of the manor had some information about the Low Sequences of some pathways, fortunately, at least.

It was still better than nothing.

The most problematic aspect would be dealing with the entire Taming aspect of the Sequence 6 Beast Knight. According to the lore that Valkorion found, when Beyonder advanced to the Sequence 6 Beast Knight, then he needed to tame a beast and make it his familiar.

The correct acting method was to not only tame the beast but also take care of it and fight with the beast side by side against the enemies, reaching the true embodiment of the Beast Knight.

Ergo, the Knight, was using Familiar to fight.

Now, that was a bit problematic for Valkorion because he was thinking which beast he should choose as his first one when he advanced to the Beast Knight. Because of his Valyrian Dragonlord heritage, obviously, the best choice would be Dragon.

But...

That was nigh impossible for many reasons, but obtaining Egg of the Dragon with his current status was an impossible task. He knew that if he managed to awaken his Tenebraenys Lineage and reach Mid Sequences, he could try his luck and enter into a contract with some wild dragon.

There were two most distinctive groups of dragons in their world, which Valkorion had to note that their world didn't have a name; everyone was calling it a "known world" or something like that, but some Scholars were actually calling their world Faerûn, mostly taken by the Elves of the Sothoryos.

The word "Faerûn" was a modified version of "Faerie", the name of the homeland of Ancient Elves and Fae.

The Dragons were divided into two groups: Metallic Dragons and Chromatic Dragons.

Metallic Dragons were a type of Dragon typically distinguished by the color and composition of their scales, which were like that of various metals, hence the name. They were generally good, altruistic, and righteous creatures. Despite their relatively benign nature, Metallic Dragons were also aggressive when threatened or challenged.

Chromatic Dragons were a type of Dragon distinguished typically by a solid, non-reflective coloring of their scales, hence the name. The Chromatic Dragons were mostly evil, greedy, and predatory, but they could also be loyal when they obtained their loyalty, but it was a very hard feat.

Most of the Dragons that were in the Valyrian Freehold were either Red Dragons, Purple Dragons for the Chromatic Dragon group, Gold Dragon, Bronze Dragons, and Copper Dragons for the Metallic Dragon group.

Those who could, please drop some reviews... the story still doesn't have 10, and there are only around 600 collections so far...
