As I sniffed around the Greenwood section, the scent grew stronger, drawing me closer to an empty seat. I hesitated for a moment before settling into the chair, hoping to catch another whiff of that tantalizing aroma. But my moment of solitude was short-lived as Gavin, Hunter, and Gabriel approached, their expressions wary and tense.

Gabriel's voice was firm as he demanded, "What are you doing here?"

I met Gabriel's gaze evenly, his own eyes flickering with determination. "I'm searching for someone," I replied cryptically, my tone guarded.

Gabriel's brow furrowed in suspicion, but before he could press further, Azaria intervened, speaking up from beside Alaric. "This is the seat of my beta," she stated firmly, her voice carrying an undercurrent of authority. "And in our pack, we protect our own. Who are you?"
