Chapter 72

She proceeded to lie by his side as the bed had enough room for her. With her hand placed on his side, she laid her head on his chest, his heart beating slowing down as she patted him. Oh, how tense he must have felt when he drank this much! She knew him to be many things, but the only time he resorted to getting drunk was when it came to her. 

Finally, she had him by her side, it was time to sleep.

Pandora woke up once again in the bedroom. She felt around for Braxton but he wasn't there. Knowing he was probably in the living room, she jumped out of bed strolling over to find him. 

" Hey!" She greeted, sniffing his new and fresh scent. He must have showered. 

" Hey! I thought you were going to wake up the next morning," he chuckled,  tucking away the document he held. 

She rubbed her weary eyes and glanced at the wall clock and her jaw dropped. She had been sleeping for the past few hours. What a nap!
