Ch. 13 All Saturday Long

Alabast woke up early as usual but felt better. His nightmares weren't that bad, if anything they were pretty tame all things considered.

Before he opened his eyes he stretched his arms, then his back, then his legs and tail.

"That's so precious" he heard Nora say in a whisper.

He opened his eyes and finished his stretching. He saw Nora with her scroll out facing him.

"Norrraaaa" Alabast slowly said her name.

"Yes Alabast?" She whispered

"You wouldn't have been recording me right?"

"Mhm" She hummed as she slwoly moved her scroll to her nightstand.

"It's Saturday, why are you up so early?"

"Is it? Hahaha. Guess I'll go back to sleep!" Nora laid back down and pulled her blanket up to her head.

Alabast set his feet on the floor and stretched his back again as he ran his hands through his hair.

He got up and went to the common room quietly. It seemed the others were gonna sleep in and he wanted to think about what he was going to do for the weekend. He had the report for the combat class to do but he will do that when the others do it. Unless they did it last night while he was still training, so he should just get it done and over with.

Alabast goes back to his nightstand and grabs his scroll and headphones. He grabs the necessary materials to right the report and heads back to the common room.

He was getting tired of the same music playing over and over, maybe he should ask Ruby for her playlist?

He started and finished writing the report. When he was done he had no idea what he wrote. It was just things he saw in the class while he was barely paying attention and what a huntsman is supposed to do and how they should act. Alabast was just glad to be done.

He decided to lay on the couch and get some more rest before he has to get moving. Maybe they will go into Vale? Or explore campus? Isn't Roman still terrorizing Vale? Maybe he can see if he found anything worth while.

Alabast drifted to sleep while thinking of what they could do.

An hour later he was woken up by someone poking his cheek. He opened his eyes and saw orange hair above him.

"Yes?" Alabast said flatly, clearly not amused by her antics.

Nora left her finger in his cheek. "Time to get up sleepy Ashy!"

"And what are we going to do today exactly?"

"That's for you to figure out and decide!" Nora stood up and jumped into the air since she could just make Alabast decide since he's the team leader. She was happy to not have to make decisions, and she wanted to know what he would decide.

"Fine, just keep it down would you" Alabast say up and took his scroll out.

He went to his contacts and saw Ruby. He called her and brought the phone to his ear. It rang three times and then it was picked up.

Alabast could hear shuffling in the background. "Did I call at a bad time?"

"What? No. We were just…..talking. What's up Ashy?"

"It's our first weekend and my team wants me to decide what to do. So I'm calling to ask and see what your team plans on doing"

Alabast can hear Ruby whispering to her team and asking them what they're doing. He hears Weiss and Yang talk over each other to answer but can't make anything out.

"Oh, we….are…..not doing anything! Yep, we got nothing planned! So why don't our teams group together and we can go have fun!"

"Ok. Fun where? On campus or in Vale. I think the next bullhead leave in 45 minutes"

"45 minutes? Alright! We will meet you guys outside our door in….when we're ready!"

"And she hangs up" Alabast says taking the phone away from his ear.

"That was fun to watch" Nora says giggling.

"I'm sure it was Umbra" Alabast says after he sighs.

Alabast gets up and goes to the main room. He sees Pyrrha sitting at her desk messing with something on her scroll. Ren is on his bed just wiping the sleep off his face.

"Team ANVL. We will be leaving to go to Vale in 30 minutes. The bullhead leaves in 45. Get ready and we will meet up with team RWBY"

Everyone gets ready. Alabast wears his combat uniform since he doesn't really have casual clothes.

The rest of his team is wearing casual clothes. Even Ren is.

"Should we get some clothes?" Nora asks.

"That….would be helpful" Alabast didn't want to go shopping for clothes since they would make him play dress up, but he did need more clothes.

"Yay! Shopping!" Nora jumps onto Ren who stumbles a bit but doesn't fall. He looks at Alabast and closes his eyes wishing him good luck that he will survive.

"Sounds exciting! I haven't been able to go shopping with friends before" Alabast looks over at Pyrrha who is blushing. "I mean, I've gone shopping with girls my age before but they weren't really friends per se. they just wanted to hang out with the 'Invincible Girl' an-"

"It's ok Pyrrha. I'm in the same boat" Alabast sees Pyrrha calm down since she worked herself up so much. He hadn't seen her act like that before. She normally is calm and level headed.

Pyrrha smiled at Alabast and he felt his chest warm up.

"Ok, let's see if team RWBY is ready" Alabast moves towards the door so he doesn't look at Pyrrhas beautiful smile for too long.

Team ANVL left their dorm room with Alabast in the lead. He went to the door directly across from theirs and knocked three times.

The door was opened to reveal team RWBY in casual wear. Ruby had her red cape on. Yang was wearing basically the same thing just different. It's still as revealing as her combat outfit. Weiss was wearing fancy expensive looking clothes and Blake was wearing black. Pyrrha was wearing normal clothes that matched her gold and red scheme.

(I have no clue when it comes to fashion, I recommend to Google casual clothes for team RWBY and team JNPR to have a visual)

"Ready?" Alabast says while admiring their fashion sense.

"Ready and raring to go!" Ruby shouts and gives a thumbs out.

"Like what you see?" Yang asks as she leans over Ruby's shoulder.

"Everyone is dressed nicely" Alabast says as he turns to walk down the hall.

"Is that it?!" Weis states disappointedly.

"It's Alabast. That's as good as it will get" Blake quietly points out.

"Look, his tail" Pyrrha points out.

Alabast looks behind him and sees his tail moving decently fast. "Damn traitor!" He grabs his tail and brings it to his front and continues walking. He hears laughing behind him as he continues walking. The others follow behind him and they get to the bullhead and step inside.

"Guess what we are doing?!" Nora is standing in front of everyone.

"Where?!" Ruby matches her enthusiasm.

"We are....drum roll...…Going clothes shopping for Ashy!" Nora throws her hands above her head like she said something absolutely spectacular.

"I was wondering why he was wearing his combat uniform" Weiss says while holding her chin and looking at Alabast.

"We get to dress Ashy up!" Ruby was excited about the idea of choosing his wardrobe and seeing him in all types of clothes.

Blake's is silent but sizes Alabast up. "Where are we going to find clothes that will fit him?"

"True. He is rather….large" Yang looks from his toes to his head and looks at his wide shoulders. She can also see his muscles just beneath the fabric.

"There must be a place that would sell his size" Pyrrha talks to herself aloud.

Nora looks from Alabast to Ren. And Ren knew she was gonna say something rude. "See Ren? At least you don't have that problem! You can find clothes easily for yourself!"

Alabast looks over to Rens slim and fit frame. He puts a hand on his shoulder and closes his eyes.

Ren can't decide if he's mad at Nora or Alabast. Nora said it but Alabast just really didn't say anything and only closed his eyes. Ren wasn't super mad, but it definitely ticked him off.

"Oh Renny, don't worry. Muscles like Alabast's would look weird on you! You look the best the way you do now!" Nora tried cheering him up with her honest thoughts as she jumped on him.

"Wait!" Ruby holds her hands out. "Alabast!"

"Yes?" Alabast looks down at Ruby as she stares at him.

"Does your pants have a tail hole?!"

"I'm sorry what?" Alabast thinks he misheard Ruby.

"I asked if your pants have a tail hole. Because you have a tail"

"I know I have a tail!" Alabast face palmed with his right hand. "I was wondering why you asked that out of the blue. And for your information I can modify whatever clothing. I've been doing it because my tail is so large anyway even with the general Faunus clothes"

Everyone looks at his giant fluffy tail.

"It's rude to stare" Alabast with a neutral expression says as he looks at not only his teammates but a lot of strangers staring at him.

Everyone looks away from him except his teammates.

"Ohhh….That's so cool! So you can modify clothes?! I didn't know that! You don't strike me as that type of guy!" Ruby loudly expresses her thoughts.

"That must be annoying" Weiss thinks about having to modify every pair of pants he wears. 'What about his underwear?'. Weiss starts blushing after realizing what she was thinking about.

Pyrrha also blushes and looks at his tail, she apparently also went down the same train of thought as Weiss.

"You get used to it. It's better than having tail pains"

Blake makes a weird face, like she understands what he's talking about. Then he remembers her bow and understands. She's just doing it to herself.

"I wouldn't mind holding your tail for you while you modify them~" Yang tries to be smooth. She just wants to be able to hold his tail, and maybe get close to him to feel his muscles.

"No fair Yang! I'm sure we all want to hold his tail!" Ruby steps in front of her sister to block her view of Alabast.

"Nobody will be holding my tail. That's unnecessary"

"We should focus on what we want him to wear" Weiss states, trying to change the subject.

The girls start discussing what would look good on him and what colors.

"Good luck" Alabast hear the monotone voice of Ren.

"Speaking from experience?"

"Yeah. Nora spent hours trying to find me the perfect outfits. She did a good job, but hours of trying on hundreds of outfits. You have 6 women trying to pick out and outfit for you. So again, good luck"

"Oh Gods. Then why are you here?"

"One, because Nora would never let me miss this. Two, bonding moment for everyone. And lastly, to watch how you handle this suffering"

"How kind of you Ren"

"Someone once said 'I never said I was nice' or something similar" Ren looked up at Abalast with a small smug smirk.

Alabast looks down and narrows his eyes at Rens smug look. "Touché Ren, Touché"

Ren and Alabast just wait in silence as the girls continue to talk about outfits. Blake adds in her two cents now and then.

Since they have aura, the weather doesn't bother them. Their aura will keep them warm if it's freezing cold and cool if it's boiling hot weather wise. Another benefit to outweigh getting hunted down by all the creatures of Grimm for the rest of your life.

And so when they land they walk to try and find a shop that has clothes in Alabast's size. Not many shops have clothes for 6 foot 6 inches muscular people. There's a reason why his clothes are always so tight on him.

They eventually find a store that actually has his size in many outfits. It just took a while to find it.

They walk in and are greeted by a small Faunus older man. He had raccoon ears and a mask to resemble the raccoons eyes.

They greet the old man and he tells them to come to the front with their clothes when they are done.

The girls start going through the isles of clothes and find outfits that should be Alabasts size. The Racccoon was surprised to see the giant figure of Alabast but was happy to see he could be of help to the young man.

Alabast tried on so many outfits. He didn't really care which ones he got as long as they covered his torso. His arms could be exposed and he wouldn't care that much.

Yang kept on having him try on revealing clothes that would show off his abs and pecs. A few of the girls got nosebleeds at one point when he had on ripped jeans and an opened button down shirt that didn't have actual buttons. It showed off his sculpted torso and arms. It was Yang, Ruby and Blake that got bloody noses.

"I'm guessing this is a 'yes' then?" Alabast watches as they nod their heads slowly while they stare at him. Ren just facepalmed and shook his head.

Alabast tried on tshirts, jackets, sweatshirts, coats, shorts, sweatpants, jeans of all kinds (except jorts), and other articles of clothing. Alabast wouldn't get physically tired, but mentally he was going to have nightmares of changing clothes he's done it so many times.

He ends up with a lot of clothes that make him look 'extremely cool' 'manly' 'handsome' and other things. He was just glad he can be done.

He now has on a black long sleeve turtleneck and black pants. Over his shoulders he has a beige coat.

Alabast isn't one to care about fashion or his looks. But damn did he look hot. His pants also came with room for his tai already, it was a bit tight for now but it works. The others needed modification to allow room for his tail to slip through.

He went and paid the old man for the outfits. He carried three large bags on each arm. The girls each had one and Ren had two.

"I think we may have gotten a bit carried away" Pyrrha looks at all the bags of clothes.

"Maybe a tiny bit" Ruby admits.

"Only a bit?!" Weiss can't understand how this is a bit. "He now has more clothes than I brought with me from Atlas" She points out.

"And that's saying something" Yang says in a slightly mocking tone.

"Says the girl with no sense of fashion" Weiss mocks back.

"Let's get going back shall we?" Alabast tries defusing the situation.

A small rectangular box resembling a phone falls out of his old uniforms shirt pocket and hits the ground.

"Whoops" Alabast bends his knees and reaches to pick it up. He grabs it and puts it in his pants pocket opposite of his scroll.

"What's was that?" Ruby asks

"Was that….?" Blake mutters wondering if that was what she thought it was.

"It's just something from my past. I'm sure you guys will figure out what it is eventually. But until then it will be my little secret" Alabast starts walking back towards the bullheads.

"I can't believe it's almost dark out! We skipped lunch and dinner!" Nora shouts drawing attention from the people walking down the street.

"It did take a while. But it was fun" Pyrrha thought that shopping today was a hundred times better than shopping in the past.

"It was a blast! We got to see Alabast in all types of clothes. And there is no way he would have been able to pick them out on his own!" Ruby voiced her opinion.

"I never thought Alabast would wear those types of clothes" Blake said mostly to herself.

"I know Blake! Who knew our little Ashy could pull off some of those outfits so well!" Yang added onto Blake's statement.

"It was like a one person fashion show" Weiss remembered some fashion shows she went to in Atlas.

"Was it really that good?!" Ruby had to ask

Weiss blushes. "Yeah, it was one of the best…"

They kept talking about it all the way back to the bullhead. Alabast and Ren just listened to the girls. It was an enjoyable night. The sun was setting and the broken moon was becoming more visible as they walked through the town. There was a slight breeze every now and then that moved their hair gently.

At the bullhead Alabast decided to go for a visit since he was in the neighborhood.

"Can you guys go ahead and bring the bags to the room for me. I just remembered an acquaintance is in Vale for a day" Alabast said as he set the bags down inside.

"Who is this…..acquaintance of yours?" Blake gives a suspicious look to Alabast.

"Good question" Alabast turns around and walks towards the exit. "He's a real prick but he owes me some information" He doesn't turn around until he's off the bullhead and turns around. He gives them a single wave as the doors close.

After the doors close he turns around and put his hands in his pockets.

"Now where are you, you prick?" Alabast looks over to a screen that has Roman Torchwiks mugshots on it.
